Here is my analysis and interpretation of Alien Stage — particularly the setting/location of the story. It won't focus on that exclusively, though. Warning, this is my interpretation, it's not canon or anything.

Earth

So, as we all know, Earth was destroyed by the segyeins when they invaded and took over (see below).

As you can see, the aliens swarmed the planet and during the ensuing chaos, and it left the world in a pretty dystopian-esque, wastelandish state. However, you may notice that there are still some patches of blue and green on the planet, indicating plantlife and water, so we know that the world isn't completely barren.

Earth Society/Landscape

Due to it's landscape, I think it's safe to say that this is Earth. As you can see, it's pretty desolate and the buildings are all in ruins. I'd wager to say that this probably carries into most other locations on Earth, not counting the still-alive parts I mentioned before. Quick side note: if Earth was completely barren, how would the rebels still be alive if there wasn't a source of food and water? I think it's generally agreed upon that the rebellion base is somewhere on Earth, and it's not like the aliens are lining up to give them supplies.

The segyein society is far more advanced than that of the humans. They have the token sci-fi buildings: pure white, elaborate layout, very inorganic. The humans appear to live in the city with the segyeins. I'm actually inclined to believe that the alien society is on Earth, and I'll explain that in further sections.

Anakt Garden

If you look at the background of this scene, you'll see a sprawling city in the bottom left. Then to the right, it's just landscape, nothing else there really. This seems more akin to Earth's landscape. The city in the background, given its size, also seems to support that aliens live on Earth, since all human cities were presumably destroyed in the invasion.

In the interview with Sua and Mizi on Vivinos' patreon, they say the following:

Sua: "We used to look up at the night sky together when the ceilings opened up at Anakt Garden. I remember when we were young, every time we saw a spaceship in the sky, MIZI would always try to convince me that it was Earth."

Mizi: "Oh, right! Hehe. I didn’t have the right prescription in my glasses, so the lights in the sky were always a bit blurry. And that’s why any time I saw a spaceship, I thought it was Earth. I’ve never seen Earth before, but I was told that it was a planet that gave off a brilliant glow, you see."

That would imply that they weren't on Earth and were somewhere else. Although, as Mizi stated, neither knew what Earth looked like, so they very well could have been on Earth and not known it. And Sua also mentioned "when the ceilings opened up". Obviously, if they were somewhere on space, that wouldn't really turn out well.

In addition to this is a part from Hyuna's comic.

Jacob said he found Hyuna in a sewer traveling back to the Anakt Garden. There are two different things to consider here. First off, the rebellion is on Earth, I think we can all agree on that. So him finding her at all would naturally support the theory that the Anakt Garden is on Earth because if she'd been in space, a) How would she have managed to get to Earth in the condition that she was in? and b) How would Jacob have managed to get to the Anakt Garden or near it if Hyuna had been in space?

Alien Stage Location

In the scene where Hyuna and Mizi are in the hallway with the robots, outside the windows clearly looks like space — inky black with stars. But then you see Isaac and Dewey burst in on the motorcycle. So how could that be space if they weren't wearing any sort of suits or at least an astronaut helmet or something? Then when they clear the floor, the lift shows them going up.

After that, they show up leaving this building, which obviously is not in space. So why was there 'space' outside the windows in the hallway? No clue; maybe it was just a visual thing.

In this scene near the end, it shows Mizi and Hyuna on the hover scooter. And wouldn't you know it, the dome in the background is where the Alien Stage takes place. This is further backed up if you go to the video; you'll see the holographic leaderboard showing the next round, Ivan vs Till. Therefore, the Alien Stage arena is almost undoubtedly on Earth.

Space

My hypothesis is that the children who are participating in Alien Stage are raised in their respective spaceships with their guardians. There's a logical reasons for this:

The Aliens have likely spent a lot of time, money, and effort raising these kids until they could participate in the Anakt Garden. If they were on Earth, the kids could find ways to escape somehow or rebels could rescue them. One way to make sure that doesn't happen is by making it so the kids have nowhere to run and the rebels don't have a way to get to them. The easiest way to do that? Raise the kids in space.

How they get to Earth is actually supported somewhat in the Mizisua video: in the clear transport boxes.

Now, I know that this video could be interpreted as a metaphor for Mizi and Sua seperating in the sense that Sua died and that's why their containers start going opposite directions, but I think it has some merit.

If that was the whole purpose of the video, why include this scene? Why not start in space already?

Also, bringing your attention away from that for just a moment and directing it elsewhere; in the center of that image is another pair of kids being transported. And the location Sua and Mizi are currently in seems to be a hub where the aliens drop their kids off who are participating in Alien Stage.

I actually don't think they live there all the time, just until they reach the Anakt Garden. Maybe they return there once they win Alien Stage, who knows?

Anyways, that's my thoughts on the locations in Alien stage. I believe that the Anakt Garden and Alien Stage, as well as the majority of the aliens live on Earth and not in space or on a different planet. Of course, this is going off of the limited information we have, so it's likely not 100% accurate.
