⋆. 𐙚 ˚ Rebekah Mikaelson as a lover
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
. Fem!reader/ GN!reader x Rebekah Mikaelson. Canon typical violence mentioned, human x vampire, possessive Rebekah, not much else to add.
Rebekah doesn’t want a casual fling. In fact, it’s probably the last thing she wants after every disastrous relationship she’s had. She wants to finally be able to express her love without the fear of a dagger being pressed into her back or losing her partner because of her brother’s recklessness.
She’s probably wary of you in the beginning of your relationship, trying to decipher if your feelings are genuine. When she realises that you’re just a normal human with big ole fat crush on her, she eases slightly. Then, she begins to worry. You’re human, she’s a vampire.
You don’t know about the supernatural. You just thought she was extremely pretty and wanted to pursue her. That’s what has her putting distance between you.
She can’t bring you into this world. She can’t risk your life. Contrary to what she tried to make herself believe, she actually cared about you. Nothing worked to keep you away. Not her snarky attitude, her clear detachment that she tried to enforce. You kept coming back. And she crumbled.
Despite her rough and subjective bitchiness, she craves physical affection. She might scoff under her breath, roll her eyes, but a tiny smile would twitch at the corners of her mouth whenever you take hold of her hand or brush a sweet kiss against her temple.
But Rebekah isn’t all sweet affection and craving intimacy. She likes knowing her partner can handle her—handle the life that comes with being her partner, and most of all, her brother’s.
When you first start dating, she refused to introduce you to any of her family, claiming that it was complicated. In reality, her brother’s are a murderous mess, and heaven’s know what they’ll do if they see you.
Niklaus’ possessive nature to keep their family tightly knit is a disaster waiting to happen. He would glare, try and compel you to forget about them and be on your way, or rip out your heart if he’s feeling generous. Elijah is more of a gentleman, though he’s wary of your intentions. Kol is taking any chance to dig a little deeper and test your true feelings for his sister.
Safe to say.. family introductions are put on hold.
Rebekah is a fiercely loyal individual. She will defend you through thick and thin and put her life on the line for you. If that loyalty isn’t returned in the same manner, she’s a bit off-put by it. She might think she’s doing too much for you, risking her neck for unnecessary means—curtesy of Niklaus’ ramblings.
One of the most prominent traits of hers is her jealousy and temperament. Her eyes will follow you wherever you go. Every movement, every breath. Nothing slips by her. Especially not the stares of other people. You’re oblivious.. of course you are. Sometimes that annoys her. How could you be so oblivious? The world is dangerous—far too dangerous for you. Her temper flares. She’s not her father’s daughter for nothing. She has his anger—his lashing fire.
When she catches someone trying to talk to you At a bar you both frequent, she slides into place next to you, wrapping her arm tight around your waist and pulling you into her side. She offers a sarcastic smile. “Can I help you with anything, mate? Or are you going to continue staring at my girlfriend?”
Safe to say that anyone in the vicinity knew of the Mikaelson’s. He stiffened, casting a fleeting glance to the dagger-like eyes of the Mikaelson woman and mutters an apology before fleeing.
Her satisfaction is boastful and proud. She plants a kiss onto your cheek before pulling you for another round of drinks. For the rest of the night, she has a tight hold around your waist and keeps her guard up for any unexpected intrusions.
It would come to the time where Rebekah has to tell you about the supernatural. She’s tried to keep it away from you, for your safety, but there have been too many close calls that she has to smother with lies. She can’t continue lying to you, because her heart is completely and utterly yours. Lying to you feels like a dagger in her chest.
After she sits you down on your bed, clutching your hands like a lifeline, she’s oddly skittish. She’s not the confident, arrogant woman you know and love. She’s quieter. Unsure. Treading on a fine line between staying and fleeing from you.
You take it surprisingly well. You’re quiet, trying to process the information she spits at rapid fire. It’s silent. Your hands tighten around yours, and her eyes are expectant and.. afraid. To sedate the growing fear, you bring her hand up to your face and press a gentle kiss against her knuckles—though your mind is a mess of thoughts and confusion.
You’re upset that she didn’t tell you sooner, but you understand in the end.
That’s when she finally decides to introduce you to her family. Now that you know about her origins and—in between heated kisses and moaned apologies for waiting so long—you have an idea of the dynamic they share.
Her presence stands firmly beside you, hands locked together as she introduces you. Her partner. She tugs you a little closer when Klaus’ eyes seem to slant with anger. A man, who you know as Elijah, plants a firm hand on his brother’s shoulder, keeping him from lashing forward.
You try and offer an awkward, half-terrified smile. You thank every god and goddess out there that your wonderful girlfriend is next to you, biting out words and threats. She plants herself in front of you, unaware that her brother slinked out of her view and towers over you.
Kol, you think, has an aggravating smirk On his face. His eyes are intrigued, curious, but sharp with something you can’t quite name.
You can’t wait to get back to your house, away from these crazy vampires.
Rebekah wouldn’t demand you to turn. In fact, she wants you to life your life as a human for as long as you can. The thought of turning you has entered her mind once or twice, but she crushes it down. She knows from experience that losing that part of yourself, the human part, is the most devastating losses of all.
if you bring it up to her, it would probably be late at night, in your room, facing each other as you whisper into the night.
”Would you ever turn me?” You ask, so soft that if she didn’t have her supernatural hearing—she might not have heard you.
She’s silent for a moment. “Not if you didn’t want to.”
“I want to.” You sit up, leaning on one arm as you trace her troubled expression with a finger. You smooth out the hard line in between her brows.
She huffs. “Why would you?”
Rebekah doesn’t want to admit that she’s afraid. Afraid that you would come to regret your decision. What if you didn’t want to be with her for eternity like you’ve said so many times? What if it all changes?
”Because I want this life to last longer.” You creep closer, noticing the slight flush in her cheeks—but admittedly the turmoil in her eyes. You lean in, peppering soft kisses along her skin. “I don’t want anyone else to take my place.”
A shiver rolls down her spine. “You know that would never happen.” She retorts, slipping her hands along your sides as you climb on top of her. “You are my only love.”
”Always?”
She sighs softly as you kiss her neck.
“Always and forever.”
