first off THANK YOU ALL FOR 2.6K (+ 5k on my twitter)!!! I can't put into words how much it means to me that so many people enjoy my art. I read every single tag left on reblogs and they all make my day :)

I've been interested in making a patreon for years and have been a bit too nervous to, but I realized I've got nothing to lose so! I've currently got three posts up on there already, with more scheduled over the next few weeks.

I'm working on some tutorials explaining how I approach colours and values, compositions, etc. as well, on top of other benefits. I'd really appreciate if you could take a quick peek at the two tiers I've got! All funds will help me finish university + support me while I look for jobs, and also afford more than one vegetable per grocery run

any tips for drawing folds in fabric? love how you do it

someone asked me this a few months back! as I said in that though I continued to fuck around and my approach has changed a bit.

To be completely honest (and sorry for the cop out answer but😭) it's all practice. a looooottttt of practice. Like I'm not kidding I have spent the past 6...7 years? Trying to figure out how to draw clothes? And I'm only just getting a grasp on it now.

Draw every day (by "draw" I mean literally anything, it doesn't have to be a masterpiece) use all the references you need, trace, whatever will help you get the hang of it. I did a lot of leyendecker studies over the years which helped a fuck ton. Tbh even now when im drawing clothes I'll often just have a tab open on my other monitor with his art up on it lmao

eh every now and then 🤔 I'll forever be grateful for my roots but growing up on early 2010s furry deviantart was a literal nightmare and it's left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth that I don't think I can wash out lol. no disrespect once a furry artist always a furry artist but. jeez you had to be there 💀

digital collaging helps a lot to come up with an idea for how I want a finished piece to look before I start on it but I haven't done that for my comics (yet), I dunno I just think a lot about how I can use negative space vs positive space (blank spaces vs areas that are illustrated) to convey something. Yoji Shinkawa does this really well :)
