The amount of AI stuff on the photography tags on this site (more specifically the tags dedicated to the artists on here since the earliest days of tumblr) and the number of reblogs and followers and recommends they're getting is rather disturbing. I realize it's not just tumblr, it's everywhere. It's insulting to real photographers, and I have to wonder what percentage of those rebloggers really do not realize this is AI, what percentage simply do not care, and what percentage is both. And it's probably best that I don't know the answer to that. There's actual artists and photographers on this site. Separately, there are digital artists, curators and edits. But AI is just a random bag of talent-less shit, a virtual visual Speak and Spell that teaches nothing. I'd really like to see AI labeled as AI and kicked from those tags. I also feel those blogs shouldn't be allowed to call themselves photography blogs. It is NOT photography. Disappointed would be an understatement, while at the same time, I'm not shocked. I am... pretty pissy about it. Ok, also an understatement. I think brain cells have been going off since it became commonplace, and it's possible my brain is now smaller for it. The process of creativity makes us human. Not this shit. (Sorry, I cursed a lot. And I'm not belittling how this effects writers. Let me throw one rock at a time.)
