Heyhey, Idk if you still take Katarsis requests, but I really wanted one of Alanas Brasas. I would love headcanons but I’m happy with anything—where Alanas dates a writer. <3 ty

A/N: So sorry this took so long!! this was very nice to write :)

I feel like Alanas would be very supportive of your writing, whether it is a hobby or for work, considering he’s written his own ep and is in the music industry, of course. (no clue if i over-explained that but oh well)

Whenever you’ve hit a block in your writing, he’s always there to pull you away from your desk, his hands rubbing over your shoulders and coaxing you into bed or into the kitchen to eat something. “You’re bound to be hungry by now. All that sulking must have burned your energy.” he says, setting you up with a nice, filling meal and a warm drink. 

However, he’ll also help you out with scenes you struggle to write or describe. If it’s romantic, he’ll be all sultry and sappy, allowing you to pull away to take notes with a grin on his face, happy to see you so motivated. He’ll take you on days out, like to cafes to help describe food and drink better and expand what you can mention, or even to forests or the beach in Palanga.

If you are too motivated, staying behind your laptop for too long, he’ll be similar to the writers block, making sure you’re cared for and not burning yourself out while not preventing your productivity flow. He’s overall really sweet about it, leaving you food and drinks, reminding you to take breaks, mainly by starting to scratch and massage your scalp out of nowhere, forcing you to yield to his touch.

Alanas Brasas x Reader

A/n: it's been a while since my hands have written anything but essays! but alas my exam season is over, so you all are being fed these crumbs of me trying to get back into my rhythm again. I hope this is enough food for katarsis nation until my next fic.

Wordcount: 0.5k words (drabble?)

Warnings: fluff, aftermath of nightmares, hurt/comfort, not wrapped up well, not beta read

Context: Zuikis = bunny (if not please do correct me TT)

ENJOYYY!!!

You awake with a jolt, chest heaving in tight breaths that feel like your esophagus is being strangled, hands white knuckling sheets and a near distant scream of yours fading in your ears from the slipping dreamscape.

Just a dream. Just a fucking dream.

You had better go to sleep again before Alanas wakes up. He sleeps so so soundly beside you, face angelic as it smushes into the pillow, no muscles of his even twitching at your awakening. Huh. He’s always been such a deep sleeper. He did always sleep through Jokubas’ practice drum the night before shows.

The fan whirs in the background, grounding you a little. 

Just a dream. Just a dream. 

Despite your reassurances into the dream being a false reality, it still flashes and burns into the back of your eyelids. The fear still sears you, like it’s being branded like a hot flush into the insides of your skin. You swallow thickly, starting to get up from the bed to escape the oppressive walls of the bedroom. 

Just as you carefully shift, already bracing for the cold hard-floors under your soles, Alanas groans sleepily, hands grasping your waist to stop you from leaving. So he can sleep through your jolts and shivers but not a little movement? Hm.

“...where are you off to…” He mumbles into the pillow, eyes still closed and his voice raspy from the clutches of slumber. 

“Water…” You meekly reply, petting his hair with clammy, trembling hands. You think he can feel his trembling because he perks up a little, eyebrows furrowed so sweetly like a cocker spaniel looking up at its owner. 

“Water? … You sure you’re just thirsty?” His thumb starts to rub circles against the skin that peeks from under your sleep shirt. Grounding. There. 

“You’re shaking a bit…”

“M okay.” You reaffirm. Whether you’re trying to convince him or yourself, neither of you know. You don’t see the way his lips tug into a frown at the way your voice wobbles. 

“I didn’t ask you that, love.” He keeps himself flush against you, keeping that pressure against your skin to keep you down to earth. “Tells me all I need to know.”

He sits up finally, nose pressed to the crook of your neck. He can read you too well, you think. He knows he can.

“You’re okay. You’re here, in bed with me. Just us. No loud noises, no pressure. Nothing that happened in your dream is real.” His voice covers you like a warm blanket, dampening your frayed nerves. 

Your breaths even out a little, just enough for it to feel like brambles aren’t puncturing your lungs like it’s death by a thousand cuts. As his hands remain, so too does his breath tickling your neck as it brushes against the skin there. 

“There we go, Zuikis, just deep breaths, hm?” He rubs your side with the same pressure as before, making your chest erupt with the warmth of a thousand suns.

“I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“I wouldn’t let you spiral after a bad dream, you know? What do you take me for?” He jokes, pressing a light kiss to your shoulder. 

“Let’s get you that water.”
