I can do about 10,000 essays about how bad the polish translation of Dog man is and how much I want to sue the person responsible for it, seriously people, if you need someone to translate Dog man so that people don't have to wash their eyes with domestos after reading them, I am at your service and I'll even do it for free so that we all don't have to suffer anymore

and can someone explain to me why they made Munchy a girl here?

they kept talking to him in the female form, saying "ma'am" and when I read it in polish I was like - wait, that was a girl? and when I read it again but this time I had an audiobook in english on my earphones and my suspicions were confirmed cause I felt that something didn't fit and in the original Munchy was male, I don't know why there was such a change but I suspect that it could have been because the word "torba (bag)" in polish has a female form and that's why they changed his gender but for me it's still idiotic cause they could have changed his name to "Mniamcio" or "Mniamuś" or something like that so that it would have a male form

You'll probably tell me now "stop being so dramatic, they're just children's books, the translation doesn't have to be that accurate" okay, so maybe now you'll explain to me why I find swear words in these books?

here they decided to replace the word "cops" with "suka" which literally means "bitch"

here the Fair Fairy says the word "kurna" which just like "kurwa", "kuźwa", "kurła" is a curse word, interestingly, in the season 2 of tetocu I caught this word twice, once said by Harold and once by Krupp and they said it very clearly

and here, where Petey said "diarrhea" in polish he almost said "sraczka" and then corrected it to "biegunka", both words mean the same but "sraczka" is vulgar cause it's taken from the word "srać (to shit)"

I understand that the polish language is known for having more curse words in the dictionary than normal words (we have over 300 curse words, this is not a joke) but that dosen't mean that we have to stuff them into CHILDREN'S BOOKS. AND THEN WONDER WHY EVERY SECOND WORD SPOKEN BY 10-YEAR-OLDS IN MY SCHOOL IS A CURSE

I think I really need to make one big post about these translations, or just send it to the publisher or wherever I need to so that they can fire this man who's making me suffer...
