Star Wars Age Gap Dynamics: Sibling vs Parent

I keep seeing the Star Wars tropes of Obi-Wan and Kanan being father figures to Anakin and Ezra respectively and it's always interesting to me. Obi-Wan is 16 years older than Anakin and Kanan is 14-15 years older than Ezra, which isn't a typical parental age gap, and I think that's where a lot of the emotional conflict between the two occurs in the series?

Both of the older parties end up thrust into a more authority/mentorship role to the younger one by chance, and I think they recognize that, but also don't necessarily see themselves as parents/they view themselves as more of an older sibling -- or they don't really have the normal experience/tools that someone who is actually a parent would have. Whereas the younger party sees them more as a parental figure. And so the older party ends up navigating this weird realm where they gotta enforce rules/standards or teach the younger party, but they communicate to the younger party more like a sibling than a child while the younger party expects more of a...nurturing approach if that makes sense? I feel like that's not quite the word I'm looking for but you get the idea.

The most obvious example is the "you were my brother Anakin" vs "he's like a father to me"

A lot of this is me pulling from my experience as someone who's ~15 years older than my youngest sibling lol, so I might be projecting somewhat too

Dooku and Obi-Wan, two people who both loved Qui-Gon.

This art parallels each other's events so to speak. While Dooku is sad for Qui-Gon near their memorial place, Obi-Wan gives his padawan braid to the Master and says goodbye to him one last time
