Well..something eventful happened..I'm aracnophobic and guess what I found crawling up on my charging cord and onto my bed near my face 🙃🙃..the worst of all?, well I threw really far my cellphone and charging cord, the cellphone it's okay, but when I looked down the freaking spider has desappeared!!..well, I guess I now have a eight legged roommate living rent free in my room 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is sad, I thought this commewnity was a nice and kind place, what happened with nice interactions and friendly replies?, we have to be nicer with others guys.

I have so many OC that are similar in design and characteristics to others, and I'm not claiming others stole my ideas or designs, and I didn't stole ideas or designs from others, it just happens when you are working with Mewtwo or Mew.

I was hoping this would all blow over, but since it's continuing to happen, now with people attacking other artists of the commewnity. I'm putting out my two fucking cents! Cause this whole art/character theft and pointing fingers, who stole what from who bullshit it driving me up the fucking wall!!

Long story short, it started with me and one other blog whose name I won't mention publicly. Despite the horrible light they tried to paint me in, I don't want anyone going to this person and ganging up on them. This person had some serious bitterness towards more "popular" artists and claimed that I've made characters similar to theirs and once used a pose they apparently used before (which was a very common pose, considering it was a reference from the game version of mega Y). Since then, they had desperately tried to conjure up evidence, narrowing down to the most miniscule detail how I've been stealing from them when I hadn't even known their blog existed until I was forcefully thrown into that unnecessary drama with the unhinged call-out posts they've made. With this being said, I'd like to point out that they never came to me or addressed this concern with me in the first place. They had every opportunity to privately DM me if they had suspected I was "stealing," but no, simply because they already made up their mind that I was a thief, that was a good enough reason to lack common fucking sense and decency, making what should have been a private issue public, going on to villainize and dehumanize me. And apparently, it hasn't stopped with me either, cause recently I've been seeing other artists in the community having to deal with this where people are being white knights on high horses, pointing fingers on how one artist's mewtwo looks "the same" if not "totally identical" as another artist's mewtwo. I refuse to believe it's a coincidence. But what makes me disgusted is that since TC's post, apparently it's had the opposite effect on some people and they're hopping on this blame bandwagon like it's some damn media trend!!!

This is NOT okay! Nothing about this kind of behavior is funny! It's upsetting to all of us. We dont need you causing problems where there isn't any, thinking you're doing us a favor! The majority of us are adults for gods sake! We are old enough where we don't need other people coming to us being tattle tails saying this person did this and that. That's what little children do! If you suspect any form of theft, I think I speak for ALL creators in this commewnity that we'd prefer you DM us privately saying something like "Hey, I think this person is copying you, might wanna look into it." And if possible, provide a link to the art in question, for which we would kindly thank you for making us aware and we'll handle it ourselves from there. Just a brief, yet SIMPLE interaction...that's all we ask!!! Don't even come at me with "Well, it's scary attempting to talk to an artist that's well known." Or dare I say ~pOpUlAr~ If you claim that taking the first step to send me a quick DM makes you nervous, yet you have no problem making public call outs in posts or asks, belittling and degrading what could actually be innocent artists doing nothing wrong, literally leaving yourself open to all kinds of comments and opinions from all kinds of people....I'm sorry but your anxiety isn't as bad as you say it is then, if being rude and ignorant in a public post/ask is easier for you. If you come to us, shaming someone else who 9/10 probably isn't doing anything wrong, thinking you'll be in our good graces for doing so, sorry, you're not going to be told, "Good job!" with a pat on the back and given a lollipop! You're just being an asshole.

Quick reality check for everyone who's made it this far before I end this train wreck of a rant:

People can have similar ideas that coincide with one another! There's only so much you can do when a whole community is focused around drawing the same character! We mainly draw mewtwos and mews, you're bound to find a plethora of similar colors, patterns, and designs because of it! Creativity only goes so far when trying to stay true to a character and not stray too far. It's not a crime to take inspiration from other artists' characters, we actually encourage this! It makes us feel good that you liked something we've done and you want to incorporate it into your own designs! It makes us happy that we inspired you! The line is crossed when someone does a literal copy/paste of a character down to the exact detail, and they call it their own original creation. That my friends is what stealing actually is!

so in regards to some recent community events

there have been some events happening in the community that unfortunately remind me of old happenings in previous fandoms, so I'd like to just put my two cents out there about the situation.

Mewtwo is overall pretty simple character design wise with a pretty simple palette. You'd seen how I have made some variations with a limited palette and they all still have some connection to the original purple and pink, or green and yellow. Because of that I know that I can't honestly expect someone out there might make a similar mewtwo character with colours close by, assuming that can never happen by coincidence is just unreasonable on my part, even when you add stripes as a nod to mewtwo's clone starters

So with that being said I think one needs to be reminded in this community that similarities are going to happen, be either colours, stripes, spots, accessories like glasses or scarves and not one of us owns that aspect of a design because sometimes you can only do so much with them while still trying to stay true to the original mewtwo

If there IS ever a situation where you might think perhaps there is another person out there who's designs lean closer to yours you should ask yourself first, is this a common thing? Does this artist have a history of copying everyone else, do they copy story ideas too or is it just in terms of appearance?

Once you consider that one should ask themself, how do I approach this? Simple, you send them a private message and you ask them. I can guarantee this community for the most part is pretty reasonable and I doubt the receiving end will bite your head off for asking. What shouldn't you do? smear them, making public call out posts accusing said person of theft with no evidence

That is what people did in my old community for the Lion King, and believe me when I was much younger I fell for the trap of making call out journals on thieves myself but that will never make the problem better, it just escalates the situation and makes it more complicated and stressful. I have dealt with genuine copycats in the lion king community, I have someone who has leeched onto both character aspects and story beats from me for fifteen years and counting at this point so at this point in my online career I've gotten better at telling coincidence from purposeful copying or theft. And the Lion King fandom has devolved into a sea of finger pointing and accusations, stealing and fighting. I've seen it happen every now and then here in the mewtwo and mew community now

Do not turn this community into what the Lion King turned into, we can be better than that, we can be adults and face the matter like adults, we can't be reactionary, we can't be twitter

I'm still trying to physically recover from Memorial weekend's events, which has left me pretty sore the last couple of days, so naps and Tylenol have been heavenly. But I've also been steadily making progress on the next comic. :>

Emergency Commissions!

My husband and I are both disabled and have been unable to find employment despite our best efforts for around 6 months now. We have enough money left for about 2 weeks of food, but there are medical bills, car loan payments, gas, heating, and insurance to pay for as well.

I'm taking $15 commissions through Venmo for colored doodles of a single character similar to the examples below- $10 upfront and $5 after I am finished.

I am most comfortable with sonic ocs and object ocs, but I am willing to try anything. I will NOT draw: -NSFW -Things involving hate speech or politics -I am also allowed to turn down any commission as I see fit.

So..I really like Mi as a character, so I drew a couple doodles of her, this time digital ^^.

As I said before Mi is an artificial hybrid created in a lab by some sick people that call themself scientist, using multiple human's DNA traits and Mew DNA, this last messed up with the human's DNA traits and resulted in that appearance of an extrange hybrid of multiple pokemon and human. Mi has an hybrid pokemon-human appearance in her natural state, but she feels horrible about it and like a freak of nature, so she uses transform to hide her weird appearance from others, except for her hand claws and feline teeth, which are useful for her daily rutine, but aside from that she refuses to show in her hybrid appearance, having a really low self-esteem in how she really looks like...

Mi is a super human, a hybrid created with human and pokemon DNA, so the corporation can use her as a lab rat to test medicines that can work both for pokemon and humans, doing unethical experiments on her...

Gladly, Mi scaped at a really young age, and learned to live on her own, and since she has pokemon DNA in her, she has some powers of really strong pokemon, some are really cool. Thanks to her powers she could survive and protect the mistreated ones, the pokemon with her are considered family, Mi lives in the wild with them, protecting and loving her family.

I want to say so much about Mi and her abbilities, but I think I could write and write about her and the post will be endless, you can ask about Mi if you want ^^, I'm excited to share my own pokemon story that I have been creating over a year ago.
