"Toxic" is from Britney's fourth studio album, In the Zone. It was co-written and produced by the Swedish duo Bloodshy & Avant with Janet Jackson in mind, then offered to Kylie Minogue, before it got passed to Britney. The single topped the charts in eleven countries, and reached top five in fifteen countries, but in USA it peaked at number nine.

It won Britney a Grammy Award in 2005, but most importantly it won tumblr's approval with the biggest landslide on this poll blog! "Toxic" samples the 1981 Bollywood song "Tere Mere Beech Mein".
