Every time I think about my life and all I have gone through, I’m quickly filled with Joy. Joy because I know that God is with me at all times. I know that He has not left me nor forsaken me. Each day I wake up, I wake up thankful, and ask Lord show me what I need to learn today. Doing this allows me to stay in a state of humbleness, accountability, and have the posture of servant hood leadership. I am not above nor beneath anyone, we are equals and we all have roles to play. At one point in my life, I was content with drinking, and living the “good life”. Just looking back and I can see the difference, not only in the physical but you see in the midst of this, was a man that was hurting, a man that was lost, confused, and alone. Even though there were friends around, there was something missing, I couldn’t find anything to keep me happy and fulfilled. The drinking didn’t do it, the clubbing didn’t do it, the environment I put myself in didn’t do it. The one thing that helped me find happiness, find purpose, and fulfillment was GOD.
