🇻🇳 Xin Chào! My family went to our favorite Vietnamese pho restaurant in the area. It is called Pho Ha Vietnamese Restaurant and it is located at Claremont. I skipped the usual order of Combo Pho, but instead tried their Specialty Noodles Soup. It’s a full package soup that has big slices of beef,quail eggs,shrimp and bbq pork.

🇰🇷 Annyeong! This weekend it’s my first time to make this korean dish. It is called Japchae. I made a little twist on it because the available veggies in my house is pretty limited. Aside from beef strips, I put shrimp on it. Here’s the major failure I experienced and I can’t believe it happened... i forgot to season it!! Asian cuisine without seasoning is just an awful thing for me. I just realized it when i served it to my family. EPIC LOL!!

Last week baking class is TART week. So I have here Caramelized Lemon Tart on the left,I decided to put a caramelized lemon candy to make it more attractive. I failed on the buttercream frosting part cuz i put it when the tart is fresh from the oven because we are almost out of time, so it just melted. On the right,I have a fruit tart. I decided to pick pear as my fruit and when i realized my tart will look pale so i designed it like a flower(?) to make it more appealing. It was fun!

🇯🇵 Itadakimasu! Earlier this morning, i craved for japanese food,and what better japanese food will match up this rainy weather today... of course!! Ramen!! 😋 So i searched for nearest ones and the nearest that i have found is this restaurant called Ramen Lounge. i have here Chicken Broth Ramen with pork belly,egg, corn and greeeens lol. This lounge is cozy and their servers are very nice. Cravings satisfied! Arigato!

On our family weekend lunch we went to an asian buffet. It is called Hibachi Super Buffet and it is located at Citrus Ave. Covina. I like their $1 bottled beer promo,but suddenly it hits me... the more beer you drink,the more you feel bloated... meaning the less food you will be eating. so i didn’t order one. nice try! 😉 but all in all i love their foods and they have a grill bar which i didnt try cuz cant wait to eat any longer. yay!

🇨🇳 Ni hao! On our weekend family dinner we went to Seafood Palace Restaurant at Hacienda Heights. Seafood Palace is a casual dining resto that serves Shanghainese Cuisine. I didn’t get a good shots on other foods,most especially the one that stands out for me. It is called House Special Chicken Lettuce Wrap,i like it because of the seasoning of the chicken with veggies (i think?). At the end of the meal,he gave us a Mung beans with pearls dessert. I suggest u guys to try this restaurant,plus the guy server is so jolly.

Week # 3 is Muffin Time. I have here on the left is a Blueberry Muffin that made by myself. On the other hand,a savory muffin which is a team effort with my buddy. The mustard taste on the savory muffin is overwhelming,so maybe we put a huge amount of mustard. I don’t know if its my taste buds or it just tasted like that.

I don’t usually eat on ski resort restaurants when I snowboard cuz i don’t like the bloated feeling after i head back to the slopes. Normally, I just packed my protein bar and just took a small break in between my ride. But how can you say no to this fully loaded cheese nachos,with freshly made protein of your choice. So I have here, Mt. Baldy - Top of the Notch Restaurant’s Cheese Nachos with Grilled Chicken strips. 💛

Another grind time last night at our baking class. Me and my group mate actually made 4,but i run out of time taking good shots on the others. On the left is a Swedish Thumbprint Cookies, and on the right side is a Ruchelach Cookies,both powered with Raspberry preserves. Our thumbprint cookies are overdone so chef suggested to add sifted confectioner sugar just to cover it up a lil bit,problem solved!
