A forgotten god was left abandoned in their last remaining temple. Searching for shelter from their enemies, someone enters expecting to be alone, but discovered the lonely being.

"Won't that kill them?" "Oh don't worry your pretty little head out- A god cannot die."

"It hurts.", Whumpee curled further in on themselves. Whumper rolled their eyes, "You are no god of my mind. I expect it to hurt."

"What have the people done to you?" The other god near cried as they dipped down to see whumpee's injuries better.

The whumper kept the whumpee in a pristine looking cage, full of false luxuries and comforts- but it was all so cold. The whumpee was just a decoration, an ornament in the whumper’s home. The whumper would only care for the whumpee if it made them look better to the public.

i mean yeah sometimes i write/read whump to cope with trauma but also sometimes i just do it cause its fun. no other layers to it i just like it when fictional characters are tortured

i love when a stoic rescued whumpee becomes more open because of a fever, drunkenness, etc and their friends/caretakers are freaked out by how wrong it feels to see them so carefree and open about their past.

like idk i just love the idea of the caretakers realizing that whumpee isn't acting like their usual self and if they let them share now they're going to regret it later so they try their best to just distract them or get them to bed. and the caretakers are curious as hell about whumpee's past but they just know it wouldn't be right to find out like this.
