Inside Out HCs 2:

A Human!AU

Jessica "Jess" Calhoun (Joy) and Abraham "Abe" Keizer (Anger) were childhood friends that grew up down the street from each other. Attending the same schools, spending breaks, and navigating life together, these two were inseparable. Jess was 6 months older than Abe, and their parents were, coincidentally, college best friends.

Until one day in freshman year, Abe realized he had feelings for Jess.

He wanted to tell her for so long. He watched as she went on dates, trying hard to be supportive while fuming with jealousy. It's not that she wasn't allowed to date, it's just that all of the guys at their school wouldn't treat her right in his eyes. Jocks that were using her to brag, guys who have no concept of personal space or boundaries, and others who just didn't see how wonderful of a person she was. She was beautiful, courageous, headstrong, hilarious, caring, loving, stubborn at times yet well meaning, and amazing the way she is. He loved everything about her, and would've done anything to see her happy, even if that meant letting someone else do that.

However, out of all 4 years, not a single guy she dated earned his approval.

She always thought he was funny for how he acted, even if at times feeling a bit overwhelmed by his responses; she knew he meant well. She did give those dates a shot, but in the end, they just weren't who she was looking for. Abe was always protective of her, always there whether she needed him or not, helped her with her problems, offered her a comforting shoulder to cry on, complimented her, bought her food and clothes, taught her how to drive...

Oh...

That one day in senior year... it just hit her...

She liked him. A lot. A whole lot.

All of those feelings just completely washed over her in that moment.

Now it was the end of their graduation day. They sat in his backyard, kicking their feet in his pool. He was leaning against her shoulder, gently holding her arm. They were alone for a few minutes.

He swallowed his fears.

"Jess... I-I'm... really proud of you."

She was smiling softly, moving her hand to hold his. "Thanks Abe. I'm really proud of you, too. You really pulled through pre-calc in the end." She chuckled. "But look at us, finally high school grads, going off to college in a few months."

"Yeah..." He held her hand, a little tighter than he meant to, but he felt so right holding it.

"I'm glad that we'll be going through it together." She said sweetly, looking down at the water. He saw the light ripples reflecting in her eyes... they made her lip gloss shine beautifully. "I hope... I hope that you and me will be together forever."

"We will, Jess." He reassured her with a smile, enjoying the feeling of their hands together even more. He felt a blush overtaking his cheeks, but it didn't bother him.

After a minute, they both looked at each other. Their faces had warm expressions, they felt tranquility in that moment. The glimmering pool reflected off of their bodies, causing each other to be lost in their shared gaze. As if their hearts were calling for each other, they slowly leaned closer and closer...

...and exhaled as they shared their first kiss.

A little headcanon to consider if Daiishkan has more than the stated 13(18) children

Imagine that they were at some point defined into “domains” as a semblance of...Umm, what's the right name for it? “Family houses”?

But Daishinkan literally created a bar catalog “menu” based on his children's names and assigned them to Domains.

(Angels of WINE domain) This domain includes angels named after different wine brands.

For example: “WINE” domain —-> subclass red wine (pun names of red wine variety)/white wine (names of white wine variety) and so on

(Angels of the VODKA domain)

(Angels of the "COCKTAIL" domain)

And so on. What I mean is that even if the angels were born at different times and belong to different epochal generations, they will be defined in the same domain. Because their father likes to have fun. For example a 1st generation angel named “Chardonnay” from the Pink Wine variety, and a 4th generation angel named “Cortese” from the Pink Wine variety go into the same domain “WINE” of the" Pink Wine" subclass.

Or an even funnier thought!

I think if there were only 12 angels here. (Sorry, it's just that these dudes are already named like basic alcoholic beverages.)

The name Vados? - It's vodka. And the gods of destruction under its tutelage are called by names derived from the brand of vodka. (Arak, Maotai, Schnapps, Enzian)

(If, for example, Mojito doesn't have separate types and names for such a cocktail, its gods could be called by the names of the altered ingredients).

But And as it seems to me, then All-King Zeno will change the gods' name game so all they don't get even more confusing.

I absolutely love this idea - it reminds me a bit of Percy Jackson, where they have all of the Demigod children separated by who's the child of what god. (Like there were many demigoddesses in Aphrodite's cabin, for example)
