Cutting back on sugar improves leptin sensitivity
We have already told you what leptin is.
Insulin levels rise in response to sugar intake, and persistent hyperinsulinemia leads to an increase in plasma leptin concentrations.
Just three days of overeating carbohydrates increases "satiety hormone" levels by 28%. Moreover, table sugar, especially fructose, which is part of it, can worsen the sensitivity to leptin and provoke weight gain.
Therefore it is necessary to refuse sweets as much as possible. If it is possible, exclude them altogether.

WHY do knees crunch?
Tumblr media
Cartilage tissue lies between the two bones, reducing the friction created by walking between the bone tissue, but gradually the cartilage tissue loses its protective properties and the friction cannot be avoided.
Crunching can occur when carrying heavy loads, where cartilage tissue deforms from the increased load. Great stress on the knee comes from awkward shoes with a high heel, so at times you have to make a choice between healthy shoes with a small heel, or a spectacular one with a big rise.

Artificial sweeteners increase the need for sugar
Tumblr media
Studies show that trying to replace sugar with artificial sweeteners often increases the consumption of sweet and calorie-dense foods.
This is because aspartame and other surrogates do not give the body as much energy as sugar. The right amount of calories are not coming in, and the desire to eat something sweet does not disappear.
If you want to give up sugar, it is better not to switch to its substitutes, but simply try to reduce its amount in your diet. It turns out it's not that hard.

How Do Antidepressants Work?
The main aim of treatment with antidepressants is to relieve the symptoms of severe depression, such as feeling very down and exhausted, and prevent them from coming back. They are meant to make you feel emotionally stable again and help you to follow a normal daily routine. They are also taken to relieve symptoms such as restlessness, anxiety and sleep problems, and to prevent suicidal thoughts.
The nerve cells in our brain use various chemicals to pass on signals. Even though not all details are known, experts believe that depression is caused by an imbalance of certain chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) like serotonin, which means that signals can't be passed along the nerves properly. Antidepressants aim to increase the availability of these chemicals. The various drugs do that in different ways.

What Happens When You Drink Too Much Water?
Tumblr media
When you drink too much water, you may experience water poisoning, intoxication, or a disruption of brain function. This happens when there's too much water in the cells (including brain cells), causing them to swell. When the cells in the brain swell they cause pressure in the brain. You may start experiencing things like confusion, drowsiness, and headaches. If this pressure increases it could cause conditions like hypertension (High Blood Pressure) and bradycardia (Low Heart Rate).
Sodium is the electrolyte most affected by overhydration, leading to a condition called hyponatremia. Sodium is a crucial element that helps keep the balance of fluids in and out of cells. When its levels drop due to a high amount of water in the body, fluids get inside the cells. Then the cells swell, putting you at risk of having seizures, going into a coma, or even dying.

WHY does beer make the belly grow?
Tumblr media
The consequences of drinking beer are negative for men. When drinking this heady drink frequently, the content of estrogen (the female hormone) in the male body increases.
It contributes to the accumulation of excess blubber, which results in the formation of the so-called "beer belly".
It also leads to a serious hormonal failure, which spoils the figure and worsens men's health.
