Rest a Little Longer- Leona x reader

"Leona~" You nuzzled against his neck.

You had slept over in his room yesterday after helping him finish his assignments forcefully. You had promised him that you'd sleep over if he finished the work. He grumbled under his breath but nonetheless finished it in record time and now here you both are, within the warm loving embrace of each other.

"Wake up, Leona." He murmured under his breath. You thought you had successfully woken the sleepy lion up but then he pulled you closer to his chest, draping his arm over your head.

"Shut up for a sec..." His raspy voice sleepily replied. "Let me hold you longer."

You re-positioned yourself so you could breath better. You decided to comply to his wishes for today. With your free hand, you traced his jawline and slowly you gently run your fingernails under his chin. Leona gave a deep purr. You chuckled. In some ways, the big guy was akin to a huge house cat. You felt his tail swishing at your legs.

"Mmm." His heavy lidded eyes flickered, showing you his brilliant green eyes which strikes out due to his skin colour and the light of the morning sun. Despite his hair being usually messy, his bed head is even more disheveled but it makes him look less intimidating and more unguarded.

Your hands reached out to scratch that sweet spot behind his ears. A louder purr was produced by the human embodiment of a feline as he enjoyed your touch.

Once he was more awake, he licked your forehead and planted a kiss on the area. You giggled. "Now, why did you do that Leona?" You questioned his odd yet affectionate behaviour.

"Don't know, don't care." he nonchalantly replied as he nuzzled against your hair.

"Oh, by the way, Leona..."

"Hmm?" He gazed lazily at you as he ran his fingers through your hair.

"Happy birthday." You pecked him on the lips.

"I know." after a few minutes of silence he realized something.

"Oh, so that's why you had me up all night."He deduced.

"Yeah, I didn't want you to have any work on your birthday." You sheepishly replied.

"So, where's my present?" He looked into your eyes.

"Eh?" You were caught off guard by his question. You didn't expect him to ask for it that fast.

"I'm messing with you." He licked your lips." How could I miss the present when it's right in front of me?" He kissed you passionately. You were about to pull yourself away but he held you firmly. Once the kiss ended, your forehead met his.

"Happy birthday once again, Leona."

"Yeah. Thank you." He lovingly replied.

"Come on. They already had planned a party. So you better get ready." You jumped out from the warm covers. You were going to go to freshen yourself up first. However, Leona also got up and freshened himself together with you. After making sure you both were ready, hand-in-hand both of you walked towards the hall where the Leona's birthday party was held.
