F4 x F1 Meet the crew! Info dump of this idea below the cut :)

I'm not a writer, and this is more or less just my notes and brainstorming. Hope you enjoy regardless!

In this world, the Fantastic Four are a superhero family and run an F1 team on the side. (Honestly could take place in main 616)

Even before getting his powers, he was a talented and popular racer. After he gets his powers under control, he decides he wants to continue his career. Johnny's heat immunity made him a great driver, but it also caused him to be much more reckless, and he often pushed the cars too hard. Teams started to see him more as a liability, even if he was undeniably talented.

Sue is still not the biggest fan of Johnny taking on racing as a career (that's her precious little brother) since he's just heat-proof, not superhuman/damage-resistant. She ends up speaking with Reed about the possibility of them starting their own F1 team with their company. Reed is ecstatic since he's interested in the research and engineering side of constructing F1 cars.

Thus, the Fantastic F1 team was founded.

Sue takes over the position of the team principal with all her years of experience managing Johnny's PR crises. She also occasionally chimes in over comms during races when she can see Johnny's losing his temper or is in over his head emotionally.

Reed becomes the race engineer since he enjoys the analysis, strategy, and research going into creating the best-performing car. It's another puzzle for him to solve, and he is definitely comforted that he can protect Johnny while he's being reckless on the track.

Johnny is initially reluctant for them to create their own team, feeling like it's a bit of a cheat. He wanted to prove that he's more than his connection to his family (Reed + Sue). There are some arguments early on. It takes a lot of communication, but Johnny eventually sees that they're doing this because they want him to race, just safely, and that they're doing this to support him in the best way they can.

Ben attends the races with Val and Franklin :)

Peter's there as a photojournalist (I haven't decided if it's a freelance gig or if it's for the bugle. He's there for my spideytorch-loving heart)

It's times like these when I wish I were a better writer because I want to read a fic of this so badly.
