If success is using your brains to get the job done without putting in any work yourself, then it makes perfect sense to use chatgpt.

The problem is that, the moment you don't delegate trivially simple tasks, you can't judge whether the ai did a good job. You're setting yourself up to be a mediocre manager, who is great at letting others do the work, and terrible at not getting fucked over because they don't notice.

Which may work as long as their bosses and customers aren't any better.

If success is knowing how stuff works, ai has no part in it.

If success is knowing how to handle as many tools as possible, do a small part in ai (just enough to know how it works), and do everything else differently.

Some actual jobs are about taking the car to the car wash. Some are about just washing the damn car yourself. And some are about building the car wash. And education is about teaching you how to tell one from the other, and how to get started doing whichever of those tasks is asked of you.

Why are you using chatgpt to get through college. Why are you spending so much time and money on something just to be functionally illiterate and have zero new skills at the end of it all. Literally shooting yourself in the foot. If you want to waste thirty grand you can always just buy a sportscar.

it seems like the key theme of fungus is that they eat everything including things otherwise impossible to eat, they get everywhere with their tiny spores, and they grow and be happy wherever it is wet by eating the surroundings.
