Kemetic Flower of Life Illustration
Tumblr media
When I initially created this image it was a tribute to Egyptian/Kemetic spirituality as well as a symbol of my personal interaction with a renewed and constantly expanding comprehension of African history specifically the pre-dynastic and ancient era.
Re-visiting this portrait inspired by a sculpture of Ramses II it has become something else with much more gravity and weight behind it. And I like to keep things light so trust me this was not my initial intention.
Today this image represents the healing and transmutation of all suffering amongst our different ancestors in order for them to experience harmony, balance and wholeness throughout the multi-verse.
It is my inner-standing that the vibration of our ancestors affects our existence in the present and that to heal ourselves means to heal them as well. The intention is that the cosmic energy of the flower of life in the background of this melanated king create healing for not only the buyer/wearer of this design but their genetic, ancestral lineage too.
This idea of healing through imagery is meant to affect anyone who wears the design, resonates with its philosophy and accepts the energy.
If you’re interested in ordering this Kemetic Flower of Life print  visit Purple And Kush where you’ll find it on posters and apparel.
I’ve coordinated a playlist of healing videos based on my personal recommendation that is built on universal love and healing.
There’s the CLEARNOW333 channel co-ordinated by a very powerful energy/light worker and he refers to his videos as healing multimedia technology. Watch his “FAMILY” video to heal family lineage and your ancestry.
Another channel I’ve been watching to heal different energetic imbalances is Steve Nobel’s channel as it is dedicated to your ascension via his transmissions. Play his “Diamond White Fire Transmission. Clearing Fear from Your Ancestral Lines.” I feel this video personally helped me to transmute conflict and pain from historically violent events, into peace and forgiveness that helped everyone involved heal.
I encourage you to follow those channels as they provide valuable tokens for our collective evolution into our higher selves. I appreciate you for checking out this post. Feel free to leave comments below or reach me on my instagram @SoulGlowedup . Cheers to our collective boundlessness friends.
Eternal love and light,
Janin

HOW TO START A REGULAR MEDITATION ROUTINE
Tumblr media
“A scattered mind does not have much power. When channelized, no matter what the object of observation is, the mind is very powerful.”
His Holiness, Dalai Lama
Greetings!
Let’s discuss some tips for starting a regular meditation routine.
To get anything mastered or accomplished you simply have to get started any way possible. The smallest measure of action is a force that adds momentum. This will always be my advice for getting anything going but let’s get specific about meditation.
We are each on our own evolutionary path that could always use some subtle fine-tuning. Meditating is a mental art form and exercise that sharpens our highest thinking faculties so we can optimize this ongoing process. Here are some steps we can take to implement this ancient practice and create some sense of routine in our modern lives.
1. Take the time. Pick the increment of time you will meditate for, choose the time of day you can do it and then make the time to. Basic Nike advice to ‘Just Do It’ and we’ll get more specific on how you’ll go about doing that. For now the first thing to do is to make a promise to yourself that you’ll do this activity for an allotted time during a part of your day, for as long as it serves your highest good.
2. Start and start small. I suggest starting very small. For example, begin with 1 minute to no more than two minute time periods if you have no experience or very little time. Opt for five to ten if you have more experience but still a busy lifestyle. Increase the amount of time after several days or even weeks so the habit can create a sturdier foundation. If you have no time whatsoever, sacrifice some sleeping time by waking up a few minutes earlier than usual with the help of an alarm or set time right before going to bed.
3. Keep the bennies in mind. Yes, bennies as in benefits. When you know what something is good for and you remind yourself of these benefits it’s that much easier to engage in the activity. Some of those benefits are:
○ Improved cardiovascular function including heart rate decrease and lowered blood pressure
○ Enhanced cognitive abilities like handling of stress and creating more mental clarity
○ Experiencing of positive emotions, peacefulness and harmony and lessening of anxiety and mood swings
If you’re interested in the empirical evidence found on meditation here’s an educational playlist on the subject.
A fellow spiritual gangster I’ve met through Instagram had this to say on how meditation has helped her personally. @mss_universe says:
“ There are moments where I am working on a client in my treatment room and I am able to easily focus on my breathing and ask my spirit guides for help and guidance on a specific situation. Interestingly enough the answers to my questions come easily. I have seen an improvement also on how I treat those around me. I can let go of negative feelings easier. I no longer let emotions and situations take over me."
You’re probably convinced that you can start meditating now that you can motivate yourself properly, but there’s more to keep you on track.
4. Know all of your options. There are so many ways you could be meditating right now, and a lot of them require no props, just your awareness is needed. You don’t need privacy in fancy chambers or isolation on a mountaintop - you just need the time and then there are several ways for you to experience the steadying sensation of meditation.. Two minutes of any of the following will go a long way to begin your consistent meditation schedule:
○ Awareness of the breath - focusing on the flow of your breath and consciously moving it in and out
○ Mindful awareness - also known as present moment awareness, is practicing awareness of things as they are around you and in your mind
○ Focused object awareness - pick an object and use it as a point of focus
○ Mantras - a selection of words are repeated as a point of focus for the attention to come back to, usually of the inspiring sorts
○ Walking meditation - one focuses on their posture and sensation of their feet against the ground as well as we would practice non-judgment and/or compassion unto our surroundings
○ Hatha yoga - more focus on posture combined with attention to breathing
○ Compassion - access the emotion of love and apply it to the entirety of life
○ Open awareness reflecting - accept whatever comes to mind whether observation or subjective thinking
○ Astral projection - imagine traveling through the planes and dimensions of existence moving higher in consciousness
○ Out of Body Experience - explore reality by stepping outside of your body and visiting different locations
○ Guided visualization - allow another meditator to take you on an inner visualization journey
○ Conscious eating - practicing mindfulness about the food you are eating
This post is meant to get you started so here’s a playlist of trusted and recommended videos to get you going if you don’t know where to look for the aforementioned. Before you try them there’s a couple more things that should help you get going and keep going.
5. Be gentle with yourself as you explore. As you venture your trials of meditation - setting aside the time, gradually increasing the length of sessions, remembering the benefits so you participate and using a variety so it blends with your lifestyle - it helps to be kind to yourself. Just as adults coo sweet, soft words to a baby to encourage them to crawl and then to walk, is the same way you should gently urge yourself as you increase your concentration abilities. Insist on using a positive internal dialogue to stimulate and encourage yourself.
6. Take notes. For additional support for your journey I recommend beginning a meditation journal once you get started, that records the times, type of meditation and any revelations that occurred during practice as well as thoughts before and after about your session.
There’s no wrong way to get started doing that which benefits your mind, body and spirit - you just have to start. These tips are meant to get you going by building a sturdy foundation that’s built on small but consistent implementation. With an abundance of options you should be able to insert a few minutes of practice some where along your day. As benefits begin to show themselves, most likely you’ll want to increase the length of time so you can develop and extend any benefits.
Please post any questions here or on my Instagram @SoulGlowedUp and I have not used them so I cannot provide reviews but several meditators have raved about mobile applications. I encourage you to try them and share in the comments if you find a favorite. Add your favorite meditation resource if you have one to share. Authors, videos or exercises are welcome.
Thanks for reading and blessings to you and your total journey.
Eternal Love, Janin
