Diane knows the world is cold and will do anything to protect her kid from it. Even at her own expense or his for that matter.

Part of my headcannon is that Diane treating Chip with kid gloves and coddling him is partly why he never really learned to work for anything, and when he does face resistance or things don't go his way he cant deal.

I like this design for kid Chip, it parallels Cricket a bit with the hairstyle hehe.

Some misc Mrs. Whistler doodles ft Chip, Mr whistler and that unnamed chairwoman from Chipwrecked. When I first started drawing BCG I tried to stay somewhat close to the art style of the show but I’m slowly coming to a mix of the show style and my own that I’m happy with.

Her name is Diane (I’ve thought about her keeping her own last name but I haven't decided yet)

Mrs whistler headcannons:

she came from a family where children where best seen not heard, and she herself got lost among her older more important siblings. So when she had Chip she decided she'd give him the attention she wished she had as a kid.

Her and Chip’s dad met after he asked if she wanted to invest in his supermarket business and she eventually decided she'd help him co found it. Over the course of developing their business they got to know each other and fell in love.

She is the definition of gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss. In her prime she was the CEO of several successful businesses. Usually by coming in and buying up smaller ones.

While I wouldn't say she pulled herself up from her bootstraps she did work to get to the point she was.

after she married Chips dad she focused all her energy on building up wholesome foods. It felt good to actually be invested in and believe in her business for once, and building it from the ground up.

Brought Chip to work a lot and let him run around and do whatever he wanted and made the day 10 times more stressful for the employees. They just had to suck it up unless they wanted to loose their jobs.

Died of an illness that was exacerbated by her trying to ignore it at first and overworking herself.

Bonus chairwoman head cannons:

I’m shooting her with the disaster lesbian beam.

She and Diane very good friends and she stuck around wholesome foods and cleaned up after Chip because she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if the passion project her friend helped build crumbled.

For a while i just assumed Chip's mom was like his dad: normal. Until a friend brought up the idea of her being just like Chip. Which made me think, which made me start doodling and now we're here.

The general inspo for her was Karen mixed with mob boss wife. I also based some of her colors on the outfit Chip mainly wears in Chipocalypse Now. Also she has sun glasses like Chip's debut design.

Headcannons ahead:

I actually really love the idea of her being the reason Chip is like that, and being the most annoying ''my perfect baby would never do anything wrong'' nightmare parent. Meeting and marrying Chips dad is what kept her from going full CEO corporate super villain that schemes to tear down the rec center to make a parking lot.

I think she's a lot like Chip and is where he learned a lot of his worse traits. Except for that I think she was leagues more confident than he is but also smarter/less impulsive.

I'm really weak for the trope of: horrible person with one or a few people they're soft with lol. I think she wouldn't be able to ever see her child in a bad light and would constantly make excuses for him and his behavior even if it dragged her reputation down.

Got around to watching big city greens and I'm enjoying Chip's character arc of going from annoying little twink to Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.

Quick look at my art from 2024. I posted almost exclusively on my fandom side blog this year lol, thats how it is with hyperfixation sometimes. Thats also where I’m the most active as well.

I didn't notice a big change in my art but I have definitely felt my improvement in the smaller details. I played a bit with textures and brushes as well as making more interesting backgrounds. Ive also made some small animations and animatics! Of which I have been having a lot of fun with.

Its been a bit of a tough year when it comes to my personal life so I’m really happy I have been able to relax and draw my oc and to be able to be apart of the Lackadaisy community. Its been a respite through it all and I’m so thankful to bee able to get to know a lot of wonderful people though it.

I hope 2025 is easier on me but at least I’ll have my art and friends to help me though it.

New Lackadaisy focused blog

Just wanted to anounce i made a new blog its @acesandocs, i will be posting my Lackadaisy art and ocs here from now on as well as reblogs. Im gonna try things out and see where it goes.
