You know those moments when someone picks up their paramour, clears the miscellaneous items from a desk in a dramatic swipe of the arm, and tosses them down to have an impromptu moment? Can’t imagine that going over well with all of those desks covered in notes and doodads XD

Grooming was quite the serious affair when it came to Mr. Mistoffelees and the Rum Tum Tugger. Both toms were exceptionally vain and quite particular about their appearances. And each had their own challenges.

Always the sensitive cat, Misto required his grooming to follow certain standards to spare his nerves undue strain. Consistent pressure, a rhythm that was not too fast nor too slow, not going over the same area more than three times in a row, and never going against the grain. He found it too much of a hassle to entrust others with such a delicate operation, preferring to groom himself in his own neat and tidy strokes.

As for Tugger, the truly staggering amount of fur he had at his disposal turned a grooming session into an all out siege. The maine coon dwarfed the normal housecats of the Tribe, almost comically so where his mate was concerned. Not to mention the length and different textures at play, a long silky top coat and a cottony under coat. The long strands of his prized mane were a particular challenge, Tugger spending hours trying to get it looking just right.

But despite these challenges, or perhaps because of them, the two had found common ground. At night, as they curled up together in the hollowed out record player they called a bed, Misto would fastidiously work at Tugger’s treasured mane, focusing on the soft undercoat that was prone to mats, and the spots beneath his chin and on the back of his neck that the tom couldn’t reach himself. Meanwhile, Tugger would comb at Misto’s iridescent fur, purring as he caught stray sparks with his tongue. They spent the darkest hours of the night working together in comfortable silence.

So apparently, after seeing Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza, becoming obsessed with the Trickster is not an uncommon occurrence XD

So I saw this poll by @thefakehedgehogaroundhere asking who is hornier, Bomba or the entire cast of CATS.

And Bomba is a gorgeous, sexy, fantastic and wonderful. But she is not hornier than 30-some characters, a group which includes both Demeter and the Rum Tum Tugger.

And I may have gotten inspired 😂

Tugger snorted. “If you say so, Firecracker.” As he lifted the mug to his lips, he flashed Misto his smile over the rim, the perfect mix of charming and mischievous, complete with a rakish wink. As if on queue, Misto blushed, a flurry of pink sparks puffing from hair and clothes.

He realized he had been played and huffed, rolling his eyes. “Terrible bore,” he muttered, unable to hide his smile.

“Obviously. But I’m Your terrible bore, right?”

Misto smiled, reaching out with his free hand to take Tugger’s. “Obviously.”

Big news, I’m opening a store!

Below cut is my abandoned attempt at this piece in 2022! I’ve grown a lot!

This has actually been a concept that I’ve had for years! I didn’t really get into digital art until joining the CATS fandom, and I struggled a lot with digital rendering. I had started this concept based on my shrinky dink designs, but gave up because I was so unhappy with how it was turning out. I luckily kept it, and it’s been really gratifying to see how much I’ve learned in just two years alone. I look forward to learning and growing even more!
