What I imagine for spider to look like will be down at the end of this page.
content; fluff, spider being a tad slow, very tall fem reader
Tumblr media
When Spider saw you for the first time he was stunned. The both of you were about 14 when you arrived at Pandora with your mother. He had a multitude of feelings about this encounter, one being, WHOA a human kid my age, FINALLY, and WOW, she’s also a chick! A really pretty one at that! And don’t forget, HOLY MOLY SHES SO TALL WHEN SHE'S NEXT TO ME. Him being 5’5 at the time, you 5’6.
Norm being the science geek, he had to tell the young teen that girls tend to grow faster than boys during puberty, most likely you’ll hit your peak by 15!
And well… for a short time, that was true, when 15 came around for Spider, he could confidently say he was a strong 5’8 while you were paused at the steady height at 5’6… but then 16 came. Spider spouting up to 6ft from his weird pandora-human genes, while you came up behind him at 5’10, and then seventeen came around and he stayed the same height while you grew to a strong 6ft as well. Then, at the immature age of 18, he could proudly say he was 6’1 and 3-quarters tall!
While you… grew another inch… and another one… and- why the hell are you 6’3! It’s not fair!
At first, he pushed the crush he had for you to the side to focus on this one-sided competition. Doing spine stretches, forcing Lo'ak and Neteyam to pull him separate ways, thinking it could somehow align his back, but that didn’t work. Soon, he started to not care, aka essentially forgetting about it because he couldn’t care how tall you were when you started laughing like that or smiling the way you do causing his toned stomach to flutter in butterflies.
And don’t forget the way you swing your braids over your shoulder once your mom gets done doing them, yeah, he could care less how small he was next to you.
If anything he started loving the size difference, it was different! Other than Norm, the wondering avatars, and the Navi you were the only human on the base that was taller than him! In a way, it kinda made him… flustered? Yeah, that’s the word.
Flustered.
Especially when you push your glasses up with your middle finger once they slide down your nose from looking down at him. Or when the two of you are gossiping, you come into his space so that he can hear you while no one else does. This caused his ears and face to flush red, making him have to look down at his sandals (that he’s forced to wear when inside). Being flustered is one thing, caught blushing by you is a total embarrassment that he’d never live down.
But of course, you’ve seen it.
I mean why hide it? The both of you being 18 now, you thought it was kinda elementary trying to hide a crush. And you were pretty straightforward about this! Constantly flirting, constantly getting close to him so he’d take the hint that the both of you were on the same wavelength. But, you being born and raised on earth, him being born and raised on a planet with no other human his age, he hated to say it but he was dense on the flirting side.
I mean come on spider, take the hint.
But of course, you knew he wouldn’t.
So, on one of your chore free days, you shoved a mask in his hand and quickly dragged him outside base. Without any questions, he willingly followed. The humid air hit your skin, which didn’t help with your nervousness, the tacky feeling causing you to be a bit overstimulated.
But you needed it to just be the two of you. If you were to bring him into the female bunkers, there’d be talk, and you didn’t want that. Skillfully jumping and avoiding the rocks of the Hallelujah Mountains, him being a bit better than you for obvious reasons, you get to an open part of the cave, where you have a pretty view of the floating mountains, the dark green forest below with the strong river going through it until it met with the salty sea.
Looking at the view, you take in a deep breath to calm your nerves, the boy with the faded blue stripes and buzzed blonde hair placed a supporting hand on your arm, worried you just might pass out.
“Spider.” You breathed out, taking your eyes away from the view until they met his hazel ones. “Yes?” He didn’t hesitate to answer back, his own eyes drawing away from yours as you slid your hand down his, gently holding it, to which he squeezes, saying that he’s here.
His touch was reassuring, butterflies filling your stomach as he looks back up at you.
And so with a nervous lick of the lips, you spoke;
“I-I like you.”
The confession was slow, knowing if you rambled, he wouldn’t have caught it.
Spider, eyes widen, and with a shy smile and a red face, he says "I like you too. Is that all you had to say? You had me nervous!"
Now it was your turn to be confused. You looked at him dumbfounded with a tilt of your head. "What do you mean?" you asked. you couldn't tell if this was him rejecting you or him being generally clueless about the situation. "what do you mean what do I mean? I like you too! we’re best friends." he internally cringed at himself for this. he wanted to be more than best friends.
then you finally understood what he meant. You rolled your eyes, that bubbling that you had in your stomach now gone. it was true, he was just genuinely lost. Eywa, please touch him. Pulling him closer. Masks almost touching, hoping to cross this boundary would make him realize your feelings for him. "no dummy, I mean I like you-like you, like…more than a friend." this is when his jaw drops slightly, his hazel eyes widen even more with a strange glisten.
"wait' he pauses eyes searching yours, hoping this wasn't a sick joke, hoping you were serious. "Does this mean you" you cut him off, "yes, spider... I want you to be mine."
Then he quickly became yours

I don’t wish you well. 5
Tumblr media
Short story.
Inspiration from Brent fiayaz; darling I don't wish you well
Italics=English
Yandere Reader × Neytiri X Jake Sully
Summery: he didn’t know why you didn’t like him, but maybe if you started liking him, you’d forget?
⚠️warning⚠️
None.
Tumblr media
That’s not a future you wanted to live. You wanted to live your own way, not to be forced into something you didn’t want. Is this how Neytiri felt when she was promised to Tsu’tey? Being forced to be the future tsahik when all she wanted to do was be a worrier, a hunter who provides for her clan.
Now that was you, minus the whole forced to be tsahik thing. You’d truly go insane if that was the case. If you were to marry the two of them, then you’d do anything in your power to become the Olo'eyktan, because the clan needed a strong worrier, not some lame who found himself lost in a forest.
All your life you wanted something simple. To be the best. To live a quiet life taking care of those you love while also providing and protecting your home. You’ve thought about your future, it was all planned out. To become the strongest worrier in the clan, maybe even get married and bear children, to continue your line of succession. But that was in the far far far future.
Although you liked kids, you only had limited patience for them. You were far too immature for any of your own.
And now, now your future was sealed. No more contemplating about the small things that you want to accomplish. It was done.
All of these things running through your head, you were distracted during the hunt, arrows not making a lethal hit, only injuring your animal brothers and sisters because of your foggy mind.
“Tsmuke,” Tsu’tey calls out after you pull the knife from the yeriks neck, your prayer to Eywa ending once you open your eyes. “Yes, Ma Tsu’tey.” Your voice was low as you wiped your knife clean and slid it back into its sheath. “You’re distracted, disturbed by something. What happened while visiting the tsahik?” He asked, crouching down next to you to help tie the arms and legs of the yerik. You couldn’t hide much from this man, always having a keen eye, studying over the ones he cared for.
“I…” you closed your eyes, releasing a harsh breath from your nose. How are you to tell your brother you're marrying someone whom he already has claimed? “I am to be promised to someone..” You never took your eyes off the animal below you while you spoke, but you could feel Tsu’tey’s amber eyes glaring at the side of your face
“And… you do not want that?” He placed his hand on your shoulder, causing you to drop the fake focus and turn to your brother who stared in concern. How were you to ever tell him…
“This person is already promised to someone… but tsahik says for the sake of the clan we must get married. Not only that but I am to marry two people. I don’t know what to do… what to say to this person who has to give up their future wife.”
Tsu’tey lets out a long hum, coming to understand how you felt. Grabbing the yerik from the rope, he threw the animal over his shoulder and began walking to his pa’li, you following beside him.
“I feel where you are coming from… I am not in love with Neytiri, but she is resilient and beautiful. And she has a kind heart. But she isn’t her, and she will never be her. What I am doing is for the clan, and maybe one day I can grow to love her as my parents grew to love each other… at least I think they love each other.” He snickers, throwing your dinner onto the back of his pa’li.
You almost felt your eye twitch, but you pushed that feeling back knowing he meant nothing by it, and instead rolled your eyes as you watched the male mount his ride. “Your parents love each other the best that they know how.” Ateyo and Artsut were his parents, controlling and strict as they are, you strongly believed they loved both Tsu’tey and his younger brother, Arvok.
Did they suck at showing it?… perhaps. But they loved them.
You attached your queue to your ride before mounting it. “And… if it was you in this position. If someone were to take Neytiri away from you?… for the clan of course.” Placing a supporting hand on the yerik you had in front of you, both of you and the joining hunters turn to return to the tree.
You watched as Tsu’tey’s face contorted into one of confusion. He looks off in the distance for a while, trying to find an acceptable answer that he meant genuinely. Soon his face fell into a softer one, next his shoulders shrugged. “Well, tsmuke… if that were to happen, I wouldn’t have much of a choice but to accept it. As a normal reaction, I would be upset, having to lose my future wife once again,” Oh Eywa, why’d he have to phrase it like that? “But for our clan, I would do anything to keep it safe, to keep tradition going.”
This caused you to release a breath of reinsurance, eyes returning to the path. “Why do you ask?” You hoped he wouldn’t say that. But as of recently, luck wasn’t on your side. “To prepare, tsmukan…”
You could feel his stare on the side of your face, intuition telling him that you were hiding something. He was slightly concerned, but more offended by this. You tell him everything, the fact you didn’t tell him this made him want to force his way into your business. But with a grunt, he drags his amber eyes back to the front.
“Jake Sully.” Your ears perk up at this, but you try to pretend you have no interest, keeping your eye low as if you were not bothered. The truth is that the name made your back itch.
“Who?” You asked, invisible brows going downward, convincing him you truly didn’t know who that was. Tsu’tey grins at this, a hefty laugh leaving his throat.
“The one Neytiri is training, the one we aren’t fond of.” You rolled your eyes at the reminder. “What about the freak?”
“He seems to have this… interest in neytiri. Not only her but you as well. I see it, and I know you do as well.” Tuh, don’t remind me brother- wait what. With a clenched jaw, you were quick to turn your head, invisible brows crashing together. “What are you implying?” Your ears press against your head, an unwanted nervousness bubbling in your stomach.
Tsu’tey never looks at you as a grin grows on his face. “About Neytiri or about-“ “about me.” “Don’t act like you’ve not seen it sister!” He exclaimed with a booming laugh. You were entirely confused. Mostly because anytime you were near Neytiri you wouldn’t even glance at that man unless he did or said something stupid.
“Explain to me what you mean..” you mumbled, eyes slightly squinting as you looked forward, trying to think of a time that loser idiot thing of a Navi gave you even a look until the other day.
“He takes small glances at you. But when you are far he is confident in studying your mannerisms. His eyes do not say lust in them,” thank Eywa . “but instead he looks at you with curiosity, he’s… cautious with his looks, knowing you’d call him out. He’s almost studying. As if you’re a threat of a sort.”
You smirk at this. He’s watching me because of Neytiri. “I am a threat. I do not trust him. All he needs to do is give me a reason and I’ll serve his false body to my Ti’San. My ikran shall suck the meat off his bones if he chooses to push his luck.”
You, Tsu’tey, and the other hunters make your way into the opening of the tree and travel to the butcher's den to skin and distribute the meat.
But once again, you seem to catch someone’s eye.
What does she know? Jake Sully thinks as he sits near the stairs, bone knife coming to a stop from carving into his training bow. He watches as you grin and laugh, teeth almost perfect except for the slightly chipped one on the bottom row. Huh, he huffs. He had never actually seen you laughing before, it was kind…magical in a sense.
How can someone so scary and intense laugh and have beautiful emotions? You were a robot, no emotions! So how come you’re laughing, cheesing even at Tsu’tey at that? He’d understand Ka’ani or Enid making you laugh, they were some funny blue fellas-but Tsu’tey?? Be serious.
He scoffs as he watches the same male help you take the yerik off your pa’lis back, making you slap his shoulder. Yeah, she could’ve done it herself. Shaking his head he suck’s his teeth. He needed to make amends with you. He doesn’t know exactly what he did to make you act the way you did, especially when he sees you laugh and smile like that at the person who didn’t like him.
Whatever it was he needed it to stop, to be forgotten. Because he couldn’t let you know about the plans he had with the RDA. Especially because he didn’t even know what he was doing… he was supposed to get information on how to move the ometicaya out. Here he is, decorating his bow as the girl his heart beats fast to is upstairs preparing for a hunting festival.
He should be focused on getting home. Getting his real legs back.
But go home to what?
Pestering parents, a dying earth, no wife no kids. Not even a car in his name. The only thing that’s waiting for him back on earth is bills, rent, and paying Uncle Sam's taxes.
Here you don’t get that. Yeah, you may almost die trying to pick some fruits and hunt some food, but in all honesty, it’s worth it. You can breathe here. He can walk here. He couldn’t do that back on earth.
So why is he doing this? He should just tell them the truth, he should’ve done it the second he walked in through the tree.
“What’s got you thinking?” He flinched at the sudden voice, only to relax back into the wood stairs when he saw Neytiri. “Oh, is the setting up almost done?” He asks, putting his knife up and placing his bow down.
Neytiri raises her invisible brow, noticing how he dodged the question. But her parents raised a stubborn woman. She sits down beside him and looks where he was staring, the closed curtain of the butcher’s tent. “What is wrong Jake?” She asks again, eyes already back on his.
He hesitates to answer, smaller eyes glancing back at the hut before releasing a breath from his nose. “Your friend… Y/N? Was it?” That was the first time he’d ever said your name, Neytiris eyes even widening at the mention of you. “Yes, what happened? Did she get hurt on her hunt?”
She asked, accent rushed as she was about to stand at the thought, but Jake gently pulled her back. “What?-no no no. Um… I just wanted to ask, Is there any way you can tell me how to get on her good side? I’ve noticed she doesn’t like me very much heh.” He chuckled awkwardly, not knowing how to word it without sounding like a weirdo.
But Neytiris's eyes only widened in excitement at this. “Yes!” She smiles. “She doesn’t like you very much.” Wow, ouch. “But she can learn to like you. Like how I did! I got to know you. She is my best friend, sa’nok Grace would call us, I have to make my best friend and my friend get along, so I am glad you asked.”
And so that’s when it started. It started with simple things, Neytiri egging the male on by trying to get him to talk to you, to have a simple conversation. She told him what you did and didn’t like. You liked eye contact, you found it endearing when people didn’t look at you with fear or nervousness, made you feel normal and it showed confidence.
You didn’t like loud speakers like most elders, he didn’t have a problem with that having naturally speak lowly himself. You didn’t like rambling, liking the person to get straight to the point even if it hurts. You liked your own space, not getting touched unless you were close to that person, that was an easy request to follow.
It was now the next day, everyone buzzing around, getting ready for the hunting festival while the hunters went to their families for prayer and hugs, then to the tree of voices just in case they didn’t make it back that day.
But Neytiri delayed her day for Jake, helping him into his gear as they spoke about you, glanced at you from a distance.
“She believes people can give off a negative energy through physical touch. She’s very superstitious, like my mother in some ways.” Neytiri says as they watched you help your little sister with her chest piece, your fingers lingering just a little as if you were praying protection on her. You were a completely different person when it came to the people you loved and cared for.
He gets it.
He understood why people felt the way they did around you. Scary on the outside yet you had soft intentions. Maybe not to him but… he’ll get there.
“When she lays her hands on you it feels…” she hesitated, trying to find a word in her limited vocabulary.
“Intentful.”
Jake finished the women’s words as he watched you give the rest of your siblings a hug for good luck on the hunting party.
“In-tent-ful?…” she repeated back in a question, big eyes turning to look up at Jake. “Mhm.. it means to mean something, to put your all into something purposeful.” His heart couldn’t help but flutter at those amber eyes that stared into his. Neytiri smiles with a small nod. “Yes, that describes her touches. You have to speak to her before we ride. To wish her well, maybe even get to know her.” He feels his breathing stutter, sudden nervousness shooting up his body.
“I don’t think-“ “Go now!” He gets shoved off, feet almost tripping against the moss-covered ground. Clearing his throat awkwardly he looks back at Neytiri who greets him with a wide smile and a thumbs up as she retreats upstairs to get Seze ready.
When he turns back around he gets greeted with the soft muscles of your back as you spoke to a fellow hunter. Okay, okay don’t be pussy, I got this, I got this. He makes his way up to you. The female warrior across from you was the first to see the alien walk up to you, causing her to stop her conversation and nod behind you.
Thinking it was someone you knew you turned around with a small smile, just for it to turn into a look of slight disgust. Okay, ouch, again. For some reason, it hurt more when it came from you rather than Tsu’tey or the other Navi who still didn’t like his presence.
Was it because he’s seen the way you act with others? And he secretly wanted that from you? Or was it because you were a real bitch that hurt his damn feelings.
“What.” It was more of a command than a question. Sucking his teeth he sighs. I got this. Eye contact. Jake gives you a soft closed lip smile, causing you to raise your brow. “I wanted to wish you well on the hunt, not that you need it, I know you’ll do well.” You almost cringed at the ass-kissing.
Instead, you tilted your head and scanned his features, trying to see if there were any underlying lies in his words. He begins to shift awkwardly at this, the silence eating him up as he watches your darkened eyes scan his eyes, down the flat of his nose to his thinner lips, his strong chin, his neck, and back up. What is she looking for?
“I will do good.” You suddenly spoke in Navi, your eyes snapping back up to his, causing him to gulp, heart pounding in his chest, he was sure you could hear it. “Be careful with this hunt Jake,” his brows crash together, shocked to hear those words, fully expecting to hear a threat or a scoff. But when you step closer, and lean in, causing him to stiffen “We may be the hunters today, but even you can still be hunted.” You leaned back, eyes meeting his.
He looked frightened. That was definitely a threat. He didn’t know it but you were joking, kinda. You knew you couldn’t kill him yet, but it was still funny watching him squirm in discomfort. Smirking you raised your hand and placed it by his neck, thumb pressing gently on his collarbone. “You be safe. I will be on the front with Neytiri, so you are on your own. Don’t die.” You meant it this time. You were meant to marry him later on in life, he had to be alive. Unfortunately.
Once again Jake was left in complete shock as you pulled away. A threat and a semi-goodluck. You were entirely too confusing. He watches you pull away and make your way towards the stairs.
Putting his hand on his heart he stutters in a deep breath, heart pounding hard as if he gotten jump scared. He couldn’t tell what this feeling was. It was mixed, fear and something else. Fear and comfort perhaps? Your statement seemed pretty real like you meant that he should be safe.
“Do you know any colors in English?” It was now after the hunt, later that night where people gathered around the fire and listened to the music the Navi played with their drums. A lot of people got hurt, you were lucky enough to get a gash on your arm, Neytiri had more small cuts on her cheeks to go with the rest of the collection, Jake sully with sprained wrists he achieved when his ikran brushed past a tree as he was aiming, Tsu’tey was mostly unharmed with another nick in his ear. The herd today was aggressive, but it was worth it.
Inhaling a deep breath, inhaling the fresh meat of Talioang being cooked with others. Jake Sully has a newfound confidence, he had managed to make a kill of his own, and I guess that gave him confidence to sit down and speak to you. Rolling your eyes you looked off to your right where the male sat with a dumb grin. “So’nak grace has taught us some. Why?” He shrugs his hand coming down to gently rub the leaf spleen that sported some numbing herbs. “I just wanted to know. Do you have a favorite color?” You squinted your eyes at him, not completely understanding what he was trying to achieve. Is this his alien way of small talk?
Chewing the inside of your cheek, trying to hold your tongue from saying something bogus you complied. “Yes, sure… I like browns, purales… uh-the color of the trees” It’s been a while since you’ve had to speak colors. Jake's stupid grin forms into something sweet, something soft as he hears the words you pronounced wrong. “Purple? Purple and green.” He didn’t know he was smiling like that, soft and innocent. He watches you roll your eyes at the correction before you turned to the fire pit. Suddenly the drums got louder and the singing increased. The loud shouting of the Navi goes into a steady half-drunken chant to welcome the dancer who swayed majestically down the stairs.
“There she is…” you mumbled with a soft smile. Jake looks down at this smile you sported, the same one he had on his face just a second ago, before looking in the direction you were looking. There she was. Neytiri swayed and danced rhythmically with a wide smile on her lips. The cloth that hung from her arms blew as she moved with the songs she and the others sang.
She is beautiful. You thought as you gazed. You always looked forward to these celebrations, rarely seeing that smile ever since her sister died the year before.
“Y/N te sezelu Ke’it’ite.” Moat. Taking your eyes from Neytiri you look up at the tsahik who was wearing a beautiful iridescent gown that flowed elegantly around her figure. Her braids for the first time flowed down with beads attached to the ends. A soft breath left your nose as you raised your hand to your head in a greeting. “ Oel ngati kameie tsahik.” “I see you tsahik.” Jake copied your actions. Please don’t do anything embarrassing. It was like she read your mind. With a smirk she raised her hand, motioning you and Jake.
“You used to be such a dancer, my child, what happened?” “A lot of death happened.” She hums with a thick-lipped grin. She didn’t find your words funny, but she did find her teasing funny. “You should get up. Show Sully our ways,” you squinted your eyes at the old lady. If looks could kill moat would be with Eywa.
Moat then looks back at her daughter dancing with a fond smile on her face. “Go dance with her. Take Jake with you.” Even with a soft smile on her face, her voice was firm and serious. Uh uh, no way. “I’m not in formal wear tsahik.” “I’ll give you a pass.” Moat gives Jake a stern look, making him stand in a hurried way. “Yeah- we should dance. That way you could teach me.” He looks down at you with a soft smile. Ugh, that smile… you internally groan and look away, hand coming up to rub the pounding in your chest. You were nervous, you hadn’t danced since you were 16, you were now 18, with scars. Mental and physical.
While you didn’t notice, Moat sported a sneaky grin as she backed away from the two of you and made her way back to her seated husband, and Tsu’tey. Who was watching the whole thing with narrowed eyes.

Hello, good morning/afternoon/night. I like your stories, specially the ones about The Avatar. You wrote that you're not taking requests, only 'thirsts(?)' But since english is not my native language, could you explain it to me, please? And I hope you're doing fine.
Hi :) yes, on my NSFW page (not safe for work) I am only taking thirsts. I hope you’re doing fine as well!
Thirsts are basically little stories/ideas or headcannons (that are usually 18+ related) the community(asks) gives to the author, and the author adds onto the story and ideas.
An example is like: Imagine miles and Jake constantly fighting for your attention. They usually get really aggressive towards each other (bc obviously they don’t like each other.), but in order to get your attention, you force them to get along. (This is just an example, lol it sucks.)
And I would add onto that or if I’m feeling a little flirty I’d write a mini one shot about it

Wait so- if the reader is biologically billy blacks daughter, would that mean that billy cheated on jacobs and his sisters mom? Bc teaaaa
I’m glad you asked this bc I didn’t know if I wanted to include this in the story or write it separately. I’m still thinking about it (if I wanna make a storyline about it).
But to make a long story short, like all couples Sarah and Billy hit a rough patch before reader was born, and so they separated for a while. Billy met readers mom and had a little…finder binder lol (no pun intended rip Sarah), basically having reader in the process. I’m skipping a lot of great details, but let’s just say that relationship didn’t work out and Sarah and Billy got back together, three years later making Jacob (Jacob is currently 16 while reader is 19, a few months older than Bella)

Where does he go?

Today in a long time was beautiful. Forks was showing its true beauty as the sun shined through the trees and glistened against the water. For the first time in a while, it wasn’t humid or cold, but breezy and warm, maybe if you were lucky you’d have time to go to the beach and get a tan today. I don’t know, maybe even find a lover…wait.
You cringe at the thought, your hand coming to a pause from the math problem. Ugh. The thought makes your stomach acid bubble up with disgust. Then your mind flashes to Embry and hid derpy smile, you stomach suddenly reacting with nervousness. The two of you were meant to hang out later, no members of the pack, no phones, just you and him with the warm water from the beach. If only life was that simple.
It’s been two weeks since Bella and Edward went away on their honeymoon and a week since you’ve had that conversation with Embry. A month since you’ve been in Forks. Summer break was over. During that time you realize you truly couldn’t bring yourself to leave Forks again, you wanted to, to leave to feel the Atlantic air once again, but that deep void of emptiness was terrifying.
To be alone in your dorm, fighting internally with your instincts, fighting yourself for the break up that had you feeling empty every time you were alone at night, sob-less tears trickling down your face as you dreamt. You didn’t need that, you needed your family, you even risked having to share a shower with them again if that meant having someone faithful in your presence.
That’s why you transferred to Peninsula College. Local, close to your new support system. Also, close to your ex-boyfriend's family while he frolics in the wind of whatever he’s at. Ugh.
Someone faithful, huh? That voice spoke in your head just in time as your brother comes out of his room with his motorcycle keys in hand. You watched him as he puts on his worn boots in a semi hurry, quiet, yet you could tell he was loud internally. Where does he go? Jacob didn’t go to school anymore, studying for his GED when he had the chance, and he only worked Fridays to Sundays. And his stone expression says he wasn’t visiting any friends.
Ain’t shit faithful about this damn family, they hid shit from you, betrayed you. I gotta let that go. You sighed, sitting up from your slouched position in hopes to focus on the task at hand. Instead, you hear the opening of the fridge and the fidgeting of the sandwich meat package. “So… where have you been going nowadays.” You asked for the first time since his whole leaving out early and coming back late act. Theirs no way he has a girlfriend.
You watch as he rolls his shoulders back while he makes a quick sandwich, releasing the tense feeling he constantly had. “Just hanging around, you know? So how’s you and Embry?” Changing the subject, and he did it so fast. You’ll let it slide, to focused on your own problems, you couldn’t really care what Jacob was doing in his free time. Except you do, just not today.
Me and Embry? You truly couldn't find the way you arms filled with goosebumps at the mention of his name. You don't even have a crush on him. But why did it feel so good hearing his name? “Well…we’re getting better, speaking more. We’re supposed to go out later once he’s off from work, we’ll see.” As you spoke, Jacob finally faces you with a half-eaten sandwich in his hand while the other one fidgets with his keys. Seems like he doesn’t even want to speak, just trying to get me off his back so he can go handle whatever.
Maybe I’m overthinking.
Jacob's eyes narrowed at this, not knowing how he felt about his best friend coming over, alone, just the two of you. But, he just releases a hot breath from his nose as he eats the rest of the sandwich, hand coming down and wiping it against his jeans. He knew there was nothing he could do, except be the annoying little brother he was meant to be.
You were reading into the silence too much, to your brother it was probably comfortable, but in all honesty, you still couldn’t fully feel comfortable with him. All of this lying and secrets, the only person to trusted was yourself.
But you needed to break the silence so he could go about his day. “You’re really ugly, I keep forgetting we found you under a bridge.” He scoffed, annoyed but smiling, happy you were still you, the annoying big sis he needed.
“Yeah, says the mistress baby, I’m out!” It was your turn to scoff, yours loud and sarcastic. “Huh! Jokes on you, I’m not even offended!” You childishly stuck your tongue out at him, which he mirrors as he walks to the door. Just like that, all of that insecurity you were feeling was gone, all that anger washing away as you play fight with your brother.
“Yeah whatever dog brains, bye!” Before you could clap back, the fragile door slams against its hinges, making you gasp. He ate you up. You cringe in disgust as you hear the bike engine roar to life and slowly fade away. You hated losing arguments with him, never again.
|Jakes Pov|
It felt great today. It was a shame that I’d be spending this day with the Cullens, the only people in Forks who couldn’t even enjoy the sun. Why am I socializing with my enemies? Well… its not that I have much of a choice. She was back.
Bella was back
In the worst possible condition, she could be in. But she wasn’t them, not yet. She was still her.
If I could- if I could just convince her to get rid of it- to save herself, then maybe… maybe she’ll have a chance to be… her.
Or maybe I’m just prolonging the inevitable.
She’s dying. She’s dying from his baby, and there is nothing I can do but sit there and watch the one I fell for wilt away.
Pulling in front of the large White House I couldn’t help but to cringe at the smell once again. A week here and I’m still not used to it, my body constantly reacting negatively.
“Jake!..” I smiled as her soft voice says my name. “Hey, Bells.” My voice was softer as well, so afraid if I raise it I could somehow break her. She was so fragile. Her hair was thinner, her skin, pale with blue undertones, no longer fair with red cheeks. Her eyes were sunken in as if she was getting drained slowly by slowly, but they still held that beautiful light in them, if anything the light was brighter than before. Her body was smaller, skinnier, and delicate as that demon feeds from her, and her lips… her lips were stained red. The only source of color she seemed to have.
“I missed you..” she reaches up for my hand, which I gently, and quickly grabbed to warm her up. “You missed me or you missed your natural heating source?” I grinned as she grinned. “Both,” she laughed, slowly moving over which I was quick to help her do. “Hey, I got it.” I leaned her against me, and I swore I heard edwards marble teeth grind against each other from the far corner.
Speaking of the devil. “Jacob..” I pulled her cold body closer, something in me telling me that he’d take her away. Even if he already has.
But to my surprise when I look over to the man that hurt my best friend, he was glaring at the woods, stone body fidgeting with his hands. “What,” I answered, trying my hardest to act like I didn’t care what he was thinking.
Then he turns towards me and Bella, thick brows turned inwards as if he was thinking long and hard.
Oh, this is serious.
“Can I talk to you for a minute?” His voice cracks. It was weird. He was so perfect, he walked perfectly, he talked perfectly, and he dressed perfectly. Yet here he was, slowly breaking down as his world-my world begins to rot and die.
Looking down at Bella, she gives me a small smile before shifting away. The Blondy takes my place, but instead wraps a thicker blanket against her frame. Edward barely spared me a look as we began walking a trail into the woods, by the river so the ones on the inside couldn’t listen in.
“You know… I’d always known you’d destroy her… just not in this way..” I couldn’t help but to bring myself to say it. I’ve been coming here for a week and every time I see her… and see what IT does to her I can’t but hate this freak even more.
Staring longingly at the trees Edward takes a shaky breath, an attempt to get fresh air before slowly turning towards me. “She… she thinks Carlisle can turn her at the last minute,” My back straightens at this.
At this point did I have a choice? It was too late, her body failing her every day, I knew this was coming but I wish I wasn’t going to be there to witness it.
“Like he did for me and Esme.” He finishes.
This time it was me who took in a deep breath, nerves running through me. This could work, it had to. “Well… can he??” I questioned, quickly wanting an answer and not some wordplay.
“It’s… slight.” Bringing my hands up to my face I release an aggressive sigh. I guess I should’ve known that. I mean, look at her.
“Edward… she has to live.”
“And if her heart stops…” he pauses, amber eyes falling into the leaves and dirt as if he’d given up. This isn’t the time to give up. “Go on with it.” My hands drop to my sides, fists clinching, not wanting him to say it, but I wanted him to. Just so he could feel that this was real, that this pain hurts.
“Jacob… do something for me…” I scoffed. How dare he.
“If not for me then for her!” He asserted.
Now I’m listening. Looking back at him I sigh, tilting my head so he’d know to continue.
“You have this… connection to her that I’ll never understand. Maybe you could talk to her, to try… to try to save her,” his lip quivers as if he’s about to cry.
“You could keep her alive.”
Tuh… there was no changing Bella Swan's mind. In the back of my mind… I knew. I knew how this was going to end. But I needed to try.
“And if I can’t?”
“If she dies…” there it was. Edward Masen. His eyes went blank, no light in those stone-cold pupils as he spoke about the maybe death of the love of my life. I almost felt pity for him. But unfortunately, I had months of preparation for this day.
“If she dies,” he repeated as if it was hard to get out. “You get what you always wanted, to kill me.” He shrugs. He shrugs as if it was the simplest thing ever.
“I can’t live without her.”
Walking back into the living room, the first thing I see is a smaller Bella wrapped around a heavy comforter and fuzzy grey socks.
She dismissed blondy-or Rose before I took my seat on the couch in front of her.
“You two besties now?” I try to lift the sour mood from earlier, which she appreciates with a smile. “Rose knows what I want. I guess we have some things in common.” She sighs as if this was the beginning of something great.
“How’s ___?” Ugh… she just had to say it huh? My sister…
I’m betraying her right now, and it hurts.
“Um…”I chew on my lip as I looked down. How can I say this without stressing her out more? “Um, what?… hey… don’t tell me something bad happened... Rose and Alice said they saw her the other day with Leah. Said she looked… different.” She plays with the blanket, a small nervous tic.
“No, no nothing bad… well… ___ is kinda dealing with some wolf hormones right now… and she imprinted on Embry.” Bella smiles her beautiful smile, before settling on a closed-lip one. “Well- I guess I kinda assumed that would happen… she looked different during the wedding. And… tell her I said good luck on the whole imprinting journey… and, and that I’m sorry.” The smile was no longer on her face. She still felt bad about the whole wedding situation.
I didn’t get much information on it, my dad and Sue filled me in once I came back. “I’ll make sure to tell her that… she needs to hear it.”
She does need to hear that… the woman your man cheated on you with, the woman who’s now pregnant with death itself has the balls to apologize… but not me…
I fucking suck.
“So… did Edward send you in here to change my mind?” She grins weakly
“Sort of. Though I’m not sure why, it’s not like you listen to me, you never did.” We both laugh at this. So stubborn.
“What are you thinking bells? Seriously.”
She rests her bony hand on her belly. “I know it seems like a bad thing. Something that… shouldn’t even exist. But it’s not, it’s not scary, it’s beautiful, a baby. He’s a miracle.”
I scoff again, trying my hardest to not say something offensive, or at least try to play it as a joke. “So it’s a bouncing baby boy?- I’m sorry I didn’t know, should’ve brought some blue balloons.”
She grins, shaking her head. “It’s just a guess… I’ve been having dreams about a curly-headed boy. And my dreams are usually real. I guess we’ll see.” I shake my head, elbows now on my knees as I leaned in.
“No… you won’t.”
“Jacob I can do this! I’m strong enough ” She says, hope in her eyes.
I could feel the anger come back to me, the anger I felt when I first saw her bruised belly.
“Tuh- oh come oooon. You can yap that shit to your bloodsucker but you don’t fool me, Bella.” Her brows push together from the cursing.
“I’m not blind Bella, I can SEE what that thing doing to you, that pixie girl said it! She can’t see you anymore, she can’t see you alive!” My voice began to raise, but I couldn’t bring myself to feel bad as I watched her lean backward.
“You’re wrong…” It made me sick at how bright those brown eyes were. She had so much hope that this would work, but my gut, my gut tells me otherwise.
“And when you die… what was it all for? Huh? Me loving you, you loving him, how is that fair? Huh? Tell me Bella how is that right to anyone?” She stayed quiet, the face of mourning on her face. She knew I was leaving slowly.
“Cuz I sure don’t see it.” She begins to tear up, and I feel my heart-shattering. I keep breaking my promise to her. Breathing out I get off the couch and sit on my knees in front of her, gently taking her cold hand that rested on her belly.
“Listen to me, Bella…. Please!” I begged, my eyes getting blurry but I blink away the tears so I can stare right into her eyes. “Just don’t… don’t do this. Live- okay? Screw my emotions, don’t do it for me or Edward. But do it for Charlie! Do it Renée!” She lets out a sob, her lips curling into each other before looking out the window.
“Jake…” that wasn’t fair of me, but life isn’t fair. THIS isn’t fair.
“Everything is going to be okay.”
Even though she heard my words, she refused to listen to them.
Letting out a broken breath, I nodded, eyes going down to glare at the kicking belly before I take my hand away from hers and stand up.
Jake- don’t go!” She sighed, throat too fragile to raise her voice. But I grabbed my jacket before giving her one good look.
“I know how this ends.” I force myself to keep my eyes on hers, but they found their way back to her stomach. “I’m not sticking around to watch.”
And so I walked off.
Walking past Rose, past Edward, and past Carlisle until I reached my motorcycle.
All that anger I was storing from her came back. I couldn’t even bring myself to start up the engine before I threw the leather jacket against the gravel and kicked the machine against the trees.
Then I felt that heat again. That burning heat that I grew to admire.
I felt myself rip out my skin and run into the woods, the burning lasting a fraction of a second before I howled out.
“Jake?” ___ called out
“Jacob, what’s wrong?” No, no no no Seth shut up, I tried whipping my head, trying to force the images of Bella sitting there half dead, of her bruised stomach from a week ago, of Edward asking me to kill him. Of me begging, pleading with her to give her life another chance. And the soft voice of Bella trying to call me back.
Visions in my head and voices in my ears, I didn’t notice the car suddenly swerving to the side to come to a stop. But I didn’t give them a chance to let them look as I hopped back into the woods.
I howled once more, calling for the pack, just hoping that there was a way for them to help
“Jake??”
“Jake!”
“Jacob what going on??”
“Jake this can’t be real”
We all run to the meeting spot, at the peer where the trees lay for construction.
“Is it true Jacob?” Paul asked lips coming over his teeth as he circled me. “It’s growing fast,” he says again, the others coming behind me.
Leah gets there with Seth, her voice louder than the others, “It’s unnatural!” “Dangerous!” Jared's voice yelled after hers. “An abomination!” Paul growls, causing me to bare my teeth in defense, but Quil was quick to choose his side. “We can’t have that thing on our land!”
“We can’t allow it!” They repeated as they circled me.
“She’s pregnant…”
___…
|___ pov|
Everyone turns to face you. And for the first time in a while, you felt like a kicked dog. The flashes of Bella and her bruised protruding belly as she sat there pale. Her voice echoed and meshed with Edwards. Then his lone voice whispered, “If she dies, you get what you’ve always wanted, to kill me.”
Whimpering, your ears press to the back of your head, feet taking a step backward. “Y/n..” Embry walks up to you, feeling your hurt
He got her pregnant. After you thought that pain was away, it was back, and it was fresh. So fresh you felt your heart bleeding.
Then a throaty bark sounded from above us. Sam.
“We have to protect the tribe. We come first, Forks is always first!” You huff out from your snout, your sides instantly warmer as you felt Seth and Embry get closer to you.
“Once that thing is born it won’t be able to control its thirst!”
“We’re ready!” Jared announced
“No time to waste. Let’s go!” This time it was Leah, making you peel back your lip in a growl.
“Let’s think this through!” Your voice echoes in their heads, Leah, the first one to approach you. “Absolutely not! ___, remember what they’ve done to you! You got hurt by those bloodsuckers! They deserve it!” Not like this.. not like this.
They don’t need to hurt like this.
“Right now?!” Jacob steps up to Sam, his ears twitching back
“We have to get rid of it before it’s born.”
Oh god…
“You mean… kill Bella?” Seth steps beside Jacob, which you get in front of him just in case Sam had the thought of putting the younger in his place.
“Seth…”
“Her choice affects all of us!” A growl is released from your throat, a sign which Sam takes as disrespect. His brown eyes flick toward you.
“What do you have to say?”
“Sam don’t do this!”
Embry speaks up, approaching you, only to get shut down with a bark from Sam.
“I won’t be a part of this! Me and my brother won’t do it!” It was time to act like a big sibling, your big body pushing Jacobs over so he wouldn’t get hurt.
“You, are nothing but a lost puppy. You don’t get to say anything!” He barks, but you didn’t flench like the others around you. You were good at taking disrespect you just recently found out. But you still felt it, the need to bow down and obey the alpha, you just couldn’t do it.
“Bella’s human!” Jacob cuts in, trying to get the attention back to himself. “Our protection applies to her!”
“She’s dying anyways!” Leah snaps her teeth, digging them into the fat of jacobs neck. Oh fuck no.
That friendship meant shit to you if she disrespects your brother in front of you. You moved faster, clenching your jaw down into her neck to pull her off of him. “Don’t touch him!” You seethed, wide tongue coming out to lick your teeth. Leah’s ears press against her head as it ducks down in submission
Being older only gets you some places. But being Ephraim Black's great-granddaughter gave you the advantage. You were supposed to be the Alpha. And the others were realizing it.
“Enough!” You gave the girl one last growl before whipping your head back to Sam
“We have real enemies to fight tonight!” He starts coming down the tower of logs, making his way toward you and your brother.
“Tonight?!” You and Jakes voice sync, Seth’s whine catching your brother’s attention. But you didn’t dare take your eyes away from Sams.
“You will fight with us. The both of you.” He commands, causing you both to step back. “Jacob don’t you fucking listen to this old bitch.” You growl, head ducking down, which Sam snips at you, teeth almost coming closed on your snout before you backed up just in time.
You snarl at him, Jake doing the same thing. It was only for a few seconds before you finally made up your mind.
You were leaving.
You had to.
“I won’t! I will not sit here and go kill my best friend and her child! I am the granddaughter of Ephraim Black!
“And I am the grandson of Ephraim Black!
“We aren’t meant to take orders from you Sam Uley. I wasn’t born to follow you or anyone else. But I will follow my brother. Because we know what’s right! And this shit ain’t right!”
“___!” Embry yelled out, knowing what you were going to do.
You ignored him, you had to. ”I’m out!” You bark, teeth on display as you bump into Sam, and went up the logs.
Fuck them. I don’t need them.
“So, you choose your little brother instead huh?”
You send him a glare before focusing your eyes on the White House in front of you, the Cullens house. “Okay… I deserve that. I betrayed you, your trust… I deserve this.”
Boy, fuck you.
“I betrayed my imprint. My friends… but I do this because know what's right and what's wrong... And this shit is wrong.” I shake my head, heart heavy with what felt like grief when I bring up embry.
We never got to hang out together. Will we ever? Now that I broke my bond with that pack, we’ll see each other less, and it’ll hurt like hell.
“Garcelle called today.”
Jacob whips his head toward me with wide eyes, but he couldn’t get anything out as the trees move behind us. A boy with a tilted smile comes out, letting you release a sigh.
“Seth.” You and your brother say at the same time, making you roll your eyes.
“Kid, what are you doing here?” You asked, eyes immediately searching your perimeter for any more movement. “Don’t worry! No one followed.” He smiles brightly
“Go home, Seth.” Your brother rolled his eyes. “No! I can’t, I won’t stand behind him! I like Bella and Edward!”
“Oh yes, you will! I’m not kidding, get outta here.” Jacob talks back, arms coming across his chest. Seth's mouth forms into a pout, a sigh coming from his nose. “Or what? Is that an order? You gonna make me bow down to?” Jake rolled his eyes once again, an attitude deep in his roots. You keep having to remind yourself that he is just a kid himself, barely 17.
“I’m not ordering anyone. It’s not like I can… ___ is the alpha.” Seth gasps and faces me, but I keep my eyes on the White House in front of me. “Don’t put me in this.”
“Can I stay? Please??” You closed your eyes with a groan.
Seth was just a kid, not knowing the sacrifices he was going to make during this.
“Seth- are you willing to fight your friends-your sister if it comes down to it? Huh?” You weren't going to say no to him, but he needs to know what the hell is real and what’s not.
But he was ready, a determined look on his face as he gives you a nod. “If that’s what it takes to do the right thing.” You give Jacob a look, and he shrugs. “Fine… you’re in.”
“Woo! Hell yeah!”
“Language.”
“Yup! Can do.”
“Jake, go give the Cullens a heads up. I’m going to run the perimeter.” This was just an excuse for you to not see Edward. You haven’t seen him since the wedding and honestly, you’ll force yourself to keep it that way.
“Right-wait! Take him.” Your younger brother points to the young boy. Grinning you shake your head. “Whatever. Come one kid.”

Liar

In which Ethan Landry doesn’t know who the hell he’s talking too.
Ethan Landry x reader (doesn’t describe)
Crazy x crazy trope
⚠️ warning ⚠️
Blood, cursing, (small) manipulation, crazy reader, knife, small text
Tumblr media
Your breath shaky, you gasped in the air as Ethan places his hand against your jaw and neck, grip tight, knowing if he’d let you go, you’d run, then he’d have to hurt you. And he didn’t want to hurt you. “What-“ you sobbed “What are you going to do to me?” You couldn’t help to ask.
You found out he was Ghostface after the apartment attack. It… happened so fast, you almost missed it if it wasn’t for one of Ethan’s friends asking why he didn’t come to Ecom that night.
So when you stupidly called him to come to your apartment this morning to confirm where he was, you didn’t expect him to give up so easily, to admit to his doings while he pulls out the pocket knife he always had tucked in his jeans, to push you against your apartment door with the knife against your throat.
“Do something to you?… oh no… no, no, no.” He smiles. Smile so pretty and teeth so perfect you had to look away, god how could you be so stupid, Mindy was right, she’s always right. Falling for the smart shy kid because he’s smart and shy.
You clench your jaw as you felt the sharp pain of the knife pressing against your skin, the smooth metal so sharp your flesh underneath it split like butter. “My love, do you not know how much you mean to me? I could never, ever hurt you.” He leans in, lips close to your ear, you felt his breath as he spoke. “As long as you’re good to me…” you released a gasp as he takes the knife away from your neck. “And you keep that pretty little mouth shut so I can complete my business, 'kay?”
You looked up ahead, eyes clearing up as the tears fell, only to get foggy again when they fill back up. You looked across the room to the window across from you, the tall buildings of New York polluting the blue skies.
“And I’ll keep you safe, I can promise that.”
Empty promises are what Ethan Landry gave you. A promise you’d know he’d break, because he already failed to keep one promise, to protect you. “I promise to protect you.” He said when we were at the park while Mindy was suspecting everyone. He said that with the prettiest softest smile.
Liar.
He’s a liar.
“Just kill me. Please just kill me!” You begged, the view from the window getting blocked as he puts his face in front of yours, pink lips brushing yours, forcing you to shut up and stop breathing, hating the feeling of his breath hitting yours. It was too intimate. Like you were the other day when the both of you shared a long kiss after the party.
“No. No, you know I can’t do that.” You release the breath from your nose, which he just seemed to inhale when he tilts his head, as of leaning for a kiss. Disgust makes its way to your face, the thought of him getting aroused at a moment like this making your stomach clench and churn. Before his lips could touch yours, you turned your head causing his kiss to land on your neck.
Ethan just laughs at your stubbornness, ego not wavering as he just kisses up your jaw. “Kill me…” you whispered out, eyes peering down at his brown curls. His lips stopped against his skin to fake think, but when he gets his answer he continues marking up your skin“Mm…no.”
“Kill.me.” You repeated yourself with a hardness in your voice, your face going from scrunched up crying to relaxed and stiff. The time of weeping and sadness was no more, you couldn’t get away from this craze lunatic with tears, sobs, and hiccups. You started to get pissed off.
And with his uneven temper, he was already there. Slamming his hands on the door behind you, the sudden action made you flench, and you hated that, it made you seem like you were afraid of him, but you were just afraid of death. And he wasn’t death.
“NO!… I said no.” He takes in a deep breath, face pulling away from your neck to get directly in your face, forcing your eyes to meet with his. “Y'know, for someone afraid of dying, you’re begging for it. How about you be grateful you have a loving boyfriend such as myself.”
Motherfucker must’ve forgotten you boxed for 5 years. Thanks, dad.
He was taller, stronger. But you had stamina, skill, and technique. And a fuck load of manipulation, thanks, mom.
“Ethan… my love. If we stay together, I’m going to end up dead regardless, right? It’ll be you, or- or your sister, or the mastermind of it all, your father-“
“Don’t-dont say that. I won’t let anything happen to you-“As he was distracted, trying to stare into your soul, you kicked him in the knee, causing him to fall flat on his ass. “Ouch!-you- you,” you could’ve ran right there, and honestly you should’ve.
Instead, you grabbed the knife that fell from his hand, and as he was about to step back you placed yourself on top of his stomach, his hand coming up to throw you off but you were quick to swing the knife through his arms, making him yell in pain as he held them to his chest.
“Listen to me Ethan… or whatever the hell your name is,” you start, left hand holding his arms down to his chest while
The right one holds the blade of the knife just below his Adams apple. You dared him to say something, to even swallow, his whole shit would be opened to the world.
You adjusted yourself to be above him, your fake tears from earlier that day falling onto his cheeks as you stared down at him.
“When I asked you to kill me, I meant that shit.” His feet struggled behind you, trying to kick you off but you wouldn’t budge. “Be still so I can talk.” You spoke nicely, the corner of your lips twitching up into a smile as he grunts. But, as his ego began to bruise, he still flopped around below you, causing you to grin as you began pushing the knife against his throat, a drip of blood pooling to the base of the metal.
“I SAID BE STILL.”
Oh, now he wanted to listen. His brown eyes blown wide as he slouches below you, lips twitching up in a scowl.
“Good.. good boy. If you didn’t stop I would’ve just made you a cripple. You’re too cute for that.” You chuckled as you felt his arms tense from your words. “When I told you to kill me…” you leaned down close to his ear, your warm breath causing him to close his eyes from the tickling feeling.
“I was trying to save you from myself.
And now, I’m going to make the rest of your life hell.”

This was so good Omg. With your permission can I add a spin off?? I love twisted shit 😭
you inhale deeply, lightly patting your wound with a washcloth. there really shouldn't be any reason for mindy's voice to be ringing over in your head "be careful with him." she'd told you before you left to go back to your boyfriend's dorm, seeing as your apartment had turned into a crime scene. the drive there had been in complete silence, save for ethan occasionally checking in on you. it's been silent between the two of you since you'd seen him, truthfully.
it's silly, really. to even think about it. especially considering the implications of what it would mean to you. to your relationship. shrugging off whatever ill-intended thoughts that swarm your mind, you glance towards your boyfriend. and yet you can't help the worry and suspicion that settles like a weight in your chest.
ethan must have noticed the way you're staring at him, because the next thing he says takes you by surprise. "why are you looking at me like that?" he asks quietly. "do you think i'm the killer, too?"
you can't prevent the underlying tone of worry in your voice when you finally muster up the courage to reply, you don't even know what you've said until you hear the sound of your own voice ringing back in your ears. "i don't know what to think," you say, your voice barely above a whisper. "it's just- it's... you keep disappearing every time something happens. where were you, e? i needed you with me. and you weren't there. i was stabbed- i lost anika. my best friend died infront of me and you weren't there."
ethan's face is a mask of cold anger, though the softness you've been familiar to for the past year still glimmering in his eyes. "i told you angel, i was at econ. and i'm telling you again, i didn't do it. you have to believe me."
"after everything that's happened... after last year with sam- i'm just not sure what to think anymore. with everything that they're saying... i just-" you pause, cutting yourself off. this isn't even a conversation you want to be having right now.
a long beat passes before ethan speaks up. "they? who is they? mindy? anika? tara? i'm so tired of being accused of being the killer. what's to say those bitches aren't the killers themselves? huh?" although he keeps his composure, his tone is laced with venom. you've never heard him talk like this before.
"i just feel like i don't even know who you are anymore." you whisper, letting go of what you had held back from saying a moment before.
"that's a shame," he says, leaning in closer to you. his tone completely different, it's as if something had shifted in him within a few seconds. "because i feel like i know you better than anyone. in fact, i know everything about you. your fears, your desires, your weaknesses...all of it."
"that's...unsettling," you say, pulling away from him.
"oh, come on," a grin spreads over his face, his tone dripping with implication. "don't tell me you don't find it a little bit exciting. the idea that someone knows you so intimately, someone who's willing to do anything to be with you..." he trails off, his eyes darkening. "it's kind of romantic, don't you think?"
"no, it's not," you say, voice shaking. "it's sick. i don't like the way you're talking to me, ethan. you're scaring me."
"am i?" ethan says in a low scoff, barely audible. "you should be scared, sweetheart. you have no idea what i'm capable of."
you can barely register what he's saying. is this some sick twisted game to him? is he being his usual sarcastic self? surely not- not after what you just went through. your mind is drowning in endless vivid images of your boyfriend brutally murdering innocent people, your friends, your loved ones. this is the man who you've spent every sleepless night with for a year now, the man who you've devoted yourself to in every way possible, and in his own words, a man who knows you so intimately- in ways which you don't even know yourself. "what are you going to do?"
"nothing, as long as you behave." a twisted smile spreads across his face as he eyes your wound, his voice so low. "though that says otherwise, hmm?" he laughs. he actually laughs. "believe me, i never meant for it to happen, princess. but you just had to try and protect anika, and i thought you were mindy- god how i wish it had been that bitch. though i figure she got her warning."
you can't speak. it's as if every fiber of your being has shut down. ethan reaches out to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, and you let him. you know you should be screaming, shoving him away, running even. but you don't do any of those things. instead, you stare at your boyfriend as he towers over you, accepting the fact that any second now he'd make a move to hurt you. but ethan let's out a soft chuckle when he takes in the expression plastered over your face. "oh my sweet dumb thing. i love you, remember? i'd never hurt you. don't worry, baby. i'd sooner die before i let anything happen to you ever again."

I don’t wish you well. 4
Tumblr media
Short story.
Inspiration from Brent fiayaz; darling I don't wish you well
Italics=English
I imagine since the Navi can see in the dark, this causes them to have tapetum lucidum, reflective eyes. Well it’s kinda canon with the sully family picture lol.
Yandere Reader × Neytiri X Jake Sully
Summery: You wanting to kill him, you were going to. But you were warned.
⚠️warning⚠️
Mention of killing
Tumblr media
The apology went exactly how you knew it would go, awkward, and painful. You loved it. Maybe you loved it too much as you thought about it while bathing in the hot springs, mind flashing back as his eyes widened at your proximity
You considered yourself to be a nice person, very inviting, and very mature for your age.
But it was something about Jake Sully that made you want to be the most obtuse jerk. You couldn’t stand him. You couldn’t stand his lingering sweet funk, his stupid hair that he refuses to let get braided, his small beady eyes, and his weird extra fingers and toes. Just a funny-looking alien in a false body. Just like the rest of them.
Jake Sully made you get very out of character, as someone who is self-aware, you couldn’t even recognize yourself.
(Flash Back)
. You left moats healing cove with a slight attitude. Your blank face only got betrayed by the tail that whipped so fast behind you it sounded like it was slapping the wind and the pointed ears that pressed to your head
Apologize, she says. Apologize for what? I did him no wrong, why am I the one apologizing when he should be the one apologizing? He’s the one that’s ruining everything, always in the way, always around her, stealing her time.
You walk away from the healer's tree and jump branch to branch on your way to your home, where you could only assume Neytiri and Jake would be. Your steps matched your attitude, fast with light stomps, twigs, and moss not having a chance as they crumbled underneath the force of you going up the home tree.
“Hey, you.” You watched as he shuffles in the hammock, head looking up only to catch your reflecting eyes staring daggers into his. He laid there awkwardly stiff as you interrupted him while he was getting comfortable. “Um-yes?” He mumbled, body never moving from its weird twisted position.
You have his body a glance, forcing them away to the hammock beside him. Neytiri wasn’t there. “Oh- she’s getting clean right now.” He notices your lack of attention, the webbed bed beside him having your eyes. “So why aren’t you bathing?” You scrunched up your face, eyes reflected like a cat, snapping towards the man below you.
Jake shifted uncomfortably as your piercing eyes met with his, heart almost stopping. Something is so off with you. You were intimidating, possibly more than the tsahik, you were eerie, dangerous.
You left the worst goosebumps on his skin when you came into eye view. This might be the longest conversation you’ve had with him, and it’s about his personal hygiene. And he’s seen you almost every day.
You already thought low of the man, now he’s just unhygienic? ‘Neytiri, why him!’ He could read all over your face that you didn’t enjoy his presence, he just didn’t know why. You found him such a nuisance, a weirdo. This was something he was used to.
Embarrassed, Jake sat up and turned his body towards you, blue face tinting purple. “W-well you see- look I know it seems like it’s gross but I usually bathe in the morning” “The morning? No that’s wrong. We train, we hunt, we do chores, we eat, we bond, we clean, we bathe, we sleep.” As you spoke your hand was out, pointing towards the man with each point you made.
“Yeah- and I understand that, but I just feel better cleaning myself in the morning-“ “You are cleaning yourself wrong. You sleep dirty. We do not take off our hammocks and clean them, they are a part of Eywa, and they are attached to our home as they grow from it. You are wrong. We are done speaking about it, come, we talk.”
Before Jake even had a chance to speak, you walked down the large tree branch and into the room that was in the trunk of the tree, where the Navi stored their belongings. He took a few seconds to reach you, breathing a little hard. You are embarrassed for him.
“Why are you looking at me like that.” He asked as he released a deep breath. “I am embarrassed by you.” You repeated your thought. This flustered the man some more, causing him to scoff and look away. “If you don’t even like me then why are you even talking to me.” You squinted your eyes at him, not liking the attitude.
“I come to apologize. I was going to kill you today.”
Jake Sully stood there quietly, his small eyes wider than you’ve ever seen them. It almost made you laugh at how wide they stretched. He didn’t know how to act at that moment, what would his reaction be, what would he do? In this short amount of time in silence, he analyzed your mannerisms, seeing how relaxed you were, and how soft your face was.
You didn’t see wrong in your words, nor in your doings. You didn’t even know if he was going to attack you, yet you were so nonchalant. Were you that comfortable in yourself that you knew you’d win a fight with him? Thoughts on thoughts on thoughts, he didn’t even realize how you narrowed your eyes at him as if challenging him to do something, but he did notice the way you stepped up towards him, making him step back in caution.
“Speak.” You commanded him to speak his thoughts. You stepped up to him once again, first time being so close to him, it was a shocker to you both as you were a little taller than him. “This is me apologizing to you Jake Sully. I apologize, speak.”
You wanted nothing more than to bump shoulders with him to get downstairs to bathe and sleep. You could care less if he accepted your apology or not for the simple fact you know he’s hiding something. You didn’t know what, but he is.
Jake Sully sucks in a breath as you invade his personal space for the first time in 2 and a half months. It was overwhelming, this is the first conversation you’ve had with him and you’re apologizing for almost killing him when he didn’t even know about it? When did you try to do it? Why did you try to do it? Had he done something wrong?
Do you know?
Gulping, the man stood his ground and looked up at your 9ft figure, tail no longer swaying in nervousness as he wrapped it around his leg. “I…accept your apology.” He gulps as he looks between your eyes instead at them.
“Good. We shall speak nothing of this. Go bathe, then sleep. Neytiri is teaching you how to make arrows tomorrow.” And just like that, you walk away, leaving the blue man behind you frozen with nothing but nerves and fear.
You must know about the plan. Why else would you want to kill me? You didn’t bring it up? No, you can’t know that’s impossible.
Jake looks over his shoulder, and you were gone.
It felt amazing to speak to him as if he was trash. Because that is what he is.
Trash.
The next day you woke up to the future Olo'eyktan staring down at you with a leaf filled with meat and berries. You jump up at the feeling of something glaring at you, only to see Tsu’tey grinning down at your figure. “Eat worrier, the tsahik calls for you.” You groan at this and fell back against the spongy material of the hammock. Tsu’tey releases a roar of laughter before reaching down and giving you the warm leaf. “Eeeaat sister. Get strength. Later we will bring yerik back for tonight’s dinner.”
You and Tsu’tey were not biological siblings, but you were close friends. This is why you trusted Tsu’tey with Neytiri. But you did have real siblings. An older sister named On’ak, whom you rarely saw as she took care of your elderly parents, a younger brother named Ka’ani, and a baby sister named San who stayed with your parents. “What are you doing now?” You asked, voice scratching while you sit up to eat.
You try to keep up a conversation, but all you could think about is what Moat was going to say. His words going in and out, it was damn near slurring together
“Meeting with Takuk, Ka’ani, and Saeyla. Your brother is getting better, I feel he shall claim his ikran soon.” He praises the younger, something he rarely does, but he was proud of him. “Good. I’m tired of him whining. How’s your training with the Olo'eyktan.” “I cannot stand the meditation aspect. It is boring! I want to fight and hunt. Not sit there falling asleep.” Tsu’tey was the only person that could make you feel calm. He was a true friend that didn’t make you feel pressured or on edge. You could trust him. Even if you were in love with the person he was to marry.
“Enough speaking, eat. I’ll see you later!” You nodded a bye to him as he stood from the branch and went downstairs. You have no idea what’s in store. Oh, Eywa.
“Child you are late! Sit!” You couldn’t even speak out a proper greeting as the tsahik shoved you over to the cushions. “What is the rush?” You ask the lady, watching as she closes the cloth that separated her room and the stairs. Her fast pacing made you nervous “There is something you need to know… and you will not like it.” She took in a deep breath before sitting down directly beside you.
I won’t like it?
For some reason, you knew. You had a feeling…and you knew.
“What? What is it?” You felt that feeling again. That feeling when you first saw Jake sullies eyes lock with Neytiris. That deep pit of nausea and disgust forming in your gut. You were about to throw up.
“As you know, polyamory relationships are quite common for us Navi folk.” Where is this going? “I used to be in one before my children were born, my second wife, shízolí. That was until she fell sick many years ago.”
You were dead silent, jaw clinching and eyes widened as you were praying to Eywa that the vomit bubbling in your stomach wouldn’t come up with full force. “Get…to it.” You swallowed thickly, anticipation jumping through your bones, disgust rattling in your gut just as it did when you saw those sky people shoot up your friends a year ago.
Moat watches as you freeze up. You are truly dramatic. Just as she was about to speak your truth you cut her off.
“Do not tell me if you’re going to say what you are about to say.”
“Well, child do you want me to stay quiet or tell you.”
“I want my ikran to bite my head off.”
“You are to marry my daughter y/n. Not only that but you are to marry Jake Sully as well.” Oh god, you felt it coming up. “I can’t- I- I won’t.” You took in a deep breath, about to stand up to pace around. But the tsahik holds you down, forcing you to keep her facing you.
“You can, and you will. It’s Eywas way.” Her eyes widen as she hisses at your defiance. “What about my friend?! Hm?! The future leader of this clan??! What about Tsu’tey!?” Your voice cracks as it raises. Marrying your best friend sounded like such a dream, all to be burned down with knowing you’d have to carry that disgusting thing children one day.
Those babies don’t deserve a colonizer for a father. They didn’t deserve that.
“He will understand when it comes down to it! He loves Neytiri, yes! But his heart and soul belong to someone else. He will get over it as your future continues.” Her voice mellows down into a whisper, eyes no longer wide as she tried to calm your beating heart and wondering eyes.
“What future Moat? The future where my brother looks at me with disgust? The future where I lay on my back to mate with the alien that tries to steal my mate?! Or the future where I and my best friend, my mate, my Neytiri have to lay on our sore ass backs to push out his big-headed ass kids.” Your voice was monotoned, eyes going blank as you bore them into the leader of the clan.
“Yes. And that is your future.”

In which you and Emrby call try to patch your friend ship.
Tumblr media
You stood there with your hands in your hoodie pockets, eyes staring down at your cut-off Palm Treo.
It's been off for a few days now, collecting dust on your windowsill. You were contemplating if you should bring it to the campfire that night. But then you thought about how everyone you currently associate yourself with is going to be at the council meeting.
It almost made you... chuckle at how lonely you felt. And it didn't make sense why you felt that way. So isolated.
You had them.
Eyes moving from your phone, into the forest that was straight out the window, there stood Leah, brows pushed together as she watched you watch her. It was currently 5 pm. Time for a haircut.
The older woman tilted her head, urging you to hurry up, and so you do. You decided against the phone, no need for it as you would be accompanied.
If anyone needed you, they knew you'd be with Leah, they can call her.
But you did on the other hand grab your wallet and keys as you walked to the front door. "Hey, are you gonna be back before the council meeting?" Your dad called out, glasses on the bridge of his nose and a newspaper in his hold. You stuffed your hands In your pocket, fidgeting with the lint.
You weren't going to get used to this wolf stuff anytime soon. "Yeah."
As you were about to leave, your father released a sigh. "You know... you should probably speak to Embry tonight. Just so you can...understand each other. To clear the air, y'know?" Biting on the skin on your lip, you placed your hand on the knob.
Why am I hesitating to leave? Truth be told you weren't sure if you wanted to see him or not. There wasn't anything to say...or at least you didn't know what to say.
As always, you were forced into some shit you knew nothing about.
"Yeah..." this time you sounded uncertain as you walked out of the cabin and down the ramp. Leah was already in the truck, leaning back with her eyes closed. She assisted she came. Something along the lines of "if we see a Cullen I'll hide you in an ice box." Or something like that.
"You sure took your time."
"Yeah... sorry."
At least for right now, I have them.
"You know, you don't look shabby," Leah spoke beside you as you got turned around in the chair, your reflection staring back at you. You released a breath of air as your eyes scaled up your face and onto your short hair.
Turning your head to the side, you analyze the curls that came about one inch off your head. For the first time in forever, your curls were defined and shiny, and it looked like you took care of your mental health as your baby hairs slicked back perfectly into the rest of your hair.
"Oh wow." Your hand came up, fingers touching the soft coils. It wasn't roughy and tangled like the ends of your hair were, it was soft, tangle free. "No split ends..." your lips twitched up into a smile as you released the rest of the breath you held in.
You held up the $50 bucks in your middle and pointer finger, which the female barber was glad to take. "Thanks for this." You took a glance at the woman, her eye's already on yours. She gave you a smile, it was warm, she meant it, before taking the cape off and shaking down the hair.
Giving yourself one last look in the mirror you stood up and faced the older woman with crossed arms. "Feel better?" Leah asked, keen eyes telling you felt a lift off your shoulder as you rubbed the back of your neck. "Yeah actually."
The both of you stepped in the truck and closed the door in sync. Yet you didn't make a move to start the engine. "Have you ever... imprinted before?" The silence in the car was loud. Even the traffic happening around them was muted. Nothing but a slight white pitch noise surrounds the two of you. You couldn't even hear your heartbeats.
Looking at the shifter, she was staring straight ahead, but that didn't stop her from fidgeting with her hands. "If I was, I wouldn't be stuck loving a man who won't or can't love me back." She cracked a smile, not because it was amusing, but because she wish it was a possibility.
"You don't think he loves you?" You asked, confused as to why she would think that. Everyone could feel the guilt Sam felt when they were in pack, the love he still felt for Leah was there. "It's all guilt," she shakes her head, somehow knowing what you were thinking. The imprint took away the man she loved, she knew she could never get that back as his head and heart belonged to someone else.
"I hate feeling pitied on, and that's all he's giving me.." "Leah I'm sure he still loves you." He had to. You felt it, everyone did.
"He doesn't pity you for being alone. He pities the fact that he hurt you, for breaking your heart....And, Trust me I know. I'm... still very in love with someone who I truly don't know anymore. So far what I've gathered from this imprint thing is... even though we're bonded... unfortunately mated for life... my heart still beats for someone else.. and it hurts."
This time it was Leah's turn to take pity on you. Without fully looking at you, her brown eyes give you a side glare. You felt it, but you ignored it as you stuffed the keys in the car. "Our situation is also different... you get to try to heal, your ex isn't always in your face."
She didn't spit venom when she talked. Her voice was softer, weaker. You didn't try to disagree with her. You knew it was true, and you felt yourself feeling worse. You should be grateful of this.
"Wanna go eat some Waffle House?" You changed the subject, eyes shifting back to the wolf girl who slouched back in her chair. With a lazy grin, she nodded.
"Good, I don't wanna go home yet."
"Me neither."
The relationship between you and the older woman was becoming stronger. The only thing about her you wish you could change was that damn attitude, but you understood why you received it, everyone did.
"Wish someone would've warned me about the diet change. I could eat a whole damn buffet." You sulked as you looked down at the bill. Damn near $200 used just between the two of you. At WAFFLE HOUSE. The fuck?
Leah just laughs at your suffering, hand buckling the seat belt. "Now you see why Emily is always in that damn kitchen? Yeah, kid, you might as well get that job you were talking about, you'll be doing a lot of grocery shopping. And don't even get me started on our period-"
"We still get those??" Your voice raised, only getting blocked out by Leah's laughter.
Shit was not funny.
You looked at her, disbelief written all over your face as your brain does calculations. "We will never be free.." you whined. "Well- what about shifting? Does it still... continue?"
With a grin, Leah sits back in the passenger seat, hand over her bloated stomach as she sighs. "Surprisingly no, you would think so but," she shakes her head, eyes squinting as she tried to remember. "It just doesn't come. Maybe it has something to do with our metabolism. Our body temperature? We run hotter when we're a dog."
She shrugs, already over the conversation. "Whatever it is, I'm blessed."
"Maybe it's because we're not meant to have sex when we're the-"
"Okay, eeeew" the older lady covers her ears "lalalala!" She says loudly, causing you to burst out in laughter.
This felt so good. To laugh, to make fun of your situation without feeling offended. But, eventually, it all came to an end.
Someone was staring at you.
In sync, the two of you froze, no longer laughing in joy.
"Smell that?" Her voice was low, knowing that whoever was staring, could most likely hear them. You nodded.
A vampire.
Without moving your head, your keen eyes scanned your perimeter.
"Oh god."
Your eyes dilated as they make contact with a pair of golden ones. "Just drive" you didn't respond, hands turning the key, causing the truck to roar to life.
"Y/N."
You flinched, breath hitching. "Why didn't you roll the window up..." Leah spoke in a monotone voice, black eyes glaring daggers on the side of your head before glaring at the two women outside the car. "Shit..."
You cursed, knuckles turning white on the steering wheel. "You're... alive," Alice spoke, a shy smile on her face. "And you look good! The hair I mean..." this time it was Rosalie who spoke, blond hair tucked behind her ears.
You didn't respond, eyes still on the shopping center across from you. You could see their nose flare, taking a whiff of the smell the two of you gave off. You and Leah did the same, not willingly. You started to get nauseous. So sweet. You could gag.
"Yeah...can't help but want to be dead right now." You grumbled, knowing full well they could hear you. "You've... changed." The blonde said, jaw clenching her jaw as she eyed the woman next to you. "Wanna see how much she's changed? Leave." The wolf girl spits out, upper half leaning over you to get more in her face.
"Okay whoa, this is their turf Leah... we'll leave." Your brows came together in a slight panic, a hand coming up to push her back into the seat.
"That's why I can't see your future?" The short vampire asked, golden eyes widened as she ignores any threats she was given. There was no need to keep who she was from you, no need to sugarcoat it as you were no longer you. She's seen this before when Bella was saved by Jacob.
Oh, how you wanted to run yourself over with this truck. You'd take that ice box right about now. Rather be freezing cold than have this conversation. "We're leaving now, you should move before your pretty skin gets run over." You said with a tone that can only be described as timid, laced with disappointment.
Okay.. that hurts. The pixy vampire felt her brows frown. You seemed to be taking this...well, appropriately. Appropriate enough for your species.
Your hand was already on the button for the window, ready to lift it until the blondie placed a stone hand on top of the glass, keeping you from your actions. You knew best to keep going, knowing it could crumble like chips.
"So that's it? You won't speak to us? Y/n we were worried about you! We haven't seen your face in weeks! Your father not returning any of our calls, and your brother staying on your land. We thought you were gone, and you're just going to drive away like nothing? No, I won't accept it!" Rosalie started raising her voice, triggering you to move from the window as your ears picked up the squeaking of her vocal cords.
She is just stone. Two stones rubbing together, creating an annoying squeaky noise you couldn't hear before the fever kicked in.
Chewing on your jaw, flexing the muscle, your darker eyes gave the vampire woman a look. "You want to talk? We can talk... just not hear." You quietly added the last statement as you heard the growl of your pack member. You didn't mean to act this... rude to them.
You just couldn't help it. You were still new to this.
Taking a frustrated unneeded breath, the woman with the blonde chair retreated her hand back to her side.
"Then when?" Her voice was calmer, nose still flared as she tried to suppress her anger. She was growing impatient. The moment she spot you coming out of the restaurant- with the biggest smile on your face- she knew she had to come to you. To try and apologize.
That dog next to you just had to run her mouth. Or maybe you just didn't want to see her. To see them. It made sense. Protecting their brother while their friend knew nothing about it.
"Soon."
You said, finger rolling up your window. "I can't believe you just held a conversation with them." You pulled out of the parking spot, ears blocking out the woman beside you as she ranted on and on about how she wanted to rip their throats out.
You couldn't stand it, hearing all the threats given to them. They were your friends not too long ago. You just found out everything the day before, you didn't need the constant cursing and stress today, everything was going good, and now, it's shit.
Parking the truck in front of the red house, the sun was gone, setting behind the trees. The rumbling of the truck shuts off as you pull the keys out, eyes settling where the fire illuminated the grass and house.
"The meeting is starting, let's go." Leah was quick to hop out of the car, long legs jogging to the back of the house. It took you a few seconds to get it together, the whole situation that happened earlier still in your head.
They came out of nowhere, where did they come from? You were parked at the shopping center, you knew how Alice was with clothes.
Sliding the hood over your short hair, you chewed on your bottom lip, trying to force your mind away from the two sisters that belonged to the family you wanted nothing to do with. Not now at least.
Oh, how you wanted the summer break to end so you can enjoy getting drunk with the stupid college friends you didn't truly consider friends. You're really missing Virginia right now, really missing the sun hitting you even if it was 30 degrees. But now it's summer, but it didn't feel like it.
Here, in forks, all you get is clouds and rain. Sometimes muddy snow. But in Virginia the snow was beautiful, and you didn't mind when your shoes were always soaked when you walked to the dorm.
Even missing that stiff-ass bed you had. Not that the bed here was any better.
"Hey! Come on!" You blinked, snapping out of it as you heard the muffled voice of the young wolf, Seth. You breathed in as you gave him a tight-lipped smile, stepping out the truck. "Hey, kid." "Better hurry up before your brother gobbles down the glizzies." You gave the shorter boy a strange look as you start walking with him to the back.
The smell of charcoal and meat fills your nose, causing your stomach to rumble. "Yeah- okay I hear how that sounds-but! By the seems of it, you seem hungry." You released a heavy sigh at this, getting a flashback at the receipt you got earlier. "Yeah, this fast metabolism is going to be the death of my wallet. I should still be full from the number of carbs I ate today." You placed a heavy hand on your belly, the fullness that was there, now gone.
"Yeah, it just gets worse the more we transform, to be honest." The boy said with a lazy smile, dark eyes glowing orange as the fire reflects off them. Everyone, you knew surrounded it with a smile and laugh.
The four elders sat together. Sam, was on the outside, beside Billy, while Emily was on his other side, Billy beside Old Quil, and Sue at the other end, beside her son.
"Imprinting is something we, the Quileute go through to find our soul mates." your father says, dark brown eyes giving the group a scan before they rested on you. The rest of them take small peaks at you, and the male that sat beside you. You shift uncomfortably, always hating having attention on you as you weren't used to it, to begin with.
You slid your warm hands inside the pockets of your hoodie, having nowhere to place them. Embry sat next to you, his eyes down at the crackling fire as he also felt the awkward gaze that was given to the two of you.
This is so weird. He thought to himself as he took a glance towards your brother, but he was already met with the disappointed gaze of the younger. Yeah, couldn't blame him. He imprinted on his best friend's big sister.
"We cannot control when it happens, nor can we choose who it happens with... that can be seen as a blessing or a curse." Your eyes never left the gravel, the black smoke from the fire staining the rocks as he spoke. You didn't see the small peeks Quil received from the pack.
"It can happen at any age, any time, any place. Imprinting... has no mercy. And we have no choice but to live with that." You finally picked your eyes up from the rocks, your father's voice speaking wisdom through the young people's ears.
You catch his wise eyes glancing toward Leah and the leader of the pack. Ooh, he's messy. You, breathed out of your nose, scoffing at the way your alpha shifted uncomfortably while his fiancée cleared her throat.
Leah just sat there with a hard expression, not afraid to hold eye contact with your old man. She acted tough so they wouldn't know she felt weak. But everyone knew how she felt.
Your Alpha. You cringe at your inner monologue, teeth grinding together as you take a look at every one. Alphaaa. You dragged out in your head, rolling your eyes as you let out a sigh. It's already happening, the brainwashing.
You took this chance to take in everyone's features and demeanors as they stared at their elders. They all looked so serious, so intent on being there.
You weren't meant for this, you did not belong here, you never did. No control over who it happened with... it has no mercy. And we have no choice but to live with it. There is no blessing, it's all curse. No free will, no true happiness.
"The act of imprinting is a rare occurrence, never happening in more than 100 years, until recently. If one tries to reject their imprint, they die." Whoa, whoa whoa whoa. He has to be joking. Your back straightens out from its slouch, face never hiding its expression as your dark eyes give a glare to your father. Please be joking.
Your father doesn't entertain your glare as he gives his attention to Sam, placing a heavy hand on the leader's shoulder, giving him a proud look and a nod. You didn't know it, but Sam went through hell when he imprinted on Emily, the cousin of his then-girlfriend, Leah. He hated himself for it and still does. They say you can't love two people at once, but Sam did, he really did.
Even if he couldn't show it.
Billy acknowledges this. He knew the boy was fighting with himself. Internally and physically. Due to him being the first one turning when the Cullens moved back some years ago, he struggled the most, going through it alone.
You picked at your fingers that hid inside your hoodie, head looking up at the dark sky and hood finding its way behind your head. There weren't any stars today, a dark blue sky covered its clouds.
It may have looked like you weren't paying attention, but your ears never strayed away from Old Quils rough voice as he spoke the words of the story of the 3rd wife.
Embry thought he was slick as his eyes stared at the side of your face, scanning the shortcut you acquired earlier that day. He liked it, a lot.
You had forgotten all about it once you left your truck, head only filled with the possibility of tonight, filled with the two sisters you bumped into that day.
They've heard this story a few times already, but it never stopped them from being invested, intrigued.
Hearing their tribe's stories, hearing their curses and gifts. It reminded them how much they were stuck in place, never moving forward until their enemies moved from their land. Knowing the Cullens, they'll return in a few years, when the shifters are old, no longer fighting until the next generation of wolves transforms.
Or, until they themselves moved away, and stopped shifting. But that's not even guaranteed. You never know what is lurking in your new life, nothing is perfect after all.
They couldn't tell if the pain of their shifting bones was worthed it, or if they demised it.
They wanted to keep the civilians safe, but even then, they couldn't save the day every time. And that pained them. Heavy. Like yesterday, when that teenager laid across the forest floor, with the demon on top of her.
She was just a kid, most likely coming from school for break. It broke them. But they killed the monster who took the last breath away from that child. Her death wasn't in vain. Her dying saved hundreds of others' lives. But of course, there were times when they saw it as a curse. A threat to themselves, a threat to others.
They were beasts who fed on anger. And that anger could turn into something ugly, real ugly.
"We have enemies out there. Some living far away, some living a mere 40 minutes up the lake. There are ones who want to kill the people we protect, and others who want to live in peace, who want no trouble. We don't like any of them. It is our nature to kill them, to rip them apart, to light their limbs on fire. But for the sake of our babies who stroll around the reservation, the women who carry their heads high, and the men who protect their own... we keep peace with the demons... never crossing each other's turf unless absolutely needed. And it's been that way for centuries."
Hands holding the two black garbage back, you began walking to the trash. The meeting was over, and now everyone helped clean. "Hey, uh, y/n." Oh god.
Taking in a deep breath you released a hum, letting Embry know that you were listening as you flipped the green can open, throwing the bags in there with ease.
"I know that, this is awkward, trust me I feel the same way.." no, no you know nothing about how I feel. You release your breath as you turned around, only to quickly take a step back at how close he was. "Uh- sorry. Look... if...you're uncomfortable with it, we can pretend like y'know...we're not bonded." What the hell is that?
You felt your heart squeeze, no this wasn't a type of metaphor, it actually squeezed.
"If one tries to reject their imprint, they die." Shit, that old fart wasn't playing.
Eyes brows narrowing together, it was as if you were in sync as the both of you brought your hands up to the left of your chest, directly on your stuttering heart.
It was a sharp pain, it left just as quickly as it came. Looking up from the ground, you met with the eyes of your imprint. "You felt that." You didn't ask him, you knew he did.
He just nodded, eyes narrowing on yours. You didn't have much of a reaction, which confused him, instead, you released a scoff as your hand came back to your side. "Yeah, I thought so. That was our bodies telling us we better not pull that shit again." This is real life, this shit was real.
"So, what do we do?.." the male, who was probably an inch taller than you asked. "I would say something along the lines of "oh I need time" or "I have to heal, I can't do this" but who knows what might happen if I'm away from you for a long period of time..."
did you just say that?
Did I just say that??
Did you just...admit that you couldn't be away from him. It must be the imprint talking. You didn't...regret saying it. But you were never the type to rely on someone, this freaked you out, no, you were freaked out on the fact that you weren't freaking out.
Your brain wanted you to go back to VA, to lay in bed and cry about your ex. Yet here you were, admitting to the kid that you couldn't stay away from him on purpose.
And he seems to react to your words, long legs shifting side by side as he looks away from your gaze. "W-well" fuck, he stuttered. This was all too intense. He took a step back from you, clammy hands cuffing onto his arms as he crosses his arms.
"Don't! Make this weird kid... to save ourselves from keeling over, we can uh... we can get to know each other. It's been a while since we've actually held a conversation... we grew up." You were quick to cut him off, saving him from saying something that could cause you two to be embarrassed.
He was quick to shut his mouth, a fast nod coming next as he agreed to your words.
This was true, he finished high school in a detention center. Well, more like getting his GED in a detention center. He spent a year in Texas wondering what his friends could be doing, what you were doing.
He wasn't as immature as he once was, he was better and older. Still goofy as shit, but somewhat mature. He could confidently say that he wasn't the same person he was back then, and so were you.
For this to work, they needed to put a bandaid on their friendship "I think- I think that's a good idea, yeah. We have some catching up to do."
