Zagreus and Thanatos, in the gardens of the House of Hades.

This piece sure took me a while to complete, but I love every part of it!

I wanted to redesign their outfits a bit, make them less combat-like, and more ornamental. I like to imagine this is happening outside of the house during some festivity, where Zag and Than share an Ambrosia in privacy, and Than hands out Mort to Zag.

I spent a lot of time figuring out the plants and the trees and the overall mood. I wanted it to be dark, as it is in the gardens there, with an overall purple hue.

Portrait sketch,

Going back to traditional in between my digital work helps with grounding me somehow, it's almost therapeutic. I plan on doing more traditional sketches, maybe re-work some of them in digital.

Started in a grayscale this time, and gonna apply a gradient map afterwards on top of it, see what I get and play around with it until the client and I are happy with it!

WIP, more Olaryn~ Gave up on the shirt. I feel like I'm on track of a breakthrough of sorts, figuring out shading in a more "efficient" way. Time will tell if I will break through or ✨break down✨

Olaryn, the guide of shades and whispers, Here it is! My attempt at a character sheet, and I gave up halfway on the outfit (I did draw him out nude but I'm afraid to post it lmao) I'll def make more of him in different clothes too probably. These are more like training/fighting robes I imagine.

Sketches! for something I always wanted to do, but never got to it. However, now's the time to change it! Gonna try doing a character reference sheet for Olaryn ~ Hope to do like a layer with his accessories and clothes, maybe a combo or two, but I already see myself giving up after the anatomy base haha, Kinda wanna do details on his lantern as well, will see how it goes
