mini life update for anyone who cares about my life or is wondering where i’ve been

hi !! i know i’m not famous or anything but i did get a couple asks asking where i’ve been and it seems a few of u miss my works so i’m here to give an update , leaving out a lot of personal details ofc as i wanna be anonymous ( obvi ) on here

as some of u may know , i graduated high school this year !! i took a gap year for a variety of reasons and thought that would give me lots of time to write so i made an acc and posted a couple works , drabbles , and hcs . i thought id have lots of time to be active . right ? WRONG !! i actually have LOTS to do .. 🥲

since i focused so much on my academics throughout high school , i don’t have lots of other things that make me stand out . good grades isn’t enough to get into college , unfortunately .. so i’ve been doing lots of stuff even in the couple months i’ve been out of school !!

one of the main activities i legally cannot say even though this is an anonymous account for both my personal image and the people who work with me . any sort of connection from this account to my identity can be very risky . even if i was allowed , i wouldn’t take that risk 😭

also .. i’ve been writing a book !! it’s a story i’m really passionate about , and includes , you guessed it , lesbians !! i won’t promote it on here when i publish it since again , it could tie my account to my identity . but if in 1 to 3 years you read a book with a story involving lesbians and notice side characters named arielle and ellie .. you could assume that’s mine :)

anyway , thanks to everyone who likes my stuff and especially thanks to those asking about where / how i’ve been !! ily all <3

dont worry bb you’re doing great! there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be sure, in fact it’s very nice to do. lots of writers only ever do this when they get called out for not being inclusive in the first place, so i think it’s very thoughtful of you to do so from the jump. and i know you have somewhere on your profile saying this iirc? so yeah i wouldn’t worry about it. if you do mess up though (which can happen to anyone) make sure to listen to poc and correct it. :)

the other anon was talking about how the writer wasn't being inclusive, instead of saying the readers face getting hot they would just say "turning red/blushing" which isn't inclusive, along with hair they would imply that the readers hair was definitely not kinky, and they would say things like "red/pink marks", the author would also act a little childlike and imply that into their writing, now that's just my opinion but it weirded me out alot so I just decided to unfollow and block them!

ahh i see ,, yea that’s a very diff srry if i misunderstood as i’ve said im not quite fluent in english yet 🥲 i totally get the criticism if that’s the case ( i personally think the acting childlike thing is very odd as well im not rlly a fan of fics that do that ) but at the end of the day it’s always better to unfollow and block 😅 maybe the dts were a little too much maybe they never thought abt it ?? idk im still kinda confused abt the whole situation 😭

side note i’ve used blushing / turning red before , mainly blushing ( unsure if i’ve done it in any fics i’ve posted here , my memory is kinda bad ) but thx for telling me this i won’t use this wording anymore !! it never rlly crossed my mind since i’ve never blushed or anything and i just kinda used the word since i see it get used a lot in media but i never rlly thought abt it , i’ve never even blushed before so i thought it was more so the feeling itself rather than ur face literally turning red , if that makes sense ? but yea i’ll make sure to avoid it from now on ^^

also i just wanna say , pls let me know if any of my fics aren’t inclusive !! i want to make sure all of my works can be enjoyed by anyone , regardless of appearance . i try my best to not include any physical descriptions of reader ( aside from outfits n minor stuff like that )

i like to think they’re already as inclusive as possible but i’m not perfect and i might’ve had some slip ups ( ? ) here and there , and if that’s the case pls let me know so i can correct it !!

side note : i’ve had a couple requests for black reader , but im not black myself , i don’t think it’s okay for me to write them bc of that . but i’m not really sure since , again , im not black , so i just wanted to ask to be fully sure if it’s okay for me to write them . i hope this question doesn’t come across as disrespectful im not sure i worded it properly im not fluent in english yet , im genuinely asking 😭🙏

okay so basically a writer wrote a cat hybrid reader fic where the reader went into heat or whatever & people started attacking her for that . like there was an entire account made just to hate on her . the race thing also has to do with that same writer as well as another one i think ?? w the race situation , i think someone called them out for not making their x reader fics inclusive . a lot of the community doesn't think that the writers aren't inclusive , they just write hyper fem readers & women of color often aren't seen as feminine which led to them being called out for "not being inclusive" .. this whole situation led to multiple black writers who said the other writers weren't being inclusive being attacked (called racial slurs , sent dts , sent r•pe threats , and just horrible things).

i hope this made sense i sort of started rambling !

heat fics r so common too .. me personally i feel a bit iffy abt them but that’s just bc they make ME PERSONALLY uncomfy , but i wouldn’t hate or attack someone for liking it , i don’t think it’s something morally wrong to write abt yk ? if that makes sense ,, absolutely not something to send dts abt omg

and the implication of hyper fem reader being exclusive to woc is so strange .. as a latina woman it’s very true us and a lot of woc deal w being masculinized bc of race but i don’t see how that immediately equates hyper fem to whiteness ?? if anything that just further pushes woc as masculine and is the total opposite of inclusive . ppl in general attack others for stuff like this but THEY end up being the ones pushing what they claim to be against in a way , it’s so performative

and calling black writers racial slurs bc they disagree and think it’s other writers being exclusive is so .. :/ racism in fandom spaces is just so rampant and comes to light with situations like these . i hope anyone affected by this situation is doing okay :(

btw , do u know the usernames of any of the authors involved ? id love to follow / support them and reblog their works !!
