I know that wikis and the like aren't exactly the best places to look for information but having came in late to the Undertale fandom in 2019, a lot of things came and went between that time so I took some things I found with a grain of salt unless I saw content that came straight from the creator themselves. Plus, tumblr's search function is wonky af lol so it made finding things hard

It is nice to see though that Rahaf pretty much went "f*ck it, go wild, anything and everything is cannon lol" because that makes me feel so much better when it comes to portraying Killer.

I don't know a lot of what is and isnt cannon when it comes to the different undertale aus and I do my best to research what I can because I like to be as accurate as possible sometimes when depicting characters.

Can you explain the power scales between reader and the skeleton characters? Like how powerful is she? Is she more powerful than most of the sans, some of the papyrus’ or is G and Green stronger? And what about the ones outside of her own universe (Ink, Dream etc), who is she on par with? And what are her powers; will we get to see them in future chapters? I apologize for the long ask, but this question was haunting me haha :]

Well, let's start with before the incident/plot twist that I know blew everyone's minds when I made that announcement lol.

So being that she's human already gives her an advantage over the skeletons since it is cannon that humans are stronger than monsters. Add in the fact that Reader also knows magic gives her an even greater advantage in a fight. Moreover, she had a high level of LV, which made her magic attacks pack even more of a punch than usual. But what made her practically OP was that she had an ability to copy any magic she came into contact with. What kind of magic? A large variety, that's for sure. It's amazing what humans get right every now and again regarding magic in their tv shows. The only magic she doesn't know is monster magic, though it's something she does wish to learn about.

Her power is what made her so desirable to Nightmare once he found out about her as he wanted that kind of power working for him. Nowhere in the multiverse has he seen or heard of such a being of such power that rivaled his own, or, dare he say, surpassed his own. This being could actually bring an end to his practically immortal life if she knew the right kind of magic.

Now lets talk about Reader after the incident. She still knows magic but with her stats having been reset to basically zero, they're not all that powerful and she doesn't have the stamina like she used to in order to perform it. It's why she gets trained by G and Green as those two are much more qualified to be teachers of magic and the soul than the others. In her current state she'd easily be able to get picked off, unable to defend herself. Will you ever see her use her magic skills in the future? Of course, but she has a lot of training to do if she's to use them without bringing her body strain

Just realizing how socially inept reader is in NOTU. Like bro is so awkward and she won’t even notice it sometimes- in certain chapters obviously. (Even in the other stories too, now that I realize it!) She could literally be in danger (and aware of it) but the real deal is how monster biology/magic works 😭😭

Like LETS STOP FOCUSING ON HOW KILLER’s EMOTIONS FUNCTION WHILE HE HAS A KNIFE TO OUR NECK, SAVE YOURSELF GURL????!!!

Okay look to be fair! NOT U reader is SUPPOSED to act like that! Her whole life whenever she was in a dangerous situation she thought nothing of it because she had magic and was stronger than anyone who crossed her path. Being held at knife point by Killer didn't seem as threatening as it should've been to her because she knew she could easily beat his ass 😂

As for being awkward or clueless in other situations, can you blame her? She had no friends, she chose not to make friends, she thought they would interfere with her plans, she was always on the move and never stayed in one spot for long until she came to the city. Her only other interaction with people was when she was interacting with her coworkers doing whatever odd job she had at the time to make some money and that was it.

But no worries now, she'll soon start to figure things out herself :)

Is there anything you’re excited writing about for NOTU? Like is it a romantic scene, is it awkward, a fight, new places, any new characters from the game or any open world (like family) or anything outside of the monsters?

Lol just kidding... Kinda.

I say kinda because it would be nice to actually finish off a story I've made. But other than that, one thing I am looking forward to are the tense and distressing situations that are to come :)

My only gripe is that I hope I'm actually able to convey such emotions though through text >u>"" But I'll try my best!

Also, I've been thinking of maybe making a side project for NOT U? Not another story like a sequel or anything but something that would just be nothing but filler chapters talking about Reader's life after the end up to a certain point ie any dates or adventures she would've gone on with the bois, ya know? Because unfortunately all of that isn't really gonna be in the main story but it's something I still want to write out.

Update 2: So I learned that there is a way to change font sizes in works but it involves creating a "work skin" and a bunch of computer coding and I'm not gonna take the time to figure that complicated stuff out sooooo yeah

SO!

First thing's first! The voting is now over! Thank you so SO much to everyone who participated! It really made my heart swell! Watching it all happen was like a rollercoaster! For a long while "The Island Of Monsters" was in first place but then BAM! "Not Of This Universe" came in and stole first place! So it will be the next fic to be updated!

Now for the second thing. I got good news and bad news. The bad news is that I have a trip in the month of June to visit family that will delay the update of NOT U for the month and will likely be updated in the beginning of July.

The good news though is that come July, NOT U won't be the only fic to get an update! Yes it won the poll and will receive a multi-chapter update but to make up for the lack of content for June I plan to do another mass one chapter update for my other fics that are included in the polls!

Don't worry guys, it won't burn me out and I'm taking good care of myself. I wouldn't have come to this conclusion if I didn't think I couldn't handle it. >wob

Seeing that recent q&a got me thinking what would the skelebros look like with their magic ecto-skin (and I mean mostly the sans) 😮‍💨😭

Also, how has your day been? I’m currently listening to No. 1 Party Anthem by the Arctic Monkeys, and it makes me feel like I’m dancing with classic sans. Idk I’m a little embarrassed (and cringey just confessing this) but oh well! Remember to drink water!

Don't be embarrassed! We'll be cringe together! Because I also imagine certain skeleies when listening to certain songs! Prime example as of late is Sugar by Maroon 5. Every time I hear it I can't help but think of the Lust bros singing it to me while they're on a stage because it feels like a very them song! >w< Another song is Steal The Show by Lauv (it's also a song in the Disney movie "Elemental") and it totally gives me G!Sans vibes! Both in singing and dancing along! >//w//<

Anyway, you asked about what the bodies of the boys would look like and, well,

As someone who doesn't understand why people think pecs and six packs and bulging muscles are attractive, I actually find them disturbing, I like to think of the Papyrus' just having a healthy body. And since they're tall and lanky they're obviously on the slim side and they don't need muscles to show off how strong they are.

As for the Sans', well, they're chubby bois but not too chubby. A healthy chubby. Of course they could also be on the slim side with a bit of a belly or maybe they're also slim as well, it just depends on a handful of factors, same with the Papyrus'.

But I'm not yucking anybody's yum. You can like what you like, have the boys look, speak and act however you want. After all, this is all just for our own entertainment based on our own personal preferences. The kind of boys I make are based on my preferences and what I feel would fit them in the moment and if people like them as well then hey, thanks for liking them. >wob

Hello Author!! I wanted to ask, what are your canon heights for all the Sans and Papyrus alternates in all your fics? Are they shorter, taller? Any height difference between the sans alternates and papyrus alternates? And any distinct facial features for the sans that sets them apart (like gap tooth, acne, dimple, etc…)?

Gosh my headcannon for these things... hmmm

(Incoming, this is a long one folks)

That's hard to answer honestly because when I write my fics I don't actually put down how tall the reader is and when I describe the heights of the Sans' it all just depends on what height I think fits the most for the fic. Usually he's slightly taller than the reader but sometimes he's equal height or slightly shorter.

Although, I am very biased when it comes to a few AUs. Unless I state otherwise in a fic, Swap!Sans (as well as Swapfell/Fellswap) will always be slightly shorter than the reader, between a few inches to a foot max, and Horror!Sans will always be a big boi. Something about Horror being a freaking bear of a skeleton just scratches my brain in the right place. His height usually varies between 3ft-5ft taller than the reader 😅 As for the Swap variants, it is actually cannon that Swap!Sans is a short fella and I've always liked that for some reason so I try sticking to it, and for Swapfell/Fellswap, well... I love writing me a small angy guy with a god complex :)

Now as for the Papyrus', they're always a couple feet taller than the reader, doesn't matter who they are. Unless it's Horror!Papyrus. Can't have a big Horror!Sans without having a big Horror!Papyrus.

Anyway, I do this so that I can leave some things to the reading person's imagination based on their own height.

As for having any distinct features, no, not really? I mean, their eyelights are all different colors but that's probably something everyone writes at some point. Also sometimes with the harsher AUs, I depict those guys having deep knicks and cuts on their bones, like scars, or sometimes some of their bones would just be missing small chunks.

Now as for their VOICES, I have a handful that I can speak for that have people I can point to and go "That person." One of them is Error!Sans. I don't care who you are, AudioSpawn has the PERFECT Error voice, hands down. Now I don't know if you know about a little dating sim game in the works called Bonely Hearts Club but the people who voice everyone in it I absolutely adore. Love their voices and almost every one of them is cannon to me. The only ones who aren't are Ash and Poplar (Horror!Sans and Paps) but that's because of personal preference. No hate to the guys, love the voices still but just not my cup of tea.

Now the next couple I'm upset about because the channel who used to fandub Underverse no longer exist on YouTube but whoever fandubbed Killer!Sans, Fresh!Sans and Nightmare were my absolute favs. If you don't know what I'm talking about it's fine. Currently though, Killer's voice has been replaced by CJDoesVA on YouTube. He does a GREAT Killer voice as well as other impressions.

Unfortunately for the rest I cannot give examples to what I think they sound like because sometimes the voices I'm thinking of just don't exist. Accents on the other hand I can do.

Now I know I said CJDoesVA makes a great Killer!Sans voice but sometimes it's not his voice that rings in my head and that's okay. When I think about the different voice, this Killer has a bit of an English(British?) accent. Don't know why, it just seems to fit him for me.

Now I don't think you can call it an accent, more of a tone of voice, but Lust!Sans and Lust!Paps, to me, will always have a bit of femininity to their voice. They sound... lighter than the others if I was to give it a word.

This was fun to write out! I hope this gives you some idea of what goes on in my head when coming up with and writing my fics!
