The fact that Mia mentioned to Liam his other option would be running away with Ruby to live in the woods, have a litter of kids and build them treehouses, to which he responds, “that sounds nice”. Then he actually did it!

all due respect but people who get to the end of assassin's fate and are like "sorry was I supposed to know that kettricken had romantic feelings for fitz, that came out of nowhere" make me feel insane like??? did you read different books than me??? we're talking about miss kettricken "I would not disdain you" farseer here. (if you can read that scene alone and come away thinking she feels nothing romantic for him I genuinely don't know how to help you.) someone who shared a bed with fitz and kissed him on the mouth multiple times. who brought her son (whose conception she'd known about for YEARS??? don't get me started on that) to his sickbed night after night and told the story of fitz's whole life??? who started weeping "as if verity himself were walking toward her" when they finally acknowledged fitz at court???
like yes of course fitz and beloved reign supreme over rote ships as well they should but please be serious!!!!!!!

The Fool: Alright, this weekend’s safety brief; don’t add to the population, don’t subtract from the population, don’t end up in the hospital, newspaper or jail. If you end up in jail, establish dominance quickly.
Fitz: This weekend’s to do list, got it!

i am 100% sure that the day after rubiam built some shelves cole saw a hickey or something on liam and drilled him about it for like half an hour and liam just sat like “tHIS ISNT YOUR BUSINESS PLS STOP” and cole was like “ITS MY BUSINESS IF IM GONNA BE AN UNCLE” and liam was just like “killmekillmekillmekillme please if there’s any sort of merciful god”

CW ADAPTATION TREATMENT
so recently I’ve been thinking about a book series I read back in middle school called, An Unfortunate Fairy Tale by Chanda Hahn. It’s a really fun story and incredibly tropey and cheesy. As I get older though, it would be interesting to see it adapted into something that allows it to be a little darker and let’s the characters act like teenagers. It then hits me that CW adaptations have this down to a science and would go nuts if they had this story in their hands.
1. Small town, something much larger than anyone realizes happening behind the scenes.
2. Plot mixes urban fantasy adventure and teen drama. Including nonsensical love triangle.
3. Broody male lead foil to Boy Scout male lead. Unpopular artist and popular socialite best friend relationship.
C’mon! This is a gold mine for a network like the CW.
Is there anything you want to see receive the CW adaptation treatment?

Kettricken: So, how many children do you have?
Fitz : *stumped*
Kettricken: How-
Fitz: Biologically, legally, or spiritually, cause those are 3 different answers.

Ok, so I’m currently about halfway through Assassin’s Quest and I already love Kettle. Still, like imagine how wild it must be to not only realize you’re traveling with the Farseer Bastard, but not now you’re traveling with one half of the White Prophet and Catalytic duo. I wonder if she’ll get the chance to meet the Fool?

Why do I love the character little imperfections bring to something? To me shoes look better when they’re creased, and scuffed, and stained. Chipped nail polish always puts a smile on my face, pills on someone’s favorite sweatshirt make it look so much better for some reason. I think I love cause they’re small reminders that life is better when it’s lived and not something perfect.

Three things about literary history:
1. Literacy among the working class has historically been a lot more common than your high school textbooks would have one believe, and people have always had strong opinions about fictional characters.
2. The notion of a literary canon is not, as is sometimes claimed, an artefact of modern intellectual property laws. Stupid arguments about literary canon are nearly as old as the medium; the critical difference is that prior to modern IP law, the notion of literary canon was typically approached as one of merits rather than one of rights: i.e., a question of which works ought to be considered part of the “official” version of a particular character’s story, for reasons ranging from artistry, to internal consistency, to moral correctness. This wouldn’t necessarily boil down to the works of any one author; for example, one might include the works of multiple authors, or some but not all of a particular author’s works, and anonymous or pseudonymous works were often central to the debate.
3. As the preceding point suggests, the curative approach to appreciating literature is by no means a new thing, the excesses of contemporary fandom notwithstanding. Indeed, contemporary fandom might be considered a relative mild example of the type; there are recorded cases of people literally fighting to the death – with actual swords – over the merits of a particular work’s inclusion in a particular literary canon. Like, imagine getting so heated about whether The Rise of Skywalker should be considered part of the Star Wars canon on its merits that you straight up cut a dude’s head off.

Just realized that both coming out day and indigenous peoples day are on the 11th this year so here's your reminder from your local queer native to not let Indigenous Peoples Day get ignored and forgotten this year. Support natives even if they're not queer this october 11th, and don't let white + colonized narratives be the main focus of the day.
