PERSONALITY:

Mary Jane is an empathetic and understanding person, willing to give the benefit of the doubt to friends and take the time to wrap her head around something. She is described as exuberant, hard-working, trustworthy, and fun. Mary Jane is a master of masking her pain. If you manage to pierce her sunny exterior, you’ll discover a deeply troubled and good woman. Mary Jane’s unhappy childhood has left her unsure of the existence of happy endings. This attitude precludes her from committing to serious relationships that might tie her down with the exception of a certain someone that has shown her light at the end of a dark tunnel if she ever choses to go after it. Afraid of stagnation, but unsure of where to go, Mary Jane hides her pain beneath a joke and a smile. As she gets older, she is still the go-to party girl but is slowly becoming the mom friend.

Early Life

Mary-Jane Watson or MJ as she prefers to go by, grew up in an abusive household in Queens, New York. Mary Jane’s father is a struggling writer and professor who took out his failed professional ambitions on his family. Desperate to put some distance between herself and her miserable home life, Mary Jane focused on becoming popular at school, and would spend much of her time as possible at parties and dating. She even starts doing plays in school that fuels a dream of becoming an actress. Though you could only live for so long in a fantasy when reality hits. Living in the same abusive household she’s always lived in, with the same abusive father she’s always lived with took its toll on her until she met others who helped make things better. 

Adult Life - Currently

Despite being a party girl and seeming as if she didn’t care about school, which she actually did, she got into NYU. After graduating from highschool, Mary Jane felt that the end was finally in sight — moving out from her home and starting her own life, free of her father’s oppressive influence. She took on multiple jobs to pay for an apartment and tuition knowing it was going to be alot of work and take alot of time. She started off majoring in theatre, with hopes of become an actress but after having failing auditions or getting roles she doesn’t like a change was needed. She ends up choosing Communication after taking a class and realizing how good she is at. Flash forward and Mary-Jane is now Twenty-Three. Fresh out of college after getting her degree, she now works as an intern at Stark Industries in their Public Relations Department doing what she can to help maintain the image of both the company, one Tony Stark, and to a degree the Avengers in good standing with people. She still parties, dates, while trying to be an adult.
