Title: Till We had Faces by C.S Lewis
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My thoughts: I was really intrigued by the fact that C.S. Lewis had written a love story between mortals and demigods. It does kind of follow a similar suit to the Chronicles of Narnia if you choose to look at it from a Christian/religious stand point.
Additionally, I thought that Lewis chose an interesting narrative for this story. The narrator is a cousin to a mortal who falls in love with this unseen demigod. This narration is very observant and cautious which drives the plot even more.
The reason I gave it 3.5 stars is because there were some moments where I was confused about what I was reading, and honestly conflicted about how the book ended. Overall, it was a good story.

The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
My thoughts: I thought this book was eloquently written. I love how Hannah writes the progression of the mother’s adult life and how she struggles in her daughter's relationship. The book was touching, however, the progression of the book throughout the storyline was a little slow for my liking, but it was so worth it. Definitely give this book a read if you like stories about adventure, mother/daughter dynamics, romance, and fun!

One of my favorite book series was The Selection by Kiera Cass. My brother, who works in the military and I don't get to see often, gave it to me when I was in middle school for Christmas. Reading the book series gave me an escape. Since reading that series for the first time, I have returned to the series multiple times to remember the small bits of joy that the series gave me during a hard time in my life.
