*grabbing you lovingly by the face* Listen. Listen to me. Stolas has lost everything. There’s a very real possibility he’s act pretty unlikable for a little bit from an audience perspective. Please remember this isn’t entitled rich kid not getting that pony he wants. This is a nearly 40-year-old man getting kicked out of his cult and shoved into a neighborhood where stepping outside means he will never get a rest from constant insults and abuse. He has no contact with his child. He has been physically pushed to his limit by having his powers pulled out of his body (which has been used as a rape allegory by other stories, and though I don’t think that’s what SpindleHorse is going for, it still fits in my post). He has not a penny to his name when just hours ago, he has never even had to consider what making a budget would look like.

Listen. Listen to me. We may see sides of Stolas that are ugly. Please do not write essays about how he’s a spoiled brat who’s just upset he lost his mansion. Please do not post think pieces about how you hate him now, actually. Please remember that people who have been through awful trauma and aren’t perfect victims are watching you react to his circumstances.
