I need to get a better posting schedule for this blog - sorry, I'll work on that. Anyway, this morning I am virtually attending CanvaCreate2023 and you should check it out.

Currently on my to-read pile is Tarot for Writers by Corrine Kenner. I haven't really used a Tarot deck for divination since my early 20s, but I tend to accumulate them anyway. More recently, I've been aware that divination with Tarot may be appropriation, but I'm still drawn to the symbolism - and the new life of that symbolism in each deck. I'd rather find something creative to do with all these interesting works of art in my library.

So, character creation. I go through periods when I can invent new characters I want to play just fine, but then there are other times when I absolutely cannot stand the process. Here are some helpful resources.

I joke light-heartedly about how I couldn't post any of my work a decade ago, and while there are many reasons for that, I also realize that my experience LARPing changed my outlook on creative expression significantly

Truly, it boils down to "having a supportive and creative community to share with will help you improve and become more confident in your work"

But I like to think that it's also a healthy dose of "I've run through the woods at 3am crafting angsty and genuine stories with like 20 other people who also were on Deviantart in 2006"

I made some stickers of the clan symbols with a special twist! They all have different effect foils:

Ventrue and Toreador are glossy with glittery blood.

Malkavian is a matte finish with a reflective mirror surface.

Brujah is matte with a holographic effect.
