Sunflowers and Smoke🌻

Warnings: swearing and a mini make out session, besides that nothing really~ 🌻 (based off a mood board and AU I created)

The first day you started work at the local flower shop you were instantly drawn to Minhyuk. His friendly and welcoming atmosphere helping you adapt to your new workspace easily. Since college had started you were drowning, with your roommate moving out it left you with nothing but more bills to pay. Your mother recommended the old flower shop on the corner and you didn’t see why it wouldn’t be a good idea. Until the first day..

You didn’t realize how busy the store actually was, people coming in and out regularly. You envied the dark haired boy who instantly got along with customers. You wrapped up the nicely arranged bouquet you had just been working on in a blue ribbon, a fake smile on your face. “Have a nice day, sir.” You spoke sweetly.

The day went by quickly, people coming in and out, buying pretty flowers for those they loved. As the last customer walked out you let out a big sigh, grabbing the broom from the work room and sweeping the floor.

Days went by like this, growing closer to Minhyuk and occasionally going out together after work. Between school and your job you had no time for any other friends besides him, and you could happily say you didn’t need any. You had learned a lot about him, like how he dropped out last semester because school became too much, or how he smiles cutely at small children when they come into the store usually giving them a treat when they left. Minhyuk was a wonderful person through and through. And that’s how it started, the dreadful feelings of butterflies you had when he smiled and how your heart fluttered when he called your name. It was all too much. He was your bestfriend but you wanted- no needed him to be more.

After sweeping the up the shop you decided to ask Minhyuk out for some food, knowing that you both were pretty hungry. “Hyukkie!!” You called out into the store, waiting impatiently for a reply, your tummy grumbling in annoyance. You knew if he wasn’t in here he had to be out back, throwing away today’s garbage. When you opened the heavy industrial door your eyes widened. There was your sweet Minhyuk, cigarette between his lips and phone in hand. “Yah!! Are you trying to kill your self?” You asked, voice raising as you paced over to him.

After all this time you spent knowing eachother, you had no idea he smoked. You were upset. You grabbed the cigarette from his mouth and threw it on the ground stomping on it. “I can’t believe you! There are a number of reasons why you shouldn’t smoke, number one; IT FUCKING KILLS PEOPLE. AND TWO; CANCER OF THE LUNGS AND GUMS. AND THREE; UM DO YOU WANNA FUCKING DIE EARLIER?” You yelled into the alley way, smacking the male in the head when you seen that stupid little grin on his face. “What?!” You asked rudely, “you’re just-“ he chuckled, “really freakin cute when you’re yelling!” He grabbed your cheeks and squished them, smiling that beautiful bright smile of his. You stared up at him, love in your eyes because you knew that nothing could get better than hearing his cute laugh and seeing his smile. “What?” He asked, a cute tilt to his head. “Iloveyou!” You blurted quickly, almost regretting your actions but then thanking your self when you were suddenly pulled into a deep kiss. You stayed like that for a while, pulling away before the kiss could deepen. “I love you too, my sunflower.”

(I dunno what gum has to do with this story but 😊 maybe he quits smoking by chewing gum.. I dunno use your imagination. Anyways thank you again for reading this, please leave feedback so I can improve my writing 🌻)
