just thinking about his dark materials and how lyra can read the golden compass perfectly as a child, but as she gains more experience — as she truly experiences the world and what it means to live and lose — her natural, effortless interpretation of the compass fades away. it’s not that she can’t read it, it’s that the pure childlike interpretation of it is buried under all these adult experiences. and how she has to then teach herself how to do it all over again, but this time not through instinct but study and diligence and critical thought. and how that’s a good thing because it means she actually understands it more deeply.

What I really like about 'High Potential' (besides Kaitlin Olson getting the spotlight) is it's finally a "genius" and/or crime-solving character who doesn't act like a cold, rude asshole. Well, unless she's confronting a cold, rude asshole. She's affected by crime scenes and upset families instead of being apathetic or annoyed.

It's not that hard to escape the strict Sherlock model. It shouldn't be this rare.

I love High Potential as a whole but especially for their portrayal of family.

Morgan having such a healthy relationship with her ex (Ludo, I love you so much), him being there for her and the kids, and loving all three kids equally is so refreshing to see.

They could've easily gone the "my ex is a douche" route but they didn't. They give us all these wholesome family scenes every week.

Kids on the internet now a days are literally wild.. like when I was 12 and on the internet, i was lying out my asshole I was telling people about my kids and my wife. I was talking to them about taxes and how I miss my college days.....now 12 year Olds are out here telling their AGE?!?! OR REAL NAME?!??! I was literally fucking Garry that worked at staples and had 2 children for like 4 years...

honestly I do think a Padmé who was actually principled and courageous would have been a fantastic character if they’d managed to write her that way but part of me really does love the mess of ‘I can fix him’ living-in-a-barbie-dreamhouse-fantasyland Padmé we actually end up with when all the pieces of her character that we actually got are cobbled together

listen i respect the fact that darth vader is really evil, in every way, almost all of the time. but i'm going to be real with you, i feel very bad for him because under that armor he has necrotic skin that is rotting and he is on chemicals outside of his knowledge or control, and his boss does not give him anesthetic for medical procedures that involve spinal surgery and he gets electrocuted regularly by that boss. i am very worried about him and i think the sepsis is killing what is left of his brain cells. that is my poor little wheeze wheeze, and i understand that he has killed a lot of jedi babies but i think his liver is about to explode from all the stress it is under. i care a lot about darth vader's many lung infections and comparatively little for the jedi babies. i hope this helps.
