So I went to a festival yesterday and saw these super cute crochet figures like omg!!

I’m just wondering how they get their stitches so pretty and flat?? Like is it just like they’re crocheting super tight or maybe they flip it inside out? The stitches are so square so they sit snug next to each other and it’s so satisfying to look at. Like look at the bulbasaur mimikyu between the eyes. The stitches align like a beautiful grid like pleaseeee does anyone know how to achieve that. Is it even crochet??

I hate how my want to draw solely depends on me being active in a fandom. Like I can’t just draw for myself, there’s nothing I wanna draw that’s not fan art.
