One reason that I’m shipping Lokius SO HARD is this ship delivers the most heart warming message that no matter how unloveable you think you are, there’s still a chance you can find someone to love you. When you meet the right person, when you treat them with genuinity, it can lead to great things and it changes everything.

This is a time our generation widely consider love as a fairy tale for the immatures. But Lokius actually shows what a mature and healthy love is like and how wonderful it can be. The way they look into each other’s eyes makes me shed tears because it’s so beautiful. It’s something I thought was impossible. Their story made me have faith in love itself again and again.

I still can’t get over it that, in s1e1 Mobius said to Loki I can’t offer you redemption, but maybe I can offer you something better. And he did. He wasn’t there to just save Loki. He was there to love them. And that love, that love from a just-some-dude heals a god’s traumatized heart, made them see the potential in themselves, and eventually saves the whole univers. All these things are possible because the mortal loves and sees the god.

I’m astonished, even shocked, every time think of the whole story. I really need this. This is something I will hold on to in the darkest days of my life. And this is why I love them so much with every single cell in my body. I love them so much.

a lonely black cat with trust issues

(who has to learn that sometimes it's okay to accept help)

a kind capybara that's happy to share in its luck

(who portrays how even the most steady presence in your life might need a hand once in a while)

a good dog that just wants to be friends

(who has to learn that sometimes making real friends means learning how not to follow bad ones)

a heroic secretarybird that faces bullies for a stranger

(who shows how sometimes constantly fighting for the right thing can leave one exhausted to the bone)

and a kleptomaniac lemur that just wants to stare at its reflection

(who learns how to let go of the things that don't matter and grab hold of the people who do)

not to talk about flow again, but the thing is, a lot of people talk about independent film making and its importance etc, but it's hard to get more independent than flow this year

not only because it was made with a free and open source software anyone can use, not only because it beat competitors from major studios with an average of 3% of the budget they had, not only because it represented a country that had never won an oscar before, not only because it didn't have any star power involved, not only because it didn't come from a filmmaker with past history, not only because it was made by a small team...

but also because it's an animated movie

animators often get the short end of the stick in the entertainment industry and, for the past years, it was starting to look as if the only way to make an animated project happen was to sell your soul to a major studio and see your work transformed into what they need and how they want it marketed

especially for movies from outside the US, from non-English speaking countries, where insanely talented animators tend to be used as freelance cheap labor for major US studios or have to adapt as much as possible to fit into their market in order to find work

passion projects for animation seemed to only be reserved to the shorts category, or needed to be as high brow as humanly possible to be perceived as "high art" to be valued and, even in the spaces of the industry dedicated to the genre, the way in which awards are distributed are a poor reflection of the vast work animators do

it's major for this film to win awards, let alone the oscar, an award which is notably judged badly for animation and often prefers the marketable easy way out of voting rather than genuine interest

this movie used a resource that is open to anyone and, with good storytelling, made an oscar winning film

in a world in which art is constantly being attacked by capitalist greed, I'm happy that a movie with heart and little resources could do something like this, whether or not people care about the oscars anymore

If I had a nickel for every movie that came out in the past year or so, that I innocently went into, thinking it was going to be a fun romp, only for it to end with the parental figure stopping their depressed daughter from committing suicide by reaching out to her, both physically and emotionally, before reconciling in a tearful embrace, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but I still bawled twice...

I don't think I've ever truly been myself and have someone love me for it. At every truly important juncture in my life, I find myself alone, completely. Laying myself bare and as a consequence ending up shivering alone in the cold seems to be my fate, time and time again.

My parents raised an independent daughter, then forgot to coexist with her.

My friends relied on the therapist good listener friend, then forgot to help when she needed it for once.

My peers called for a healthier, fairer, leader, then disrespected and demeaned her her entire tenure.

Taking me for granted seems to be all that people do around me. All this effort I put in love and understanding, making an effort to broaden my interests, my horizons for more time with my loved ones. Only for my own favorite movie screening becoming a party of one.

I'm tolerated at best, the only option left at best, just someone who's there and existing at best.

Nobody will truly care when I'm gone.

Unfortunately, my sense of responsibility supercedes my lack of a will to live.

I'll have to make something of this horrible miserable life and find satisfaction with what I have.

Learn to enjoy my solitude cause I can't bear the loneliness but it's my destiny regardless.

Saaaame! I only watched it now cause S2 hype is up and I needed something to just watch casually but I got totallyyyy HOOKED?!? Binged it in ONE WHOLE NIGHT!!!?!? I only saw disdain for this show online but I really did enjoy it??? A lot actually. I'm glad I binged it, very very satisfied. Even more glad S2 is here and really can't wait for more wholesomeness ✨🛐

i honestly loved xo, kitty SO MUCH more then i thought that i would but like i don’t know which characters i ship more. kitty and yuri are really cute!! yuri and juliana are so adorable!! kitty and dae. kitty and minho are really sweet and fun together!! q and florian are really cute even with everything going on at the end and also the platonic relationships are sooo awesome too!! like kitty and q were so fun and kitty and alex had like an amazing sibling vibe going on and dae and yuri were so sweet i did not think that i would like this show that much
