i reminisce you in colour, like a fresh bouquet of flowers. something like a sunshine daisy on a warm day, this is how i think of you.

your voice dancing down the hallways of my mind muffled and muted, but reverberating just the same your laughter echoed in mine. silently seeing you smile at me, i wonder why something just out of reach.

tiny ocean waves clamouring in the kitchen sink a cold wind murmurs against my cheek and the mist rolls in over my eyes like a gossamer memory, this is how i think of you.

year of the dragon, element of wood ~ 🐉🌿

so . . . my dragon is a little different. furuba (fruits basket) was my first manga (and my favourite one). the premise is based around the zodiac, and the dragon zodiac is actually a seahorse. hatori has a harrowing and heartbreaking story line, so his strength and hope is ever the more inspiring. the colour story is inspired by porcelain, and the setting is . . . well, the woods lol

i hope that the new year can bring us tranquil prosperity, even when it looks deeply grim. and i hope to overcome my tumultuous nihilism and remain hopeful about the future. so, happy new year.

the 2024 moonchu calendar is releasing tomorrow, tuesday at 7pm (EST). comprised of twelve 4"x6" prints of crisp, high quality and vibrant original illustrations (plus cover & end pages), with full moon monthly gold embellishments. everything is handmade and unique by me, even down to the numbers! you may choose the loose calendar, and/or add-on a special, custom stand. calendar starts in february 2024 and ends january 2025.

i always create new paintings for the calendar to keep it fresh! some of these will release as prints in a few months.

from the mist particled into view a fluffy little lavender terrain.

the sky looked like one of those drinks you'd enjoy in a happy and warm place, though it was chilly, here. powdered sugar clouds revealed several planetary orbs suspended above plum, sloping mountaintops.

🍊 tangerine train ride 🌼 let's go on a train ride together one last time forever. 🧡 thus started my love of animal crossing, imbued by the memory of you. i don't think about you as much as i used to, and it feels rly bad inside to admit that. but i would give it all up to be playing animal crossing with you again 🌼🌼🌼 prints available here.
