When I was in high school my freshman year history teacher showed the class an old documentary (I don’t remember the name) about Iran, from sometime in the 90s, in which the American host toured the country and talked about its history and culture and spent time interviewing his Iranian hosts. It was a gorgeous film and it made me want to visit the country very badly. Two years later, for my English class, I read an Iranian lit professor’s memoir (Reading Lolita in Tehran) about the revolution and the secret literature classes she held for girls who could no longer go to university. Girls my age, reading books I was also reading at that point in time.

And this is kind of irrelevant to anything because I’m just one person etc whatever, but point being—for what it’s worth—Iran is not my enemy and it never has been and it never will be, and it isn’t yours either

I owe about $1600 for rent (about 3 or 4 months of payment owed) and unfortunately I do not have that money right now and have over 40 commissions on my plate. Due to my cat's vet bills i had to take out all the funds i saved up to pay for it.

PLEASE help me achieve my goal, my job isn't enough at all to cover it.
