Post 100 & Late Anniversary

Hey guys! I didn't want to waste my 100th post letting you know something was coming so apologies for the wait. I wanted to make it an extra special one, and to me, that meant original content, so here you have it. Super rough but I figured it'd have to do, before it hit two years. It's essentially a recreation of the kiss scene in Karate Kid (2010) but it takes place in the New Moon Theater.

Moonlane in a nutshell

I've been reading MysteryWriter2187's One Way Left to Go for the Moonlane pairing but it actually shares a few similarities to what I had in mind for the plot of the next SING installment. A big difference, however, is that I don't think Buster would go to the extent of sabotaging one of his theater kids. I do think he would get overly protective of them possibly leaving, though, which is how I planned to stage a huge argument between Buster and Suki that's central to my story's plot.

As a previous talent scout, other animals start reaching out to her about getting some of Moon's troupe members lent out to them for their shows. She thinks it's a great opportunity for them but he has a hard time accepting the possibility of a separation.

I don't know how he did it, but Uncle Sam the Man read my mind. Just today, while I was on a walk, I imagined what it would be like for Buster and Suki to raise a child together. Granted, I always thought of them as the type of couple who's happy with just each other for family. Anyways, this random idea popped into my head that if they were to have a kid, it would be a boy saluki, and Buster would be able to make a big deal later in life how he was only able to carry his son for a few precious weeks as a puppy (because obviously he'd grow bigger than his koala dad very quickly).

Catchphrase

If anyone's read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, then you know Rudy would always ask Liesel “How about a kiss, Saumensch?” Buster's version is constantly asking "Am I good enough yet?" after he does something good to get Suki to start going out with him.

Canon

I love the moonlane ship and truly believe they were hinting at it in SING 2. However, I believe hinting is the closest it will get (as in no out right marriage or intimacy on screen, which I'd totally be okay with actually). Specifically a scene like this will take place at the end of SING 3.

"And we're all going to make her feel welcome," he said, an edge to his voice. The crew eyed each other wearily and tailed him to his office. "Are you sure about this, Mr. Moon?," asked Rosita. "Honestly, not entirely," he replied, letting out a breath, "but after the departure of our dear Ms. Crawly, I needed a new assistant and she showed up." "And you didn't find that at all suspicious?" Ash asked, pushing her way to the front. "While I'm still weary of anyone from Redshore" "Oi" came a disgruntled voice from the back. "Sorry, Nooshy, and most of all her" his eyes narrowed, "she met all the qualifications. From what she tells me, she resigned the night of his arrest, so I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and I ask that you do as well," Buster finished, swiveling his chair back to face his desktop. This was their boss that they'd grown to adore and would gladly follow to the ends of the Earth and he was dismissing them without the chance to brook an argument. Well of course they'd listen, but they didn't have to be happy about it. "Do you think she knows we called her a jerk?," Ash asked Gunter on their way down the stairs, both of them snickering at the memory only to meet said saluki at the foot of them.

Author's Note: The cast is not as quick to accept the talent scout that said they weren't good enough as Buster is. Although, he also has struggles as you will see.
