if anyone could use one word to describe jax, it was trouble. and if anyone could use a word to describe you, it was mischief. but the two of you together? it was chaos.

but that was the thing about you. you didn't cry or scold him. you didn't avoid or glare. you didn't abstract no, you would prank him back.

he didn't know how to feel about that.

last week jax put something in your room. and so, today, you smirked triumphantly as you left his, twirling a key around your fingers.

after a typically exhausting adventure, jax creaked his door open and trudged to his bed. narrowing his eyes, he thought, why was there a lump under his pillow? cautiously lifting his pillow, he recoiled after seeing what was under it. "$#!@!" of course you left corn under his pillow. along with a lovely note in your handwriting, saying, "the tooth fairy doesn't exist here, but nightmares still do."

annoyed by the fact that he can't sleep on his corn-pillow and amused by your audacity, he marched up to your room and knocked on your door. why didn't he use the key, you ask? well, you had stolen it when you went into his room.

he had to hold back laughter when you opened your door with the most oblivious expression he had ever seen. "oh. jax. i wasn't expecting you. come in." you politely stepped aside, watching him clench his fists and step into your room. without warning, he picked you up and put you in a light chokehold. "I KNOW IT WAS YOU!" "ack-- JAX PUT ME DOWN!" you gasped out between your laughs. 'ADMIT IT!" his arm tightened around your neck, not enough to hurt or cut off your breathing, but enough for you to feel it. you only laughed harder. he joined in too.

"I ADMIT NOTHING!" you wheezed out. "[name]-" his grip loosened on you as he laughed. genuine laughter, from both of you.

he was about to reprimand you further, only to be cut off by a knock echoing through the door. "[name], caine called all of us for a meeting! tell jax the same thing if he's in there with you." ragatha's voice sounded out, loud enough for you to hear through the door.

as the sound of her footsteps faded, jax let go of you and stuck his arm out to the door. "ladies first~"

you, suspecting something, cautiously stepped forward. seeing that he was just standing there, you made your way toward the door.

but he tripped you.

lazy days were your favorite. days where there were no adventures to worry about. no stress of caine popping out of nowhere with his obnoxious voice and giving everyone migraines. nope, not today. days like this were rare here in the digital circus, but the day was going, so you might as well embrace the peace while it lasts. and the peace did last, until your favorite periwinkle rabbit burst into your room with his yellow toothed grin and plopped onto your bed beside you. "seriously, jax? i was this close to falling asleep..." you whined, dragging your hands down your face. "don't be like that, doll!" he enthused. "what better way to spend your day than with your boyfriend?" "want me to start a list?" jax pouted at that, his lanky arms crossed over his chest. "wow, i see how it is..."

you just grinned back and closed your eyes again. you were once again disturbed by jax's gloved hand poking your side, as well as his loud whispering.

"hey. hey. hey. hey, [name]. hey. [name]. [name]. hey. PSSSSST. [name]!" "WHAT," you opened your eyes with great annoyance and turned your head to look at him. "do you want, jax?"

"i'm bored." he whispered, continuing to poke your side. he paused and looked down at his finger digging into your skin. "huh. no reaction?"

"why would i react to that?"

your boyfriend chuckled at how exasperated you sounded. "well are you not ticklish? you didn't even smile."

you decided to humor him.

"i am, just not there." you smirked as his fingers trailed to your stomach.

nothing.

they went higher, to your underarms.

nothing.

his face contorted with confusion and mild bewilderment as his hands went to your neck.

nothing.

"don't tell me you're ticklish on your feet?"

you shook your head, prompting jax to sigh in defeat. he took your hand. "i guess i'll never know," he kissed your palm with a shrug. you grit your teeth, clearing your throat. unfortunately for you, jax noticed your subtle reaction and the smile you struggled to bite back.

to test his theory, he traced small, oblivious circles on the flesh of your palm, his yellow eyes scanning your face for any reaction. sure enough, your hard glare melted into a wobbly smile as you tried to tug your hand away.

"your hand?" the amusement in your lover's voice was clear as day. "seriously? that's your tickle spot? your palm?" your attempts to escape were futile. jax's grip on your hand was brutal.

"okay, you found it, you jack[@#$]!" you giggled, trying to cover it up with a cough. "you can let g- OH MY GOD JAX KEEP GRINNING LIKE THAT AND I'LL-" you were cut off by your own laughter. kicking and using your other hand, he finally let you go.

"that's cute~" he chuckled, watching your face heat up with embarrassment as you struggled to catch your breath.

you just glared at him to the best of your abilites.

"alright, bunny boy, where's your tickle spot then?" his triumphant grin faltered, and that was all the confirmation you needed.
