so all this time ive been rocking the 2019 version of simpe but i just checked out the new version updated december 2024 and bruh??? These terrain editing tools????

the hours ive toiled away hex editing road tiles, fighting with sc4 and the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat... this is going to be such a game changer...

i also noticed this, not sure what it does exactly but intriguing for stories games enjoyers 👀

this version does come bundled with some external tools plastered with chris hatch's signature titty pinup ladies but simpe itself is titty-free now as far as i can tell lmao

EDIT: apparently it's not quite as titty-free as i thought dfkdjgkgk, the source code is full of horny nonsense although most of it doesn't seem to apply without chris hatch's other stuff installed. but there is some unnecessarily sexualized language in the new sim profile feature and some other places, it's pretty easy to ignore but maybe someone can figure out how to edit those strings...

[Dead Site Repository] - Looking for archives!

Hey everyone!

A semi-promotional post, on a feature not many knows about, but meant to be really useful—the Dead Site Repository!

💀What is the Dead Site Repository?

A simpler way to give old content a second chance at life!

Whether the original website is gone, the download links are broken, or the creator has retired and having many broken items, this is a place where those lost treasures can finally rest in peace—or be rediscovered. 😉

Why Simblr.cc's Repository?

I designed this with easier navigation in mind. While we’re all undoubtedly grateful for resources like SFS archives or Archive.org for preserving content, it can sometimes be a challenge to figure out what those items originally looked like.

And let’s not forget how tricky it can be to contribute your own content, especially if you happen to have that missing piece of a set!

One of the features I’m most proud of is that it’s fully collaborative! Meaning that you can add Files and Images to a site yourself too, even if someone else already made said collection.

Now with that out of the way...

🆘Help wanted!

Particularly, TS1, TS2, TS3, TS4, and TSM.

Whether it be sharing the page with other simmers, or your own contribution, any help will do! The mission of course being: Getting as many dead sites a "Rest in peace" they deserve, while also *technically* reviving them again.😉

📓What to do:

Creating a "Dead Site" Repository:

(If the site isn't in the 'dead sites' list yet) - Let me know via commenting on this post, or on the simblr discord the SITE NAME and, if possible, the URL. Optional, but If the site had a banner, or you made one for it, feel free to share that too!

Start a Collection. ... or update an existing collection! 😉

Each repository/dead site can have multiple games! However, make sure to tick the correct game when making a collection...

A Collection is sort of like a "set" or the "folder" of that content. Make sure of the following: If it's a Set, you use the set's name. If it is one item, you can title it that one content (i.e 'Ophelia hair'). If there's too much content to make a collection for, feel free to use “categories” instead. For example, if you have a bunch of hairs, just call them “Hairs” (EXAMPLE REPOSITORY).

However, please do at least attempt to sort them if possible! This will make it easier for people updating that collection! In the end, it's a community effort. 😉

🔍What sites are we looking for:

Sites in this case is a really broad term! But when I say 'Sites' I mean mostly:

Tumblr blogs

Blogspots/Blogs

Livejournals/dreamwidth/etc.

Original websites (Creator's original website)

Forum posts where the post/download is now missing.

...and when in doubt, feel free to ask!

There are a few criteria for the site to be considered 'dead'. I've already briefly mentioned, but for ease will mention here:

Sites of which the site is still online, but the creator is retired and now has broken CC links.

Sites that are no longer online/can't be reached (make sure this has been the case for a minimum of 1-3 months!)

Download/Blog Posts that have been deleted off of a person's blog. (Think: Someone retired as a CC creator and deleted all their CC).

.... And as always, feel free to ask when in doubt!

❓ "I'm a creator who has already archived my old CC on SFS, but I'm still actively creating. Can I upload my older content here too?"

Of course! If you find the layout much more helpful for your old content, you can always use it too! Just make sure to reach out to me (@greenplumbboblover or message this blog) and I will create the repository for you! 😉

❓ "I don’t have the original images for that content/set. Can I take new screenshots in-game and use those instead?"

Yep! In the end, we only want to know what an item looks like, so any visual idea (as long as it's not a Paint drawing lol) will do! Do note though: Images *are* Optional. So you don't have to upload them with it. Sometimes someone might still have them laying around!

❓ "Am I allowed to cross-post from, let's say, TheSimsGraveyard to here?"

Sure! As long as the original place is totally cool with it, I don't see why not. 😉

❓ "Is NSFW stuff allowed?

It is, but it will have to adhere to the guidelines of the site: https://simblr.cc/tou/

❓ "I have a feature request!"

I always love to hear more about how to improve the website, so if you have any bugs, features, feedback, etc. Totally share it! In fact, I really appreciate it if you have any! ❤️

Fireworks and other party objects enabled on community lots (Sims 2)

This mod enables fireworks, confetti poppers, noisemakers and sparklers from the official Holiday Pack (2005) on community lots.

Two versions included: a regular one, and a medieval one. The medieval is just Sunni9676's default replacements but enabled on community lots. Choose only one version.

nonsensicalpixels converted the mesh and its monique-hacked, the mesh is included. there's a subset for the computer and then also the sticky notes so you can mix and match

(it's quite low res but out of my control due to the mapping and the texture itself, soz)

Thank you! You can download it here. You will notice there’s a road section missing, that’s intentional because I wanted to place a curved road there. You can do so by using these road pieces by jodeliejodelie. If you’d prefer to have a straight road connecting that part let me know and I’ll add one.

I should also mention I used the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat to lower the lot areas to beach level, change the coastline a bit and smooth out the mountains.

Hobbies and sub-hobbies

I've been working on implementing a sub-hobby system in my game recently and really enjoying it! I took a look at the different activities available for different hobbies and came up with my list, which I thought I'd share here.

I do have some mods that change the hobby enthusiasm of some objects, or add new ones - I'll link where applicable.

I don't assign these based on any system, just vibes. I usually stick with whatever hobby the game assigns, but I do sometimes change them if it really feels like it doesn't fit to me. The sub-hobbies are intended to be a main focus, but Sims can and will still try other aspects of their overall hobby, and other hobbies altogether sometimes too!

The list is a work in progress but I'm basically happy with it now.

Edited: I found a version of the punching bag that gives fitness enthusiasm instead of sports, and that activity makes more sense to me as a fitness thing, so I moved that sub-hobby over.

[NO CC] "Oresha-Hoh" Greek house

DOWNLOAD: sfs | modthesims

Oresha-Hoh have the same layout as this greek house, but it's not built in a beach lot. It features a basement, 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, was built in a 40x40 lot, costs $118,358. You may have to use ChangeLotZoning cheat to transform it in a greek house or a dormatory.

This lot was built using the Ultimate Collection, but I think I used these packs: Apartment Life, Bon Voyage, Celebration, Freetime, Nightlife, OFB, M&G and University.
