AU with Akechi as actual confidant, and teaches Akira how to make deductions. Akira will learn these skills after some ranks :

- Information Gathering

Which allows Akira to actually see the enemies weakness with special command (R2), but loses his turn.

- Critical Thinking

During negotiation, when Akira is about to pick the wrong choice, he will realize his mistake and allows to pick another choice (only works once per negotiation). Dialogue will be like “Wait… i think that’s wrong.”

- Critical Thinking II

During dates, if Akira choses the wrong option or gives the wrong gift, he’ll habe another chance to rethink of his action. “Is that really the right choice..?”

- Observation

Allows third eye to see trap doors/hidden chests. (In this verse there are traps and hidden chests). Also allows third eye to see hidden treasure demons.

I still have that part 2 to write but umm imagine this.. Akechi dressing up with cute witch hat headband just to put a selfie in his blog and he casually asks Akira "Trick or Treat, am i doing this right?" while in leblanc where they're holding small halloween party and then Akira just gave him candy ring ON HIS LEFT RING FINGER and Akechi ended up with red face and full of question marks and unmoving for about 10 minutes until he laugh and thanked Akira and then left because he's too embarassed or confused.

But Akira pulled him back after a few steps out of leblanc, saying that they have a cake and they need people to help eating it because sojiro won't eat sweets.

And then after Akechi helped finishing the cake, Akira sees him off before whispering " I mean it, the ring" and once again made Akechi's brain system crash.

Part 1

More timeloop AU

AU/notsoAU where Akira never realize the pancake thing and genuinely trusts Akechi until he realize the betrayal in the interrogation room.

Akira returns back, decided to make Akechi confess his sins on TV by changing his heart (let's just say it's possible somehow).

Akira, Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana somehow managed to change Akechi's heart (with help of Akira's NG+ stat).

Akechi confessed on tv, just like Akira predicted. And it made him feel so so good. Serves him right. Now the whole country will ridicule him.

But apparently that's not everything. Akechi confessed about Shido. And then he smiled. He smiled. And it made Akira shiver. Because that was the same smile Akechi made in the interrogation room. And Akechi

pulled out the gun

and points it to his temple.

"Case closed, Shido Masayoshi. This is where your justice ends."

Without Akechi, Shido couldn't make the mental breakdowns. Without Akechi, Shido couldn't climb the pedestals. Without Akechi, Shido's justice won't happen.

And he pulled the trigger.

Akechi committed suicide in national television and claimed he had his heart changed thanks to the PT.

It wasn't supposed to be like this. Akechi made the world distrust the PT so early in his first time loop. And worse

Akira drove him to suicide.

Morgana blamed himself.

Ann had panic attack.

Ryuji almost turn himself to jail.

It wasn't supposed to be like this. This shouldn't happen. He's supposed to get Akechi jailed and be shamed for his entire lifetime.

How dare he.

But what's going on?

Who is Masayoshi Shido?

Akira threw up until there's nothing left in his stomach, feeling guilty and confused, and panic consumed him.

And yaldabaoth whispered sweetly to him.

That was his first loop.

The second loop, he tried to approach slowly.

He formed fake friendship with Akechi. After all, the brunette did it to him last time right? He listened to Akechi's bullshit, offering empty promises and nonlistening ear. To his surprise, Akechi seems to buy it.

Then he realize, those were not lies. With addition of Yusuke and Makoto's help, he easily cleared Akechi's palace. He confronted Akechi in his apartment with Makoto's (and Sae)'s help. And then he realized all the bullshit Akechi told him were in fact.. not bullshit at all.

Akechi had been dropping hints here and there to get help. Akira ignored them all.

Akechi told them everything. About his plan of revenge to Shido, his mother, his entire life. And like before, he became suicidal. It was Yusuke and Ryuji who stopped him, and Ann and Makoto who made him back to his feet. Saying that if he want to repent, then work for it.

And Akira.... Akira felt sick.

There was an ugly feeling in his heart. He felt sick. Akechi is not supposed to be friends. He's supposed to go to jail!

But Makoto was right. Morgana was right. Everyone was right. It was Shido's fault. Akechi was just a tool.

"When we changed Shido's heart, then I'll also bring myself to jail. But please let me help you, Shido is not someone you can defeat on your own."

Akira wanted to laugh. Is he bullshitting again? but they changed his heart.

Akechi joined the party. He learned how Akechi was also a wild card, yet never had another persona because he didn't have any bonds.

And after a while, he thought it was nice.

Then medjed come and it's time to save Futaba now.

Akechi told them about Shido's plan. And he offered to help them. But akira knew better. Futaba needs help. So does Haru.

So they agreed to help Futaba.

And that's where he lost Akechi.

Akira should have known. He should have seen it coming. Akechi caused the mental breakdown. Wakaba died from mental breakdown.

How could he be so blind to fail to see this?

When Futaba blamed herself from Wakaba's death, Akechi confessed to her. In regards to that, Futaba regained her will. But her unstable feelings caused Wakaba's cognition to go mad.

Akechi protected Futaba.

He smiled before he died, but this time it's different. He didn't make that wicked smile or have empty eyes. He smiled genuinely, like he finally accomplished something.

He told them he was grateful. He apologized to Futaba. And Akira wondered how could a dying man talked so much.

He remembered crying.

Futaba's condition got worse.

And Yaldabaoth whispered to him again.

His third loop was simple. It was working well until Futaba's dungeon. So this time, he made Akechi find out about Medjed while the rest went to save Futaba. He introduced them after Futaba's condition returned to normal.

Futaba was... confused. But regardless, she became stronger after she learned the truth.

Akechi still vowed to protect Futaba, like last time. And once again, Akira didn't anticipate that they quickly become friends. (Mostly because Akechi couldn't refuse Futaba's request and that gave Futaba power to bully make Akechi listen to her silly requests such as take her to Akihabara to buy stuff). It was refreshing to see Akechi in disguise instead.

Then Haru came. He thought everything is going to be fine. He thought that he could finally save everyone.

Okumura still died.

His first thought was Akechi betrayed him again.

But he wasn't. Because the brunette was caught by the police and accused to be the one behind Okumura's death.

The PT went into shock. Futaba was the first one to voice her objection. There's no way Akechi would do that.

They turned to Sae to help investigate the case.

The next day, Akechi was found dead in the interrogation room. Gun in his hand, a gunshot in his temple.

Akira remembered his first loop.

He felt sick remembering and passed out.

The velvet room twins advised him to stop.

He refused and once again, fell deeper in Yaldabaoth's hell.

AU where they found Akechi alive, but broken and couldn’t function as a human anymore (like getting apathy syndrome). Mostly because he turned himself psychotic and “died” in Shido’s palace

Akira visits him in the hospital almost everyday. Trying to get him back alive, but Akechi hardly responds to anything. 

One day he saw a girl carrying a porcelain doll dressed up like Akechi and says how he was so pretty and beautiful despite her friends telling her that Akechi Goro has gone missing and she should stop. 

The doll reminded him so much of the current Akechi’s state and Akira rushed to the hospital once again. He became desperate. He tried bringing Akechi stuff he might like. Chess, Pancakes, Leblanc Coffee and Curry, Detective novels. 

But Akechi responded to none. Akira found out that all those things Akechi mentioned to be ‘interesting’ were probably lies. 

Then he cried. 

He wished so hard he could still access the metaverse. He wished so hard he could change Akechi’s heart. Even though he knew he shouldn’t. 

Only to Akira’s tears did Akechi start reacting, albeit he didn’t respond much but just blankly stare at Akira in confusion. 

Once Akechi recognizes him, he starts getting better. Once he does, Akira tells the rest of the PTs and they start helping him recover.

Time Travel AU

AU where Joker traveled back in time by fusing himself with Satanael with Lavenza and Igor's help. However, he discover that he's not regressing into his past self, but rather, travel into another alternate reality 3 years prior his present time (when a year has passed since the battle with yaldabaoth)

Since there can't be two joker at the same time, he decided to pick a new name, Kurusu Akira instead of his original Amamiya Ren.

He got sent back in time, and successfully stopped Akechi from using his power on Wakaba.

Akechi was saved by Akira, and Akira decided to take care of Akechi, now two years younger than Akira, and lived together with him. Akira constantly teaches Akechi about the metaverse and persona. Akechi looks up to Akira and gradually learns how to live like a person.

This get complicated when Akechi meets Ren.

Will Akira be able to win against fate? Or will it gets worse now that Shido had something else to prepare in his sleeve and Futaba never joins Ren's company?

I kind of speculate that the Akechi in pq2 is not the real Akechi but a cognitive/shadow/illusion Akechi born from the thieves' desire to save him /guilt from being unable to save him in the end.

I may have speculate too much from the opening from pq2 but it feels like he'll have a major role there. If he doesn't end up as the main villain that is.

It's interesting how he has his own segment in the cutscenes. Twice, even.

If that's not what happened, i'd like to think that the PT that got sucked into that world is the PT from another timeline where Akechi lives. Because if Hamuko can exist then so can Akechi, right???

I'm wondering why Akira gave him the chess piece. I love all the theories (including the one where it has a ring in it). But i was truly wondering what kind of symbolism they're really trying to pull.

But i guess it doesn't really mean much but actually just Akira showing his rivalry. He lost so he gave Akechi the Black King piece because Akira always used black. (Which reminds me of Lelouch coughfukujuncough).

But take it from Akechi's point of view, i think Akechi would be really happy that Akira gave him the piece. It wasn't a gift. It was a declaration of their rivalry. That Akira declared to him. One day I'll take that back, when i win against you.

And here comes the next. What if they decided to devise another plan, saving Akira, fooling Akechi, but this time actually confront Akechi before they go into Shido's palace. They'd fight (probably in the mementos), and when Akira won, he'd demand the black king back, and also, the white king (Akechi).

"I won, so you belong to me now. Help us beat down Shido."

Akechi Goro is a devil.

Akechi Goro is a demon with angelic smile.

Akechi Goro is a liar. 

Akechi Goro is not someone Kurusu Akira could understand and he prefer it stays that way. 

Akechi Goro is not someone he should be hanging out with. 

But fate keeps intertwining them. 

Thus, Kurusu Akira learned.

Akechi Goro is fragile. 

And Kurusu Akira handled it wrong. 

Akechi Goro has shattered, leaving only memories and guilt behind.

"Pretend to be my boyfriend, please." is what Goro said to Akira on this one time he visited leblanc. Apparently he got a very terrible stalker and then he blurted to the stalker that he's gay and have a boyfriend to keep her away.

Cue them being lovey dovey for a day and ended up as real boyfriend afterwards.

What if

Akira never met Ryuji. He wouldn't have gone into the shortcut, wouldn't have discovered Kamoshida's palace. He wouldn't have met Mona and the rest of PT wouldn't have been Phantom Thief.

What if he got into the metaverse / palace by accident, but stumble upon Akechi instead (in Loki suit). What if Akechi is feeling overjoyed (that he found someone with same powers but weaker) but disappointed at the same time (because he thought he was the only one with that power). What if Akechi explained to Akira about the metaverse of what he knows (from Wakaba's research), and Akira proposed they do it to help people instead.

Akechi was intrigued. All this time he never use it to help people but to discover the truth (using his image as a detective and hide his true motive from Akira).

And they would explore the palace, starting from Kamoshida. He helped Akira save Ryuji and Ann (And Mona whom they met while they explore Kamoshida's dungeon). With Ryuji, Ann, and Mona, they creates the PT. Akira proposed Akechi to be the leader but Akechi refused, not wanting to get any closer and just play along with their games since he knew he was far stronger than them.

Helping Yusuke also helped Akechi disclose Madarame's case. So is with Makoto and Kaneshiro.

But everything changed when they try to save Futaba. When Akechi learned the truth about Futaba's situation. How the guilt started to crawl on his back. He gave hints of Wakaba's death. Saying how the case was weird and that someone must have targeted her. He shared this with Sojiro. And he convinced Futaba that Wakaba's death is not Futaba's fault. He was kinder to Futaba, and helped her get back on her knees.

And when they confronted Haru's dad and he was told to kill her dad, he finally give in. He confessed to the PT. That he was on Shido's side all along. That he was the one behind the psychotic breakdown. But that all changed since he met Akira. That he didn't want to make any more victim and that he wanted to save Haru's dad from Shido.

So, instead of killing Haru's dad, they formed a strategy. With Akemi's help, they made Haru's dad drink sleeping potion and made him go hiding while they try to change Shido's heart.

Sae's palace probably never happened though since they will advance much faster.
