Absolutely. I was constantly told by them that they were most amazing and worked so hard and did so much for us. Like every Christmas, and offer by other people too. But also holy fucking hell every kid is screwed up, all 9 of us.

Anyone else in their 30’s and 40’s grow up with the talking point that you had the best parents in the world because they bought you video games for Christmas when in reality they were super abusive and/or neglectful?

I’m just curious if that was a common experience for kids born in the 80’s and 90’s.
