Bathing in Whump

Ooo the vulnerability! The intimacy!

-Carefully positioning Whumpee in the bathtub to prevent their casts from getting wet.

-Helping Whumpee get in/out of their clothes before or after a bath if they're too beaten up.

-Blood being washed away, revealing huge bruises and scrapes.

-Caretaker carefully carding their hands through Whumpee's hair, washing out all of the dirt and blood.

-Bathwater stained pink from rehydrated blood.

-A sponge bath for a bed bound/unconscious Whumpee.

-Whumper forcing Whumpee to bathe in ice water, not allowing them to get out until they're suitably clean.

-Whumpee obsessively scrubbing their skin raw, desperate to get everything off of them.

-Soap stinging the small cuts on Whumpee's knees and elbows, the already inflamed skin becoming even more painful.

-Whumpee being so tired they almost fall asleep in the bath.

-On the Run Whumpee having to bathe in unclean river water.

-Sick Whumpee having to take a cool bath to break their fever, shivering all the while.

-The implicit trust and nonsexual intimacy of allowing someone to help you bathe, love it!

“I’m not sure that you will ever get better.” The doctor replied impassively.

Whumpee’s hands began to shake, “You can’t keep me here forever. I have rights.”

The doctor shook his head slightly, “That’s where you’re wrong. You are a danger to yourself and even more importantly a danger to others. You are a case of the state. That means that it is entirely up to my psychiatric expertise whether you remain in this institution.”

Hot tears welled up in their eyes as they responded barely above a whisper, “But you know. You know that I’m not sick.”

An injured/exhausted/weakened/semiconscious, for whatever reason unable to offer physical cooperation, character being gently manhandled into an upright position by a companion who cradles their head and shoulders pressed to the companion's chest and spreads a hand over the back of their head, fingers tangled through their hair and arm curling protectively 'round. The character being held, already largely limp, leans even more heavily into the warm fabric of their companion's shirt, the familar scent, the rumble of their voice, and the small comfort of the hand in their hair.

Wiping a tear away with the tip of a knife

hand-shaped bruises. bracelets of finger imprints on wrists, branded on shoulders or throats or hips. the lack of plausible deniability. the way anyone seeing it can tell something Happened. someone who cares sees it and there’s no hiding the ongoing whump anymore. the photographs memorializing it. the moment a sleeve slips and a friend or coworker or roommate asks “whoa, what happened?”

just. the obviousness of it. the distinctness of it. hand-shaped bruises my beloved.

cages in whump!!

put that guy in a cage!!!! bonus points if it's hanging from a ceiling.. on display like a prized pet.. maybe they ARE a prized pet.. never quite getting used to the hanging sensation.. forced into an overly small space and they have to curl up uncomfortably.. ough

i'm a total sucker for when there's multiple whumpees in multiple cages (especially when hanging from the ceiling) and they can't touch or maybe even speak they just have to share the experience..

maybe bad whumpees are threatened with The Cage. sorry you looked at me weird it's cage time for the next 48 hours. ough
