The Forest’s Whisper
Date Posted — April 13th 2025
Fantasy Oneshot!
Human Healer! Reader x Fae King! Taehyung
Warning! — Hurt reader, abused reader

———————————————————————————
Deep within the folds of Eldoria, where magic clung to every tree root and whispered between branches, lived a young human healer named Y/N. She dwelled on the edge of the Lirien Forest, alone but not lonely, her heart devoted to healing the sick and wounded—be they man, beast, or something in between. The villagers tolerated her, seeking her skills in secret, but never truly embracing her. They called her strange. Too kind. Too soft.
When Y/N was a young girl her grandmother would tell her stories of the spirits who lived in the woods. She would speak of how beautiful the spirits were, and how they at one time lived in peace with the humans. Before the cruelty of man took hold. After the stories were told, late into the night a young Y/N would stay up late gazing at the dotted night sky, imagination running free. She would often try to imagine how the spirits would have looked, from how the soft shimmer of their skin would look in the sun, to the tips of their pointed ears that so closely resemble hers but differ so much as well.
One morning, as the sun peeked through the thick trees, Y/N heard a sharp, desperate cry echoing through the forest. The sound so serene yet heart wrenching all the same. As the noise rang through her ears Y/N arouse with a swiftness in her step, her instincts taking over as she ran toward the sound. herbs and salves jangling in the satchel at her side.
As Y/N reached the source of the noise she froze for a moment. There, with gleaming wings tangled in a cruel iron barbed trap, was a girl — a young one at that, no older than 7 it appears, with pointed ears, shimmering green hair tangled with leaves, and luminous silver eyes clouded with pain.
At seeing the features the poor girl portrayed the stories of old came flooding back to the forefront of her mind. Her grandmother’s soft voice ringing in her ears. Finally when she came back to her senses, Y/N fell to her knees beside frail child “Shh, it’s alright,” she whispered, her hands already moving. “I’ve got you.”
Despite the girl flinching she allowed Y/N to close in on the trapped wing. After a minute of struggling with the barbed metal she disarmed the trap with delicate fingers and dressed the wounds on the child with practiced care. The fae child stared in awe as Y/N’s hands glowed faintly with magic — not fae magic, but something softer. Warmer. Human-born, yet ancient.
“I’m Muji,” she said, voice thin as paper. “Thank you for saving me..” she said shyly, “I would like to repay your kindness dear human..” looking around briefly the child wordlessly grabbed a fallen stick as she took it into one hand her other grabbed a hold of Y/N’s wrist before bringing the stick towards it. Whispering in an ancient tongue lost on the human brain, the girl morphed the stick into a delicate wooden bracelet, intricate carvings of fae wings and leaves carved themselves into the wood.
Then after the light of the magic died down, she was gone—vanishing like mist with a grateful smile.
———————————————————————————
Word of the healer-woman spread like pollen through the forest. Muji told the story to her kin, and soon others whispered of the first gentle human in centuries. One with hands of moonlight and a heart of gold. It wasn’t long before the rumors reached the Fae King, Taehyung himself and it had made him curious.
Taehyung, a mystery even to his own court, was a being of storm and starlight. His beauty was ethereal—hair like midnight silk, eyes like burning gold—and his soul bore the weight of centuries. After countless years wasting away in his castle with nothing being worth his time or curiosity, these rumors of this human woman has left him Intrigued, so he donned a glamor and left to observe this Y/N woman from the shadows of the trees.
Through out the weeks he’d watched her he saw her tending to injured birds, whispering lullabies to crying children, and burying dead flowers with a prayer. But he also saw the way humans treated her. Harsh words. Cold shoulders. A man once spat at her feet for aiding a child with “unnatural herbs.”
And yet she smiled through it all, but Taehyung could see the cracks forming.
Then one night, she shattered.
———————————————————————————
Rain pelted the earth as Y/N stumbled through the forest, clutching her side. After one of the village elders passed under her care of natural causes, the family members grew outraged over Y/N not being able to preform a life saving miracle. So in turn they had decided to accuse her of witchcraft because of their broken hearts— the mob had torn her home apart, left her bleeding and broken. Her sobs were swallowed by the wind as her legs gave out beneath her.
“Why am I never enough?” she cried to the trees. “Why do I always have to hurt just to help?”
She collapsed at the foot of an ancient oak, tears washing the blood from her cheeks.
That’s when he stepped from the shadows.
Tall, regal, cloaked in twilight, Taehyung approached without a sound. “Because your kindness terrifies those who have none,” he said gently.
Y/N gasped, scrambling to her feet. “Who—?”
He reached for her hand. “I am Taehyung. King of the Fae.” She barely had time to react before he raised her hand to his lips. The moment his lips brushed the back of her hand, a spark ignited. A deep ancient magic had awakened, something ethereal, something that had been predetermined before either of the two were ever born, something fated.
A soft golden light enveloped them both.
“I—what is this?” she whispered.
Taehyung’s eyes widened with reverence. “This light, it’s really true. Your the one, my fated other half.”
Hearing his words, her breath hitched. The forest around them seemed to hold its breath.
“But I’m human.”
Taehyung grasps her chin lightly tilting her face up towards him “And I am not cruel,” he said, brushing a leaf from her hair as he pulls Y/N closer. “Come with me. Let me show you a world where you are cherished.”
———————————————————————————
Y/N went with him.
Through the veil of trees, beneath moonlit arches of silver bark, she was led to the hidden kingdom of the fae. Flowers bloomed where she walked. Spirits bowed in respect. The people who once feared humans now adored the one who had saved their own.
In Taehyung’s arms, she found warmth—not just in his embrace, but in the way he looked at her, as if she was more than the pain she carried. As if she was home.
He gave her a garden of her own, where she healed without judgment. She gave him laughter, compassion, and love untainted by centuries of courtly games.
And every night, under starlit canopies, he kissed the back of her hand just to feel that spark again.Because in a world that had too often broken her spirit, she had found something unbreakable.
A love written in the stars.
A healer’s heart matched by a king’s soul.
A future, finally free of heartache.

Chapter 3 — Familiar Face
———————————————————————————
"Take it easy," Y/N murmured, as she and one of her nurses carry the groggy hybrid through the front doors of her clinic, her voice gentle as she carefully helped the fennec fox hybrid into the room she had prepared for him. "Let me get you settled in." She said gently as she and another nurse began to get the exhausted hybrid into a gown. After getting him settled into a gown and in bed Y/N took a moment to assess the situation. This new hybrid was in dire need of care, clearly he was exhausted and mostly definitely malnourished like the two before him. So with a quick deep breath a small outward assessment of his body Y/N got to work, she had no intention of letting him suffer for even a second longer. "Hey," Y/N murmured, guiding a caring hand across his pale face I’m going to check you over, okay? Just relax."
The fennec fox hybrid didn't seem to resist, and he couldn’t muster much strength to respond. So Y/N began. Working quickly, she assessed his condition even further, making sure to give him fluids and check his vitals. She didn’t find any major injuries, only a few small already healing scratches and old scars. So his condition wasn't anything she couldn't handle. She could do this.
Before long, she was joined by the two hybrids she had already been taking care of. Both coming out of their room across the way having been informed by the head nurse that Y/N wanted to see them both. Jungkook’s and Taehyung’s worried expressions softened when they saw the fennec fox man laying on the bed, his breathing slow but steady now.
“Is he okay?” Taehyung asked, his voice thick with concern, his usual confident boyish charm replaced with an uncharacteristic tenderness.
Y/N nodded, offering them a reassuring smile. "He'll be fine. He just needs rest. He’s exhausted and a little malnourished, but nothing that can't be fixed."
The two men seemed to relax at the news, though they still hovered near the bed, their protectiveness clear. “But I do have a question, when he ran to me before he passed out he said your name Taehyung” Y/N spoke in a gentle voice, “would he happen to be a pack member of both of you?” Both boys glanced between each other as if wondering if the other would confirm the suspicion, eventually Taehyung leaned in, speaking in a hushed voice, he introduced the fennec fox by name.
"His name's Hoseok," Taehyung said softly, his voice full of fondness. "But we call him Hobi, He’s our third oldest hyung . He's always been the most optimistic of us all, always keeping us smiling even if it was hard for him to do so.."
Y/N nodded, understanding immediately. She could tell just from looking at Hoseok that he was someone who had a lot of responsibility on his shoulders, having to keep the younger ones from losing hope. She gently rubbed his arm, reassuring both him and his packmates.
“I’ll keep an eye on him, I promise," Y/N said. "You don’t need to worry, I’ll make sure he’s better in no time.”
———————————————————————————
Over the course of the next week, the three hybrids all seemed to recover rapidly. Hoseok, or Hobi as his packmates called him, began to regain his energy and his usual spark, even teasing Taehyung about his ferocious protective nature. Jungkook’s playful spirit returned, and Taehyung seemed less tense, his previously sharp edges softened by the care Y/N had shown them.
But as the week came to a close, the reality of the situation set in. The clinic was intended to be a temporary stop for hybrids like them, and Y/N knew that it was time to start discussing their future. They couldn’t stay at the clinic forever, and she needed the rooms for other patients.
She sat the three of them down, her heart heavy with the knowledge that they'd have to move soon.
“Alright, guys," Y/N began, her voice soft but firm. "You’re all healed now, and I know you’ll be okay on your own, but… until a shelter home opens up, I have a proposition.”
The three men looked at each other, their eyes filled with curiosity. Jungkook leaned forward first, his expression open and eager.
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“I have room in my house,” Y/N explained. “I can’t let you all stay here at the clinic, but you’re more than welcome to stay with me until a more permanent solution is found. I’ve got extra space, and you’ll be safe there.”
Taehyung, always the cautious one, raised an eyebrow, but there was no hesitation in his voice when he spoke “You’d really take us in?” Y/N smiled warmly, trying to ease the anxiety in his voice. “I wouldn’t offer if I wasn’t sure. I want to help.”
After a brief moment of silent communication between the three men, they all agreed. Jungkook grinned, Taehyung nodded with quiet appreciation, and Hoseok, still a little shy but grateful, gave her a small but blinding smile.
A day or so later Y/N had received the temporary emergency adoption papers for all three of the men, and as a group they followed her to her house to settle into their new home.
When they arrived at the house, or more technically the mansion the boys gasped in shock, Jungkook genuinely looked like a deer in headlights. “You live here?” Hoseok asked in utter shock as he stared at the regal cat statues lining the entry stairs. Y/N laughed, “Yes this is my humble abode, come in, my house is your house now too.” She said gesturing the boys inside.
Aside from Y/N’s grandfather being a ridiculously wealthy man and leaving his wealth to her, she had also made a substantial amount from the multiple books on hybrid health she’d written although most of the income from those went towards the clinic or hybrid charities.
After the boys got over the shock they decided to pick out their rooms, although there were multiple unoccupied rooms available Jungkook and Taehyung took to rooming together as neither one wanted to be alone. Hoseok however picked a room for himself albeit still close to the other twos room. Once the decision was made they began the process of settling in.
A week of laughter and shared moments later, the boys and Y/N had decidedly grown close, the three men deciding that Y/N was a special kind of human. One evening Y/N stood over the stove cooking dinner, she had decided to cook lasagna, she had just begun to brown the meat as Jungkook returned from the backyard greeting her as he headed upstairs when the atmosphere shifted. Y/N was focused on the stove, stirring the meal, unaware of the shadow that loomed behind her.
———————————————————————————
The back door creaked open, and before Y/N could register the movement, the intruder lunged. A guttural snarl echoed through the room, and Y/N gasped in shock. But before she could even scream, a deafening roar pierced the air, followed by the sound of something heavy crashing into the wall.
At the same time as the intruder entered the kitchen Taehyung had rounded the corner from the stairs. He’d seen the shadow of the other hybrid and his instincts to protect had him reacting instantly as he slammed the attacker back. The two hybrids collided in a blur of claws, fangs, and fury, a dangerous tangle of limbs as they fought for control.
Y/N’s heart pounded in her chest, her hands shaking as she backed away from the scene. She saw Jungkook and Hoseok rush into the kitchen, their eyes wide with panic, as they rushed to check on her. Their voices drowned out by the sounds of snarls, all Y/N could do was watch as Taehyung fought with a terrifying intensity.
Finally, Taehyung managed to pin the attacker, his jaws snapping inches from the stranger’s throat. The battle slowed, and as Taehyung caught his breath, his furious expression faltered. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared down at the intruder, his voice barely a whisper as he muttered, “Yoongi-hyung… is it really you?”
The realization hit everyone like a freight train. The hybrid who had just tried to attack Y/N, was none other than Yoongi, another lost pack mate.
Shock and confusion filled the air as the two hybrids locked eyes, the tension so thick it was almost suffocating. Taehyung lept off Yoongi, giving him space to pick himself up. Hoseok and Jungkook stayed by Y/N just in case Yoongi decided to strike again. As Yoongi got up onto his feet dusting off his worn out jeans he hissed out with menace directed at the human, “Would anyone care to explain why you’re here with a human?” He spit the word out like it burnt his tongue just to say it as he glared at Y/N with a look of suspicion.
As Y/N noticed the look of distaste Yoongi sent her way she gulped, thinking to herself that this entire situation has just gotten a lot more complicated.

Farming Feline
Date posted — March 13 2025
Hybrid! Yoongi x Reader
Warning! — Down on his luck Yoongi, and fluff.

———————————————————————————
Y/N had always enjoyed the simple life on her farm. There was something about the steady rhythm of farm life that kept her grounded. The early mornings, the soft rustle of the wind through the wheat fields, the clucking of the chickens—all of it had become a comfort. It was just her, a small house, a few horses, and a whole lot of hay.
But one night, everything changed.
It started with the horses. They were whinnying, stomping their hooves, and generally making a racket that would’ve woken the dead. Y/N, groggy and annoyed, slipped out of bed and pulled on her thick flannel robe.
"Great," she muttered under her breath. "Probably just some raccoons again. Or maybe a fox... Who knows, at this point."
Y/N grabbed a flashlight and trudged out to the barn, hoping to quiet the animals and go back to sleep. But as soon as she stepped inside, she froze.
There, in the far corner, curled up like a cat in a sunbeam, was a man. Or, well, sort of a man. He had the body of a human, but his ears? Feline. Pointed, twitching ears. His eyes gleamed in the flashlight’s glow—bright, slitted pupils, the kind of gaze that made you think he could see through you.
She blinked. Then blinked again.
"Uh… hello?" she called out, trying to sound casual despite the fact that there was a hybrid in her barn.
The figure stirred, lifting his head. His hair was dark, almost black, and messy in a way that somehow still looked deliberate, like he had spent hours perfecting that disheveled look.
His voice was low, and a little gruff as he yawned, "What?"
Y/N took a cautious step forward. "What... are you doing here?"
The man, cat? looked at her as if the question was completely ridiculous. "What does it look like? I’m napping."
Y/N stared. "In my barn."
"Yeah, well," he shrugged, his tail flicking lazily behind him. "I like barns. Good hay here."
"Right," Y/N said, trying to process what she was seeing. "Okay, um... you can't just sleep here. This is my barn."
The man—Yoongi, as it turned out after a few awkward moments of trying to get his attention—grumbled something incomprehensible. "I’ll leave in the morning."
Crossing her arms she spoke. "What’s your deal anyway?” Ignoring her question Yoongi began to pick at the hay underneath him.
"Right listen man," she said slowly. "I’m... I’m gonna need some answers. Like, why are you here? And—"
"I could ask you why you live on a farm in the middle of nowhere," he interjected, his tone still as gruff as ever, but Y/N couldn’t help noticing the flicker of humor in his eyes.
Y/N paused, biting back a laugh. "Fair point. But you still have to leave."
Yoongi sighed dramatically and stretched out, his tail flicking in an almost annoyed manner. "Look, lady. I’m... in between jobs. It’s hard enough to keep a job as a hybrid, let alone an apartment. So I thought I’d take a little nap before I figure out what to do with my life. Didn’t know the barn came with a roommate."
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "How about we make a deal?"
"Yeah? What kind of deal?" he asked, his tone skeptical.
"It’s simple, I’ll let you have the spare room and you can have all the food you want, but in exchange you work here around the farm." she said, hands on her hips. " I don’t know if you could tell but I could use an extra set of hands around here."
Yoongi gave her a blank stare. “A farmhand? Really? I’m not exactly cut out for... whatever this is.”
Y/N crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Well, you're gonna have to do something or it wouldn’t be fair."
Yoongi grumbled something incoherent under his breath, clearly not thrilled with the idea. “Fine,” he muttered. “But don’t expect me to do anything that involves getting dirty. I’m a very clean person.” Y/N rolled her eyes. "You were trying to sleep in a barn, Yoongi."
———————————————————————————
The next few weeks were... interesting, to say the least. Yoongi wasn’t exactly what one would call a “hard worker.” He spent most of his time sitting around on hay bales, occasionally giving the chickens a half-hearted glare when they pecked too loudly. But Y/N had a feeling things would change sooner or later.
"Yoongi!" Y/N called one afternoon, holding a rake as she surveyed the field. "Why aren't you working?"
Yoongi, lounging on a pile of hay under the shade of an old oak tree, didn't even open his eyes. "I am working. I’m supervising."
“Supervising the hay bales?”
“I have a lot of experience in management,” he said, stretching his arms behind his head and yawning. Y/N huffed, trying not to laugh. “Alright, you manage that hay and I’ll get to the rest of the farm. And no more napping, okay?”
“Fine, fine,” Yoongi muttered, reluctantly hopping off the hay and walking toward the barn. “But only because you’re making me.”
———————————————————————————
As time went on, something started to change. Yoongi began to open up little by little. It started with small, random comments. When she made lunch one afternoon, he commented on how good the smell of her homemade bread was. He’d make remakers with only a hint of sarcasm now about how “ Maybe your food is better than scraps." though Y/N knew he secretly enjoyed every meal. And even though he was still aloof, he started showing up more regularly to help her with things—mending fences, feeding the animals, and even walking the horses when she needed a break.
One evening, after a long day of work, Y/N and Yoongi sat together on the porch, watching the sun dip below the horizon. She turned to him, sipping her lemonade, and noticed that he was... actually looking at her. Not just glancing, not looking past her, but genuinely looking, his coal black eyes thoughtful.
"Hey, Yoongi," she said, trying to break the silence. “You’re... not as bad as I thought you’d be.”
Yoongi smirked, though it was less cold now and more... fond. “Yeah? You’re not as annoying as I thought either.”
Y/N laughed, enjoying the lighthearted teasing. “Well, I guess that makes two of us.”
For a moment, they sat in comfortable silence. Then Yoongi, looking at her more seriously, and spoke, his tone full of sincerity, "Thanks for letting me stay here. I know I’m not exactly the ideal farmhand, but... I appreciate it."
Y/N smiled, setting her glass down. "You’re starting to grow on me. Don’t get used to it, though."
He raised an eyebrow. "What, am I supposed to become some lovable farm cat now?"
She chuckled. “Maybe.”
———————————————————————————
A few months later, Y/N could no longer deny it. She’d developed feelings for the quirky, sarcastic man with the cat ears. Yoongi had somehow wormed his way into her life, and she found herself smiling now when she saw him perched on hay bales or tossing a sarcastic quip her way.
One night, after they had finished up a long day of chores, Yoongi dropped his usual detached attitude and looked at her earnestly as they stood by the barn.
“I’ve... uh... been thinking,” Yoongi said awkwardly. “I’m not exactly great with feelings, but... maybe this isn’t just a work arrangement anymore.”
Y/N tilted her head, her heart racing. “What are you trying to say, Yoongi?”
Yoongi scratched the back of his neck, his tail flicking nervously behind him. “I don’t know. I guess... I kind of like being here with you. More than I should. You make things... better.”
Y/N’s heart melted. “I feel the same way, you know.”
Yoongi smiled—a rare, soft gummy smile that made her heart flutter. “Yeah?”
"Yeah," she replied softly, taking a step closer. “You’ve grown on me too.”
And just like that, Yoongi, the aloof, sarcastic cat hybrid, had gone from being an unexpected farmhand to the person she couldn't imagine her life without.
———————————————————————————
From then on, Y/N and Yoongi became more than just farm partners. They worked together, laughed together, and even did the little domestic things that made life so special. They cooked dinner together (and occasionally bickered about who was better at making pasta). They did laundry, each pretending to be the expert in folding, but secretly stealing each other’s shirts when the other wasn’t looking. And, yes, they even took turns herding the chickens—though it was clear Yoongi was much more graceful at it, given his cat-like reflexes.
Before long, the farm felt more like home than it ever had before. It was theirs—Yoongi’s and hers—full of laughter, love, and, of course, a little bit of sass.

Styx and Sugar
Date posted — March 11th 2025
Hybrid au!
Hybrid! Yoongi x Reader
Warning! — alcohol, animal abuse, violent behavior, hurt hybrid Yoongi.
Authors Note — This story is unedited and I wrote it at like 5am, so I’m sorry if it’s not the best but I had an idea and just had to get it out! 💜

———————————————————————————
It was another busy Friday night at Styx, my bar. The place was packed, the hum of conversation and clinking glasses creating a comfortable buzz in the air. I leaned over the counter, handing a frosty beer to a regular, just as my hired bartender, Lara, shouted over the noise, "Y/N, we’re gonna need more whiskey!"
"Got it!" I yelled back, tossing a glance over my shoulder to make sure everything else was running smoothly. I was used to nights like this, but as the owner, I often ended up doing more than just bartending. I was part of the machinery that kept the place ticking.
A few hours in, the rush of customers started to settle, but the energy in the room never truly died down. That's when I noticed the garbage bag piled high by the side door — it was my turn to take out the trash. Normally, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but the alley behind the bar was... well, less than inviting at night.
I grabbed the heavy bag, shot Lara a quick "I'll be back in a minute" nod, and pushed the side door open. The dim light from the street lamps barely made it through the haze of fog creeping along the ground. As I stepped out, I heard it. A whimper — high-pitched and full of pain.
Dropping the trash bag I Instinctively ducked slightly, looking around the alley cautiously. The sound was coming from the alleyway's far end, where the shadows were thickest. The grunting followed after each pained whimper, jagged and uneven, almost like a rhythmic thudding. I knew immediately something wasn’t right. I hurried toward the noise, keeping my senses sharp.
Then, my heart dropped. A man, clearly drunk, was kicking a poor black toy poodle. The dog yelped in agony, trying to crawl away from the onslaught. I could feel my blood boil instantly.
"Hey!" I shouted, my voice a mix of anger and fear. "I’ve already called the cops, you better get the hell out of here!"
The drunk man, probably not fully processing what was going on, staggered away, grumbling incoherently as he tried to flee. His steps were unsteady, and in a few moments, he disappeared into the fog. I didn’t waste any time. My hands shook as I rushed forward, scooping up the small, trembling puppy into my arms. He fit perfectly against my chest, his fur soft and matted with dirt. I could feel the heat of his tiny body pressed close to mine as I ran back inside.
“Lara, I need to go. It’s an emergency,” I said quickly as I grabbed my phone off the counter. “Hold down the fort for me?”
Lara nodded without hesitation, and I bolted out the door, jumping into my car, setting the puppy carefully into the passanger seat. My heart hammered in my chest as I fumbled with my phone, searching for the nearest emergency vet. Thankfully, one wasn’t too far, and I made it there in record time.
The vet’s office was warm and smelled of antiseptic and comfort. I paced as the staff checked over the dog, now gently cleaned and prodded. The little guy was a trooper, despite the bruising and swelling that marred his small body. The doctor confirmed that only a few of the kicks had landed, but even that had caused some damage to his ribs. The vet prescribed anti-inflammatory medication and a light pain reliever, and after a brief discussion on the medications, I was told I could take him home.
Over the next few weeks I took care of the puppy working hard to get him back into the right shape. After the first week I had decided to name him Sugar. It felt right, given how sweet he is despite the ordeal he’d been through, it fit him perfectly.
———————————————————————————
Four Weeks Later
I walked into my apartment after a long shift, exhausted and ready to collapse. “Sugar!” I called out, scanning the rooms for my little companion. I usually found him curled up on the couch or snuggled into the blanket at the foot of my bed, but tonight was different.
“Sugar?” I called again, my unease growing. The apartment was eerily quiet, and my mind began to race. Was the window open? Did I forget to lock the door?
My heart skipped a beat when I heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. Immediately, my pulse quickened. Someone must have broken in. Or worse, the apartment was haunted. Without thinking, I grabbed the nearest weapon — a rolling pin — and crept toward the bathroom door.
As I stepped close preparing to open it, the door flew open on its own. I screamed, swinging the pin wildly. My heart beating rapidly in my chest as mid-air as the pin was stopped in place by a hand. I blinked, my eyes meeting a pair of wide brown ones.
I gasped. The young man standing in front of me stared in shock as I blinked rapidly at him frozen. He oddly seemed familiar to me, and as I thought that I glanced up. Gasping in shock I noticed a pair of black ears sitting onto of his head, then the small black tail tucked behind him. He was... my puppy. No. It couldn’t be.
“Sugar?” I breathed out, unable to move. The man nodded slightly, the puppy I had rescued, the one I had cared for, now stood in front of me as a man, my sugar was a hybrid.
Taking a moment I noticed his features were soft, almost delicate, and he looked strangle cute as he stood there rooted in place in a pair of my ex’s sweats, and an oversized shirt.
“I… I can explain,” he said meekly, and for a moment, I just stared, dumbfounded. It was him. This grown man was my puppy. My mind was reeling.
———————————————————————————
Two Hours Later
I couldn’t stop laughing. It was absurd, it was ridiculous, and yet... it made sense.
“So, let me get this straight," I said, catching my breath between giggles, "While you were hurt your shifting was delayed, but then when you were able to transform back, you thought I’d be upset that you weren’t a real puppy and you didn’t want to hurt my feelings, so you decided to stay as Sugar?”
Yoongi — as he now told me his name was — nodded sheepishly, his ears twitching slightly.
I couldn’t stop laughing. The absurdity of it all hit me in waves. When I finally calmed down, I looked at him and grinned. "Well, I’m not mad. But you should have told me sooner."
He gulped and quickly zipped his lips, making me laugh even harder. “Well, looks like I have a new roommate,” I said, after a few moments of silence. Yoongi’s face lit up. “You’re going to let me stay?” He asked excitedly “Yeah why not? It would be lonely here now with my little dog.” I say jokingly. “But we’re splitting house chores." I added while grinning.
Yoongi grinned back but his face fell as I gave him a look of faux seriousness. "Besides can’t have you leaving here telling the world of my awful dancing that you’ve seen, you’d ruin my reputation.” I added as I broke into giggles at the end.
He let out a loud laugh. “Alright, you’ve got a deal.” He says as he makes a zipping motion of his lips.
I chuckling before mentioning that will go shopping tomorrow for him before I turn the tv on. As we settled into the couch to watch TV, I couldn't help thank the universe that it was my turn to take the trash out that night.

Chapter 2 — A Bump In The Night
————————————————————
Y/N had seen her fair share of challenging cases in her time as a hybrid veterinarian and doctor. It was a field few truly understood, especially considering how society treated hybrids. But her empathy, knowledge, and unwavering dedication had allowed her to carve out a niche where she could make a difference, however small. Today, as she walked down the sterile hallway toward the room where she’d left her two most recent patients, she was ready to face what came next.
Taehyung, the tiger hybrid, had been through a lot in the last few days. His body was weak and malnourished, but his mind… his mind had been more of a mystery. Jungkook, the deer hybrid, had explained some of their journey, but Y/N had her doubts. Both hybrids had been through unimaginable pain, yet their bond seemed unbreakable, a silent strength that kept them tethered together despite their shared trauma.
———————————————————————————
Y/N took a breath and opened the door, entering the room. She could feel the tension in the air immediately. The room, dimly lit and quiet save for the soft sounds of medical machinery, was charged with an underlying sense of alertness.
Then, a growl.
It wasn’t just any growl. It was deep, low, and filled with raw instinct. Y/N froze, recognizing the sound instantly. Taehyung. His body was still partially covered in bandages from the damage he'd endured, but his eyes, now awake, were wild with fear and distrust. His head was low, his pupils dilated, and his ears were pinned back, a clear sign that he was unsettled.
"Easy, Taehyung," came Jungkook's calming voice from his side of the room, his tone low and measured, as if trying to ease the tension without provoking the tiger hybrid further. "You’re safe. We’re safe, alright? It’s just Y/N, shes the lady that helped us, she’s not a threat.”
Y/N’s heart tightened. She immediately made eye contact with Jungkook, her silent understanding clear. He nodded in return, a soft reassurance for her to continue. She raised her hands slowly in front of her, palms open, non-threatening.
"I’m not here to hurt you," she said, her voice steady and calm. "I just want to talk."
The growl softened, but Taehyung's eyes stayed sharp, his posture tense. Y/N stepped forward carefully, her movements deliberate and non-threatening, her voice carrying the weight of both authority and compassion.
"You’re safe here. No one’s going to hurt you. I promise."
It took a few moments, but eventually, Taehyung’s growls subsided, though his wariness remained. Jungkook, who was sitting in the bed beside Taehyung’s, reached out a hand in a gesture of reassurance, but the tiger hybrid only briefly glanced at him before returning his focus to Y/N.
Y/N sat down beside them, careful not to make any sudden movements. She could feel the weight of their gazes on her as she pulled up a chair and settled in, ready to discuss the situation. The air was heavy with unspoken questions, and Y/N knew it was time to address their future.
“You both need more time to heal. Your bodies are too weak for you to leave. I can’t allow either of you to go just yet,” she began, her voice soft but firm. "You’re both malnourished and under observation for now. I need to make sure your bodies are strong enough.”
Jungkook nodded, understanding the gravity of her words. Taehyung remained silent, his gaze flickering between Y/N and Jungkook, as though he were deciding whether or not to trust her. "I know this is difficult," Y/N continued, "but I need to ask you a few things. There are questions that I’ve been trying to answer for both your sakes. For all of us."
She looked directly at Taehyung. "Did you hear anything? Anything at all about the group that did this to you? Any name, any place?"
Taehyung’s expression faltered for a moment, as though the question brought him back to a painful memory. After a long pause, he finally spoke, his voice rough and strained.
"I think I heard someone say the name once, something like 'The Order.' That’s all I know."
Y/N’s blood ran cold at the mention of the name. The warmth drained from her face, and her breath hitched in her throat. The Order. Her heart pounded in her chest as memories from her early days as a hybrid doctor flashed in her mind. She knew them. She had worked on several cases where victims of The Order had barely made it out alive. She had been called in as an expert witness in the rare cases that had gone to court. But even then, those who survived were never truly free of the scars left by that group.
The Order was a brutal trafficking syndicate that would sell hybrids to anyone willing to pay what they deemed them worth. They were merciless, showing no compassion, disposing of those they deemed imperfect, or worse, “defective.” Y/N had once treated a small koala hybrid who had escaped them, but the trauma they endured was not something she’d ever forget.
Her body tensed, and she stood up abruptly, her hands trembling slightly as she tried to steady herself. Jungkook and Taehyung looked up, startled by the sudden movement. Y/N quickly composed herself, forcing a deep breath to steady her racing pulse.
"I’m going to stop them," she muttered, more to herself than anyone else. "I don’t care what it takes. I’ll put an end to what they’re doing."
Both boys exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with understanding, but unsure that it can be done. Jungkook spoke up softly, "Thank you Y/N. We know you’ll do everything you can."
Before Y/N could respond, a knock on the door interrupted the moment. A nurse stepped in, carrying two trays of food. Y/N offered them a soft smile.
"Alright, let’s get you both something to eat. I’ll leave you to rest," she said, her voice returning to its usual calm and professional tone. "I’ll be back to check on you later." She gave both of them a quick wave and stepped out of the room, leaving them to their meal.
Later that evening, as Y/N wrapped up her shift and passed off the care of the clinic to the night nurse, she made her way home, regretting walking to work this morning. The chill in the air nipped at her skin, and she regretted not bringing a jacket, but the icy wind felt like a distant thought compared to the storm brewing inside her. The mention of The Order weighed heavily on her mind. She knew what she had to do.
———————————————————————————
Halfway to her home, the unthinkable happened. Someone crashed into her, knocking her to the ground. She froze, but when the person didn’t move, panic flared in her chest.
Moments before the fall the hybrid had been in the opposing alleyway hunkered down behind a dumpster shivering and sore. But as he smelled the faint scent of two of his younger pack mates from down the dark alley way near the street, he jumped to his feet. The man took off at a sprint using all of the energy left in his body to make it to the source of the smell. By the time he came close he realized it was a woman, trying to stop but realizing he was too close for that, he barreled in with force, knocking them both to the ground. With a groan they fell and as the fox hybrid realized that the woman, who ever she is, might be a part of the trafficking ring he accepted his fate, deciding a life with his pack and with the The Order would be better than a life of living on the streets without them.
With a low groan Y/N sat up quickly, with just a glance she realized that the person who had knocked her down was a man. Disheveled and covered in dirt, he sat just in front of her. His eyes were unfocused, and as Y/N took in the details, she realized the man was a hybrid. His sand-colored ears were upright, and after a quick inspection of his tail, her suspicions were confirmed—the man was a Fennec Fox hybrid.
Her eyes widened as she took in his condition. His clothes were torn, his skin was battered with cuts, and his body looked frail, like he had been running for far too long. His breath was shallow, and he swayed unsteadily as his hand shot out to grasp her arm with a low unsteady growl he tried to focus on her. He spoke his voice barely audible as he whispered one word.
"Taehyung."
Before Y/N could respond, the hybrid fainted, collapsing into her arms. She didn’t hesitate. Her training kicked in. She checked his pulse—it was erratic, a sign of exhaustion or worse. Quickly, Y/N scooped him up, looping his arm over her shoulder as she pulled out her phone.
"Minji, I need a pickup now. We’ve got another one. His condition is unstable." Minji understood and immediately sent a pair of male nurses off to help.
Deciding it was better not to wait for assistance in the middle of the street, she began to walk at a slow agonizing pace towards the clinic struggling to keep the hybrid upright.
But the weight of the fennec fox hybrid leaning against her shoulder didn’t feel all that heavy, not when compared to the weight of the knowledge she carried in her heart. The Order was real, and now, more than ever, Y/N knew that one way or another she had to find the others, and get them to safe place before they’re found by the despicable organization.

Chapter One - Predator and Prey
———————————————————————————
Y/N had always known that the world was not kind to hybrids—the half-human, half-animal beings who often faced prejudice, abuse, and exploitation. As a veterinarian dedicated to their care, she had made it her mission to change that. That is why she studied so hard and worked her way up to become one of the youngest hybrid specialists in her area, and when she opened The Equal Paws Clinic, she created a space where hybrids could receive the same care and compassion that any human would deserve. Over the years, her clinic had become a sanctuary for injured and abused hybrids, a place where they could find safety and healing, and Y/N made sure to employ others who shared her ideals.
But tonight, she was about to face a situation unlike anything she had ever encountered.
It was late, and Y/N was drifting into a deep sleep when she was startled by the shrill ring of her phone, jolting her awake. She glanced at the screen: it was Minji, her overnight head nurse. The panic in Minji’s voice was immediate. "Y/N, we’ve got an emergency. Two hybrids just showed up, and they’re in bad shape. Please, you need to get here right away."
Her heart skipped a beat. "What happened?"
“ We don’t know honestly, they won’t talk to us they’re scared out of their minds. Jaehyun found them in one of the rooms when he was making his rounds collecting the trash bins. Apparently the side door was left unlocked and they slipped in. I think one of them was looking for medical supplies.” Hearing this and uncaring that the side door was unlocked for the time being but thankful that is was honestly, Y/N sprung out of bed in a rush.
With urgency in her veins, Y/N threw on a jacket, grabbed her keys, and sped to the clinic. The dark streets blurred past her as she focused on the road, her mind racing with questions. What kind of injuries were they dealing with? What had they gone through?
When she arrived at The Equal Paw Clinic, the atmosphere was tense. Minji was waiting at the door, her face pale with concern. "They’re in room 2.” Minji said, her voice shaking slightly. "Please, Y/N, they need you." Y/N nodded, feeling the weight of the situation settle over her. As she followed Minji down the hall to the trauma room, she steeled herself for whatever she would find. She had treated countless injured hybrids before, but something in her gut told her this was different.
———————————————————————————
The sight in the room took Y/N by surprise.
There were two hybrids, both injured and huddled together in a way that immediately caught Y/N’s attention. The first hybrid, a chital deer hybrid, was a young man his small antlers barely protruding from his head, only a few inches long. He was crouched protectively over the second hybrid, a golden tiger hybrid, who appeared to either be the same age or slightly older than his companion. But what caught Y/N’s eye first was the bloody gash oozing thick red liquid at an alarming rate. The tiger hybrid was unconscious, bleeding heavily from a deep wound in his stomach, and his head rested in the deer hybrid’s lap. The sight of a prey hybrid—especially one as gentle in appearance as the deer—protecting a predator hybrid, especially one of such size and strength, was almost enough of a shock for Y/N to freeze for a second. Her mind raced, processing the oddity of the situation. The instinctual predator-prey dynamic was an integral part of hybrid biology, yet here was this deer hybrid, visibly terrified by the situation he found himself in, but refusing to leave the tiger’s side. It was uncommon for a prey hybrid to protect a predator, and even more uncommon for what appeared to be a deep bond to form between the two.
But Y/N quickly regained her composure. Her role here was clear: treat the hybrids, help them, and figure out how this happened. She stepped into the room, her voice calm but firm. "I’m here to help. My name is Y/N. I’m a vet, and I can help both of you, but I need you to trust me."
The deer hybrid, whose large brown eyes were wide with fear, shifted slightly, his posture still defensive. He growled low, a soft warning, as he shifted his posture to appear more threatening. The protective instinct in him was palpable. Y/N could see how scared he was, but she also recognized the deep bond between the two hybrids. This was not just an animal protecting itself; this was a bond that had been there for years.
"I’m not here to hurt you," Y/N continued, lowering her voice to a soothing tone. "I want to help your friend. I need to patch him up before he loses too much blood."
The deer hybrid’s eyes flicked to the unconscious tiger, his chest heaving as if he was torn between protecting his companion and letting Y/N treat him. After a long moment, the deer hybrid—who Y/N would later learn was named Jungkook—reluctantly moved his arms just enough for her to access the tiger hybrid’s wound. But even then, he didn’t leave his side.
Y/N’s focus immediately shifted to the tiger. His wound was deep and bleeding profusely, a life-threatening injury if left untreated. She quickly asked the deer for help lifting his partner onto the awaiting patient bed and once there, with quick precision, she sterilized the area, cleaning out debris and carefully stitching up the gaping wound. All the while, she kept talking to Jungkook, explaining each step to keep him calm.
"I know this is hard, but you’re doing great," Y/N said as she worked. "I’m going to stop the bleeding, and then we’ll take care of the rest. I need you to stay with him. He needs you."
Jungkook nodded, his gaze unwavering from her as he carefully examined what she was doing, making sure she didn’t make a single wrong move or show an inclination of hurting the tiger hybrid more.
———————————————————————————
After what felt like an eternity, Y/N finally managed to stabilize the tiger. The bleeding had stopped, and although he was still unconscious, his vital signs had improved. She carefully checked for any other injuries but aside from the wound to his stomach she could not find anymore seriously concerning ones for the time being. Aside from both hybrids having minor scraps and bruises, they both appeared to be extremely malnourished from lack of proper care. Dirt littered their skin and if you felt their ribs you’d swear you could count every single one.
Jungkook let out a soft sigh of relief, his tense body relaxing for the first time since Y/N entered the room.
"Thank you," Jungkook whispered, his voice hoarse. “My name is Jungkook, and his name is Taehyung, he... he means so much to me so thank you for helping him." Y/N gave him a small, reassuring smile. "You did well. He’s going to be okay, but now he needs rest, and so do you." She took a moment to set up an additional bed for Jungkook beside his companions, after getting him settled down she prepared an IV drip for both hybrids to help with hydration and pain management before she sat beside them.
Jungkook shifted, finally speaking again, his voice quieter now, but still filled with a hint of fear. "We were part of a group. There were seven of us—hybrids who were going to be sold, auctioned off to the highest bidder. We managed to escape, but we.. we got separated in the process." He paused, glancing at Taehyung. "I... I don’t know where the others are. We were running, and I couldn’t think straight. I just had to get him out of there."
Y/N’s heart sank as she listened. She knew of hybrid trafficking and although it is illegal a lot of people turn a blind eye to it as most only see hybrids as pets, others as objects. The fact that they had gotten separated meant that there were others out there, still in danger and possible in worse shape than Taehyung. But when she pressed for more details, trying to get a sense of who the people behind this operation were, Jungkook’s face clouded with confusion and fear.
"I don’t know who they were," he admitted, his voice trembling. "I was too scared to remember. We were just trying to survive."
Y/N could feel the helplessness in his words, the weight of the trauma he had been through. But she also knew that she had to keep going. She couldn’t let the ones responsible escape justice.
"We’ll figure it out," Y/N said softly, her voice full of determination. "I’ll find out who did this to you however I can, and I’ll make sure they’re held accountable."
Jungkook nodded weakly, a small flicker of hope in his eyes.
As Y/N stayed by their side, making sure both hybrids were comfortable and stable, a quiet vow formed in her heart. She had treated countless hybrid victims of abuse and cruelty, but this case felt different. The darkness that had caused such pain to these two was not something she would let go easily. She would find the people who had hurt them—and the others—and she would make sure they never hurt anyone again.
Its cases like these that made her become who she is, and do what she does. And with that promise, Y/N remained by their side that night, silently swearing to herself that she would stop at nothing to bring justice to the hybrids who had suffered in the shadows.

Little Knight
Pairing: Dragon King! Yoongi x Reader
Genre: Fantasy, dragon shifter, fluff, romance.

———————————————————————————
The kingdom of Eldoria had always had a hatred for dragons. Ever since Y/N was a child, she had been taught that they were monstrous beasts—killers of men, destroyers of villages. But she had never believed that. Y/N had been raised on stories of fire and blood, yet she saw something else in dragons: power, beauty, and a wild freedom she could never hope to attain as a knight of King Junyoung’s court. Still, she had sworn her loyalty to the human kingdom, sworn to serve, and so when she was given the mission to track and kill an injured dragon in the Shadowpine Woods, she had no choice but to obey.
With her sword strapped to her hip and her armor glinting in the dappled forest light, she moved through the dense trees, the scent of damp earth filling her lungs. The reports had said that the dragon was gravely wounded, that it had crash-landed somewhere deep in the heart of the woods after an encounter with Eldoria’s seaside forces. Killing it should have been easy.
But when Y/N found him, she froze. The dragon lay in a clearing, his massive body curled around himself in pain. His scales were darker than midnight, yet as the sunlight filtered through the trees and struck his body, they shimmered with a breathtaking emerald hue. His chest rose and fell with labored breaths, his left wing tattered and bloodied but healing ever so slightly by the second. And then, his head lifted slowly, and she was met with piercing golden eyes—intelligent, powerful, and searing into her very soul.
Something inside her stirred, something ancient and unexplainable. This wasn’t just a beast. He was ‘Alive’ in a way that humans could never understand.
She tightened her grip on her sword, hesitating. The dragon—Yoongi, as she would later come to know—stared at her, not with fear, but with curiosity. There was no hatred in his gaze, no fury. Only… recognition.
“I won’t kill you,” Y/N whispered, sheathing her sword.
Yoongi let out a deep exhale, his massive body relaxing slightly. And though he could not speak in this form, she swore she saw a glimmer of something knowing in his eyes.
She turned away from him and left.
———————————————————————————
When she returned to the castle that night word had gotten to the king of what she had done, or really what she hadn’t done. King Junyoung sat upon his golden throne, his sharp eyes narrowing as she knelt before him in the grand hall, surrounded by nobles and fellow knights.
“You let it live?” His voice was cold, dangerous.
Y/N lifted her chin. “Yes, Your Majesty.”
Murmurs erupted throughout the court. A knight refusing to slay a dragon? It was treason. Junyoung’s fingers drummed against the armrest of his throne. “You have disobeyed a direct order, Y/N.” His voice was quieter now, but no less lethal. “You have betrayed your kingdom.” Y/N clenched her fists. She had always known this would be the consequence, but she would not regret her choice.
“I cannot, in good conscience, kill a creature that meant no harm, he was merely flying past and our forces attacked.” she said, voice steady. Junyoung’s eyes darkened. “Then you are no knight of mine.” The guards stepped forward, swords at the ready. Y/N closed her eyes, accepting her fate.
But then, the ground trembled.
A powerful gust of wind burst through the throne room doors as they were thrown open with a resounding boom. Gasps filled the air as shadows loomed in the entrance, towering figures stepping inside. Dragons.
Or rather—dragon shifters. And at the center of them all stood him. Yoongi. No longer in his dragon form, he was now a man of striking beauty. His black hair fell in soft waves around his sharp features, his piercing golden eyes unwavering as they locked onto hers. He was dressed in dark, regal attire, his presence exuding an authority that sent shivers down the spines of all who dared to look at him. And behind him stood an army of dragon knights, their expressions cold and unyielding.
The court was silent. Yoongi stepped forward, his voice smooth yet commanding. “She is mine” he stated firmly. Y/N’s breath hitched as Junyoung’s face twisted in fury. “What?” Yoongi’s golden gaze did not waver. “She is my mate,” he declared. “And if you lay a single hand upon her, King of Eldoria, then you will be starting a war you cannot win.” A collective gasp echoed through the hall.
Mate.
Y/N’s heart pounded in her chest. She had heard of such bonds before—rare, powerful connections that transcended mere emotion. It was a claim made only by dragons, an unbreakable bond forged by fate itself. Yoongi had known the moment he saw her in the woods. And now, he had come to claim her.
Junyoung’s jaw clenched, his fury palpable. But he was not a fool. To defy the Dragon King would be to bring ruin upon his kingdom. After a long silence, he spat, “Take her and go.”
Yoongi smirked, satisfied. He turned to Y/N then, stepping closer. His hand reached for her, fingers brushing against her cheek with a gentleness that contrasted the raw power he had just displayed. “You are mine little knight.” He spoke to her softly, staring into her eyes with his piercing golden gaze.
Y/N swallowed hard, her heart hammering as he leaned in. And then he kissed her. It was a kiss that stole the breath from her lungs, that partially sealed the bond between them with a force more powerful than any words. The court watched in stunned silence as the Dragon King claimed his mate before their very eyes.
When he pulled back, he whispered, “Come with me.”
Y/N glanced once at the court she had served, the kingdom that had cast her aside. And then she took Yoongi’s hand. As the dragons left the castle, Y/N at their king’s side, she knew one thing for certain:
She had never been more free.

Help please! I cant remember the name of a fanfic!
I've been trying to find a fanfiction series that I read ages ago. I can't remember the name and wanted to know if anyone knew what it was called. I believe it's a Jimin fanfiction where he is a reincarnation of a god, and the reader or oc (i cant remember which it is) is also a reincarnation of a goddess but she was reincarnated human. Her family were abusive or something like that so she ran away into a forest and then met Jimin. He's described to have black wings like an angel or something but anyways she ends up leaving with him.
That's most of what I mainly remember except for something to do with flowers that grow at some places they go that involves their past selves and the love they had. Also she ends up meeting her family again but she won't stay with them.
