That's how Nathan played with Toki when they first got him. Charles told the band that Toki needed to do other things than play guitar and sit in an apartment that smelled like stale beer and vomit. So they brainstorm what to do and Nathan remembers his old childhood dog. He used to shake his head to get him to play and they would go bonkers over it.

So he just goes over to Toki on the couch, grabs his face, shakes it, then leaves. Toki has /no clue/ what just happened, but it wasn't painful, and Nathan seemed to think it was funny, so it was alright. So every time Nathan saw Toki, he shook his head. Or if he was bored, he'd shake his head. And Toki thought it was so funny because it was physical contact that didn't hurt. And then it soon moved to play fighting. This is also where Nathan would start picking up Toki and putting him over his shoulder and walk around. Toki would love every second of it.
