Absolut Crackpot Conspiracy Theory: What if the tariffs trump imposed were not just overt market manipulation (like, he should know that that kind of instability makes the market plummet) but were specifically introduced JUST for that end goal. So he or others who follow him could potentially scare majority share holders into selling and then buy up the amount of shares needed to "get a seat at the table". Thats why it was thought through so badly and the stuff was so arbitrary because they didnt care as they knew from the beginning that they would pause/revert them. Thats why their arguement for tariffs dont make any sense. Thats why they dont actually care if the president lawfully has the power to do so. Because all they needed was just a little time, way quicker then any court could stop or enforce the laws that would prevent them to do this (and it helps that they seem to have most of the higher courts on their side).

I am not american, i know jackshit about the politics and stocks, all i know about what happend is from videos by legal eagle and hank green, i have 0% proof of anything and this isnt meant to be taken seriously. It is weaving fact (that this manipulated the market, since as far as i know trump posted "This is a perfect time to buy" before pausing the tarrifs, or that the tarrifs dont make sense and speak of a terribly wrong understanding of how economics work) with stuff i just came up with on the spot with no proof or source, but it SOUNDS plausible because of that intertwining. But if this was the truth, people way smarter and knowledgeably then me would have already found evidence of this (no clue how open stock market transactions are but there probably would be ways) especially with how many eyes are on the stockmarket and trumps actions currently. So yes, probably dont take theories from a random tumblr user as anything more then fiction. Idk where i was going with this, kind of "nah, i didn't crack anything, im just spittballing bullshit and if i actually start believing what i came up with i aint no better then the corona conspiracy believers. This last part was mostly for myself debunking myself to myself by myself. Huh.
