SHE   HAD   ALWAYS   PRIDED   HERSELF   ON   MAINTAINING   HER   SELF-CONTROL.   since   her   early   days   as   queen   when   she   named   herself   ‘amidala’   in   order   to   separate   her   queen   persona   from   just   being   able   to   be   herself.   over   time,   that   control   over   herself   became   as   easy   as   breathing.   yet   when   faced   when   meeting   her   daughter   for   the   time,   the   former   queen   seemed   to   be   struggling   with   the   urge   to   hold   the   other   in   her   arms.   “it’s   a   long   story.”   she   says   with   a   sigh,   though   it   was   hopeful   inaudible.   “and   one   not   easily   told.”   she   admitted,   a   faraway   look   in   her   eyes   for   a   moment   before   it   vanished   and   she   looked   back   at   leia;   a   small   smile   gracing   her   face.   “I   AM   YOUR   BIRTH   MOTHER   THOUGH,   THAT   I   CAN   ASSURE   YOU.”

a   mother   who   had   given   her   up  ,    though   to   hear   her   parents   tell   it       (    and   they   don’t   often   speak   of   it    )  ,    it   had   been   a   great   sacrifice   on   her   part.       “      my   parents   would   never   tell   me   anything   about   you.      ”       leia   swallows   against   the   lump   forming   in   her   throat.       “      they   said   it   wasn’t   safe      --      but   i   know   now.      it’s   because   you’re   believed   to   be   dead  ,    isn’t   it?      because   our   father   would   have   found   all   of   us.      ”

okay, i think when i get back from the doctor i’m going to go ahead and shift to my new blog.  all threads that are my turn are in my drafts there.  if there are any threads you want to continue after i move, you are more than welcome to do that!  just please im it to me on the new blog since tumblr’s notifications don’t really work!

pathwronged ,

ellie  hadn’t  really anticipated  any  of  this.  she’d  never  imagined  actually training  to  be  a  jedi  —–   she’d  had  to  hide  everything  for  so  long  that  actually  using  her  abilities  felt  foreign.  she’d  caught  on  quickly,  but  it  still  was  something  to  get  used  to.  “ well,  now  everyone  talks  about  you.  you’re  always  given  all  the  exciting  stuff  to  do. ”  she  always  heard  of  master  skywalker  going  out  on  missions  that  everyone  envied,  always  being  the  talk  of  the  temple.  “ i  don’t  think  i’m  going  to  miss  it.  i  get  that  all  of  this  is  supposed  to  help  me,  but  someone  telling  me  to  meditate  for  a  few  hours  seems  kinda  stupid. ”

that  ,    he   can’t   argue   with.      he   is   given   exciting   missions      --      but   with   good   reason.       “      that’s   because   i’m   the   only   one   crazy   enough   to   do   some   of   it  ,      ”       he   objects  ,    but   the   corner   of   his   mouth   twitches   either.       “      i’m   not   too   good   at   meditation   either  ,    but   that   doesn’t   make   it   stupid.      it’s   necessary.      ”
