Hi, my name is Shelby. I'm sixteen years old, and I'm just trying to make it through the year. “We are quicksilver, a fleeting shadow, a distant sound… our home has no boundaries beyond which we cannot pass. We live in music, in a flash of color… we live on the wind and in the sparkle of a star!”

One Good Stretch Before Our Hibernation || Personal
Everyone take a deep breath, yes? Grab a cup of nice drink, this may be a long one.
Walt Academy---where do I begin with you?
I remember the very first days when the only little students running around were a deer, a mermaid, a warrior of China, a sea witch, a little skeleton girl and a crab.
For more than a year now, this place, all of you people, you were my sanctuary. My home away from home, if you will. The one place I had to escape from all of the shit going on in the real world and in my own mind, and to enter this one, through the eyes of Shelby Crabb.
And Shelby and I, we both made some amazing friends along the way. Shelby even got a few new roommates, namely Bamba, Daphne, Ben, Raina, Max, Finn, Spencer, Amanda, Lola, Raye, Landon, and Ophelia.
And sometimes, a few stragglers, (namely Daphne Raye and Landon) didn't make it to this point.
I have grown so attached to these little idiots, they were almost like little horcruxes--pieces of my own boggled mind. They have acted as coping mechanisms, and as teachers. Examples of the ways that things can go, of how to trust, to love, to grow.
Which only hurts me to say more--
I will be leaving Walt Academy.
I will miss you guys incredibly, but not nearly as much as I have loved watching all of you grow, not only as writers, but as people as well.
The friends I have made along this journey have changed me. And for that, I cannot thank you enough. I do hope that the seemingly frayed ends being left are not severed here. My reasons to leave at this time are all my own. I will be keeping all of my characters blogs open, just for my own nostalgia. Perhaps one day, you'll see a crazy little redhead come back on the dash. I hope you'll smile, because she'd surely be smiling at you.
If you remember nothing else from me, I just ask that you please remember these things, above all else.
You are each wonderful people.
You will each be in my heart.
You all deserve more thank yous than I could ever speak.
You are all loved.
To those of whom whose path does divert from mine, I wish you every success in all your endeavors, even those beyond Walt Academy.
This piece is specifically for Jordan:
Don't ever let tell you that you're less than wonderful. You have a maturity that speaks beyond your years and are a wonderful role model for people. You did such a wonderful job with creating our little world. I hope that every happiness comes to you, that your dreams come true, and that you really don't ever change. Thank you for giving me a place to hide, and for culminating a community of beautiful people. Thank you, thank you, thank you.  I love you.

It’s in the air now, bitter tears and broken hearts. We’re teenagers, we count the years, we think we’re smart but we’re not, we don’t know anything.

The Veronicas - Untouched
“Don’t even talk about the consequence
Cause right now you’re the only thing that’s making any sense to me
And I don’t give a damn what they say, what they think think
Cause you’re the only one who’s on my mind”

Shelby's hands slid against his skin, digging slightly into his back as his lips moved against her skin. "No," She breathed, the word mumbled to no more than a vibration behind her lips. "We don't have to wait," She said, more audibly, her hands rubbing up and down his back. "Nope," She chuckled, peeping up on her toes to kiss him properly. "We shouldn't."

Blake smirked as her hands maneuvered under his shirt and he held her close to him. “Do I have to?” he asked, craning his face down to leave heart-shaped kisses along her tanned neck. “We can wait if you want,” he added, his hands loosing and tightening their grip on her waist. “But…I’d rather not,” the pirate laughed.

Shelby walked with excitement in her feet. She was grateful that Blake had taken her hand, otherwise she'd have stopped as soon as they walked into the hotel. The only thing she'd have equated the lobby to was the palace in Atlantica, it took most of her mental capacity not to let her jaw drop at the sight of it. Though she still couldn't quite grasp why Blake would throw so much money on her, no one had ever really done something like this for her, she couldn't help but appreciate it. Blake had always been sweet. With her, at least. A sound between a giggle and a squeal escaped her lips as they elevator doors closed and Blake's hands were on her. "Couldn't wait any longer?" She asked, flirtatiously teasing, as her hands slipped under his shirt to feel the warm, muscle-toned skin beneath.

.He grabbed her by the hand and squeezed it once as they walked, leading her through a spinning door. “Hill-oo!” he called to the man behind the counter of the rather spacious foyer. Blake’s tone startled the employee, and only had to toss a couple big bills at him before receiving a set of keys. The moment they were behind the closed doors of the elevator, his hands were a-wandering.

Shelby hummed a sound of surprise that was left muffled against Blake's lips. She fit her body against his, gently laying her hands against him. She couldn't help but feel herself smiling. "Alright," She breathed, looking up at Blake through thick eyelashes. "Alright," She repeated, stealing another quick kiss.
I'm Aiming for Heaven, but Probably End up in Hell || Shake
Blake’s heart dropped a bit as she said it was “just” her. Shelby was worth more to Blake than she’d ever know. He reached his hands up and cupped her face in both hands, pulling her in close for a kiss, running his tongue across her bottom lip. “Come on,” he breathed, his lips warm against hers. “I want to,” the pirate added, sliding his fingers through her brilliantly red hair.

Shelby turned her attention to where Blake had pointed out and felt her eyes widen. "There?" She asked, one eyebrow raising as she looked back at Blake. It seemed almost too fancy, but on that thought she felt as though she had to see it for what it was worth. "Oh, Blake--," Her voice stammered slightly. "I couldn't possibly let you pay for that. It's just me here," She said, chuckling almost nervously as she briefly locked eyes with a valet who couldn't be any older than either of them.

Blake scratched the scruff on his cheek, his tongue pressing against one of his pointed teeth as she talked, unable to hold back the grin. “How about…” Blake looked around, shunning the idea of the restaurant they’d spotted a while ago. “How about…there?” he pointed to a ritzy hotel and pulled out his clip of cash.

Shelby pretended to study Blake's chest. "Well, maybe if you got yourself fitted into a nice bra, you might be able to get something," She teased, placing her hands where her eyes had been following. "Though, you've not much to show," She teased back, stepping back with a devilish grin. "Works for me though," She giggled. "Well, today it worked for us," She placed the bag in his hand and took her place beside him. "D'you see a place where we could test it?"

Blake’s eyebrows nearly hit his hairline when she came back with so much for so little. “Nice! I’ll have to pull my tits out next time I want a deal too,” he teased her and pointed at the bag. “That is impressive though,” the pirate shook his head in disbelief. He almost questioned if men were really that shallow, but he knew the answer. Yes.

"I worry about you two sometimes," Shelby chuckled, her head falling on Finley's shoulders. "You know Jagger would do anything for you," She sighed, realizing she was in no position to say a word to Finley. At least his fun wasn't as destructive as hers. Her only upside was that she was her only victim. "I'd miss you if they locked you up for that long. I'd have to come visit you and send you birthday cakes with files in them," She giggled. "Next victim, next victim," She laid her chin on the boy's shoulders and looked about. "Ah," She sighed. "I dunno. Who looks the least suspecting?"
We Could Set Fire To The Sun || Shelby and Finley
Finley chuckled, “It’s me I’m really worried about. The guys at juvie are all tired of seeing me and Jagger. They told me that the next time they catch me, I’m going away for at least two years.” It was the main reason he volunteered to go to Walt. The judge agreed to lessen his sentence for his last offence if he voluntarily went to a boarding school of his choice. Finley watched as the small bomb went off inside the bucket, making more noise than fire. He laughed, then held on tightly to Shelby’s legs to keep her secure before he ran off. “Who’s our next victim?” he asked her.

"I'd love to," Shelby said, her voice light, dreamlike even. "I've always wanted to see Ireland," Shelby chuckled, sticking the money in her bra, just enough so that its value stuck out to the world. She shimmied her shirt down just the slightest bit more and licked her lips. "Okay, wait here, right?" She sauntered over to the car and leaned against the open window, batting her long eyelashes at the men. It only took a few minutes of conversation, of false giggles and wide eyes and the obvious oogling of obviously too-old men before she returned, practically skipping in her step. "'S'all it really takes," She chuckled, sticking the fat bag into Blake's hand. "Got for twenty what I should've got for eighty," Shelby shrugged, putting her shirt back proper. "You can't hang with cons and not learn at least something," She laughed, waving at the men as they drove off.

"Yeah, well maybe you can come visit some time. We’ve got a spare bedroom," he smiled, glancing beyond her to the two men who looked rather more nervous than anything else. "I’d love to," Blake grinned back at her, eyebrows raised as he waited to see what it was she was going to do. The siren could always surprise him; never a dull moment with her.

"Listen honey," Shelby laughed. "I'm still underage. I'm not going anywhere," She added, holding on a little tighter to Finley in order to keep them balanced. She laughed as he handed her the lighter and flicked it open, ready to use it. She watched their movement precisely, striking at the exact right moment. "Got 'em!"
We Could Set Fire To The Sun || Shelby and Finley
"Go tame or go to jail, more like," Finley snorted, "If we’re going to make things happen around here, we have to let them happen gradually." Every ridiculous plan Finley had ever made always worked one way or another. He put a lot more thought into them than most people imagined. Finley pointed to the bucket, then pulled a small skull shaped lighter out of his pocket. He passed the lighter to Shelby and proceeded to walk slowly past the old couple. "Do it real smoothlike," he whispered to Shelby.

Shelby's lips continued on Jake's body, her eyes glancing up at him as he moaned her name. Little things like that helped to just keep pushing her towards that edge. It hit her like a hard wall, leaving her moaning, breathing heavily. But she continued to move, wanting to watch Jake reach his own edge.

"I forgot you'd be going back," Shelby said, feeling the unwanted disappointment she'd tried to hide. Of course she'd miss him, she always missed him when he was away. But somehow she believed he'd come back, he always did. "I'm sure we could find someone in this city selling," She licked her lips slowly, watching as the busy people went about their day. Sometimes, she liked to imagine where they were going. There was a couple walking by off to be food for the flat. There was a woman wearing too-high heels surely headed on a first date. There was a man, tucked away with another man that hurried to his car, looking fifty shades of nervous. "I'd betcha he knows where to get it," She nodded to the two men, a light soon sparkling in her eyes. She reached for her purse and took a folded up bill from it, flicking it once. "You wanna see a trick?" She chuckled mischievously, biting her lower lip.

Blake nodded his head back in the general direction of the boat. “Child care for the evening. Should be asleep by now,” he added, glancing down at his wrist watch. “I could really use some spliff. Sent my supplies back to Ireland with most of my luggage.”

"She might have," Shelby laughed. "Stranger things have happened," She mused. Shelby really did adore Molly, and that thought alone seemed strange to her. There was some little part of her the jumped excitedly at knowing that maybe Blake was thinking the same as she. "Speaking of which, where is she?" She giggled.
I'm Aiming for Heaven, but Probably End up in Hell || Shake
Blake nodded and laughed in reply. “Probably,” he agreed. “I probably wouldn’t have had Molly,” the thought made him shudder. “Or perhaps I would’ve. She’d have looked different though,” he licked his dry lips and laughed. “She’d have a tangle of red hair, maybe?” The pirate hip-checked her with another laugh.
