Image Resizing – When and Why You Should Do It
In an era where we take more photos than ever using smartphones and digital cameras, managing image sizes is becoming increasingly important. High-quality photos can take up significant storage space, affect device performance, and slow down file transfers. Resizing images is a simple yet highly useful task.
Why Should You Resize Images?
Save Storage Space – Modern cameras produce high-resolution images that can take up several megabytes. Reducing their size helps free up valuable storage on your device or hard drive.
Faster Website Loading – If you publish images on a website or blog, smaller file sizes load faster, improving user experience and boosting SEO performance.
Easier Sharing – Sending smaller images via email or messaging apps is faster and consumes less data.
Optimizing for Print or Presentations – Full resolution isn’t always necessary. Images used in documents, thumbnails, or slideshows can be resized without any noticeable quality loss.
How to Resize Images on Android?
For Android users, a great solution is the Photo Resizer HD app, available for free on Google Play:

If you prefer not to install any apps, you can use a free online tool directly in your browser:

Summary

Depending on your needs, you can choose a mobile app or an online tool—both are free and user-friendly, even for beginners. A small step that can make a big difference in your digital routine.

How to upload horizontal and vertical photos to Instagram without cropping.
Normally when you try to edit you're photo on Instagram, you will be asked to crop it before you can upload it. The best solution to this problem is using a free app from Google Play called ”Insta Square Maker”. The first step is to download the app and open it.
Then press button “Gallery” and select your photo. You will be taken to this screen.
Your photo will have added white margins on the top and bottom of landscape photos, on the right and left sides of portrait photos. Here you can change frame color, move and rotate picture in frame and add margins.
Using right bottom button you can export picture to Instagram.
And complete! Thanks!
