Lac Beauvert from Old Fort Point Lookout in Jasper. Short but steep hike with panoramic views of Lac Beauvert, Athabasca river, Jasper Park Lodge, etc. Great areas with other hiking trails around for a day outside!

Well well well, I’d love a story for this one but outside of meeting happy hikers each time I get to the top of Parker Ridge, I don’t have too much. This is one of my favorite, as well as others as it is always quite busy but still majestic. You would see this hiking place by the number of cars parked at the bottom. After passing Big Ben (north direction), you will get to the top of the hill and see a parking filled with cars and a famous hot house if you need to empty your bladder too. Take the time to stop there and hike it, it might be steep but it’s worth the view!

What did you encounter during one of your hikes? Here’s my little story about hiking in Banff National Park. We headed to Sunset Lookout, which is a gorgeous hike with an amazing view of the Rockies as you can see in the picture below. But my favorite moment, after finally getting to the lookout, was this my luck to spot a mountain goat just chilling around. Like us, I suppose the mountain goat was enjoying the view. I can now say I had a picnic with my favorite animal, the mountain goat!!! Yah!

What did you do in your 20s?

It seems I decided to travel the world but also experienced travelling in my own country. A must do really! Whaf a great time and awesome memories. One of them is working for Hostelling International in a Wilderness Hostel.

No power, no Internet, just no reception at all! Only the company of travellers and nature. It was an awesome time where I recall living the moment, letting the beauty of nature do the rest. A summer of hiking, laughs and peace.

Grateful I got the chance to have this experience and still missing that view each day!
