i kind of wish the anti voting people wouldn’t dance around the idea of what happens after the election. Like okay, the democrats lose, you taught them a lesson (and fwiw, I do think its a legitimate message to send- the people are not happy with the actions and status quo of the DNC). Now What. Trump, the multiply indicted crime president who incited a violent mob upon the capitol, is now President. He has all the qualities you hate about Biden, AND more, except he and his administration have even less reason to be sensitive to the wishes of their democratic constituents. He is a puppet for the far right and white supremacists and christian nationalists. I really shouldn’t even have to go over this- we LIVED it already. Genuinely asking, is this what you want? Because frankly I do not think 4 more years of Trump is worth it over Biden. Your hands are not clean, this is the future you want to choose. I just don’t understand why.

If you don’t like Biden, vote in your god damn local and mid term elections for third party or further left candidates so that we get better democratic candidates for future elections. But this one is already fucking decided, and I’m NOT ending up under a Trump led dictatorship because yall value protecting your personal sense of moral purity over the collective good. Whether it offends your personal morals to vote for Biden is IRRELEVANT in the face of the alternative.

This isn’t a lesser of two evils situation. One guy sucks. The other guy is LITERALLY PLANNING TO OVERTHROW OUR DEMOCRACY AND INSTALL HIMSELF AS A PUTIN STYLE DICTATOR.

PLEASE look up Project 2025 and stop acting like abstaining is some kind of personal ethical decision!

Child Of Apollo Ability Headcanons

With the resurgence of Percy Jackson (and as a self proclaimed child of Apollo) I had some thoughts about different abilities his children may have

This is not canon at all, just my own thoughts

Kids who have musical abilities that influence emotions, or voices that act similar to charm speak

Like Hephaestus kids and fire - the ability to control the sun in their hands

Kids who are seers and have the ability to predict the future

Kids with fantastic/photographic memories who help draw all of the things in the mythic world

Healers who can heal surface wounds with a wave of their hand, and healers who can memorize every illness and cure

Kids who have the ability to summon a swarm of locusts or infect someone with a disease with a touch

Archers who’s arrow never misses. Ever.

I think people forget that Apollo is a lot more than just healing + music + sun. He’s the god of poetry, knowledge, oracles, plagues - I feel like it’d make a lot of sense for his kids to have amazing memories and abilities that aren’t necessarily what you first think when you think Apollo.

i think my fav grover moment so far is him saying "also i'm 24" in the middle of a VERY drastic situation where he is trying to prep percy for what he is about to face. yes grover, the most important thing right now is explaining the satyr aging system. i can't wait for percy to bring it up like 5 episodes later when they're on better terms like "what the fuck did you mean when you said you were 24"
