I have prior experience with running a large community. A significant portion of what Pansear went through was similar to what I experienced during my time as a community figure, and I completely understand why they left. It takes a particular kind of person to withstand public perception for an extended period of time.

I finished the monk model in private! I am currently cooking something else up, stay tuned. ♡

I like this idea! Saint is stuck by virtue of the threat it poses to the cycle

my hc of Saint is a nihilist with unknown connection, not influenced by Sliver Simply put, nihilism is the belief that nothing ever truly matters, and acceptance of that absurd belief. I just see Saint just doing everything he can to play and have fun after like at LEAST a 100 cycles of thinking they're some holier than thou chosen one after seeing a glowing symbol and swimming to it in the void Like (in my hc) they were born mortal, you can only see yourself living familiar setpieces over and over until you at least try something different, everything doesn't matter to them anymore, repeating the same song and dance over and over, when the void is gonna rust up to the surface anyway My Saint admits his purpose is null, the thought process of "My existence wasn't needed" was accepted, and now he's basically just trying his damndest to find meaning in the nothing, for that is nihilism's final goal, and have fun and (hopefully) explore where he hasn't gone yet, maybe choose a route and simply go every few ascensions to spice it up, new friends maybe? Who knows, they're excited. P.S. Nihilism doesn't mean only accepting depression and sadness, it's just "Do good just to do good, the fact it might not be worth anything doesn't matter" but replace Do Good with literally anything else, Ascend, Make Tragedies, Befriend, Have No Morals, Be Moral, etc. etc.

A most sisyphean interpretation of Saint's journey! Your thoughts on saint 'ultimately not being needed' are intriguing. For a creature with such massive implications, saint is an almost invisible presence in the world. It can bring an end to superstructures and seemingly defy the cycle itself, but it is paradoxically incapable of affecting the world in any lasting way. Saint's time loop might be the cycle's way of neutralizing creatures powerful enough to threaten it, like how an oyster forms pearls around irritants.

hello i want to say i love your environment art, i love the feeling it gives, it’s so pretty.

do you have any tips for drawing environments? i’m trying my hand at it and your art is pretty so i wanted to know what tips you could give if any

Hello! Thank you :D Environments are a lot about form and depth. I start my environment art by using a large square brush to block in shapes before using a smaller brush to chisel the impressions of edges and details. I start in greyscale to make judging values easier, then use blending modes to apply color gradients for quick iteration. Here is some footage that helped me when I was starting!

Hey folks. On August 2023, I opened participation on the Kiss me Kill me Map starring Artihunter. After several months of struggle, the MAP is finally releasing! Alongside other RW Maps- as part of a Map Marathon.

I don't know if this has been answered anywhere but Nightcat likes to code stuff right? So I was wondering what exactly does he code like, is he a game dev or something like that?

This is poetry and I feel enough inspiration to fight a moose

Wait a minute if elves take a hundred years to grow up that has some weird implications.

So… if we say a human comes of age in fantasy worlds at 16, that means it takes an elf 6.25 years to age one human year. If we say the age of maturity is 18 that’s 5.55 years.

So then… okay with people that live a long time have to see their human friends die and probably see them like pets yeah that’s been explored to death. But what about a human just seeing their friend not grow up?

An elf toddler and a human toddler become friends at a playdate. At the time the human is two and the elf is 13. Emotionally the elf is just a little older than the human. But then the human grows up. He grows up and as he grows up his friend doesn’t. Not much, anyways.

She’s still sucking her thumb and throwing tantrums the entire time that he grows up. When he reaches the age where he’d choose a trade or go to an academy he’s earning extra money by babysitting her. During his initiation into adulthood on his 18th birthday she’s there with her parents holding a stuffed animal. Later that afternoon he sees her being shown some colorful flashcards with letters of the elvish alphabet on it by her father.

The human gets older. He learns how to fight, he goes from town to town getting work. At some point he joins the army. Every time he visits his hometown he has at least one more scar and by the time he’s 30 and the elf girl is mentally seven by human standards she starts to understand that something is wrong. Even after he settles down to be a home maker for the local blacksmith something feels wrong.

And she watches him grow old. When she’s in her 80s she babysits his grandchildren for extra cash after school, coming over in her school robes and ruffling his hair. She doesn’t remember why she became friends with this human or when but a strange sense of jealousy fills her heart.

Now she realizes it. She realizes it too late, on the day her friend learns that he is dying. The first day of her 100th year and the start of his last. Humans’ lifetimes may only last for the childhood of an elf if they’re lucky, but they learn so fast. They do so much. They cram their days full of love and hate and learning and wonder.

He knew this was coming. He knew all of this decades before she did, because elves are slow. Not stupid, certainly not stupid, but very very slow. She holds her old friend’s hand as he lays down on his bed. A man that has led such an ordinary life but feels so extraordinary to her. Because he has always, always been there and now he just won’t. Because in her eyes he became so wise so fast and now he’s just gonna be gone.

On an elf’s 100th birthday they are allowed to choose a new name for themselves. It can be important, or not. Usually it will follow them until the end of time. She stands in front of her family’s elders and is asked what name she will be called from now on.

She names herself after him.

Coming out as someone who is working on the doc and is directly involved with the situation, a few things I'd like to address as this whole thing is going on, DO NOT HARASS THE SHIPPING CONTAINER MODS, NOR ANYONE WITHIN SHIPPING CONTAINER, the decision has since been reverted and Emily has been banned, I would also to ask that people keep pansear away from the situation as they do not wish to be invovled, no harassment will be tolerated. There's also a few people I wanted to mention who are trying to ride off this to try to get in people's good graces, there was a video made by smolreapy, a proshipper and moderator for the server with all the feral and shit about irl animals in, do not engage with the video and wait for the actual doc to release, there was also a Tumblr post by nomnots, a known groomer, make it known that neither of these people are helping nor are they on our side here and to ignore them entirely. The doc is in progress but might take a bit to be released, give us time as we wish not to rush anything, thank you for your patience and please do not try to spread misinformation about any of the SC mods, or anything related to the situation
